I bet it's an achievement diary update. Makes sense, considering Jagex seem diligent about this. I can see a new break from the normal 2 quests/month as 1 quest and 1 achievement diary, at least until they catch up to a good amount of areas. Wouldn't work. Macros can easily identify and work through pin numbers purely because they don't use the screen as much as they do the packets being sent from the server. This is how they manage to get through randoms. All this would do is inconvenience people who are no-lifing their way up in levels (smithing, crafting, etc). Besides, Jagex has the ability to catch these people the instant they log in. They should work with that.

No, It's completely similar. Instead of losing a cheeseburger or fries, Jagex loses money. Runescape runs on Java, as you obviously know, which means that pretty much everything runs on a variable. Even when a bank space is empty, it's still taking up bandwidth as the variable is set to 0, yet the bank space is still there as an active variable. And who has to pay for that extra bandwidth? Jagex. F2p should worry about paying off the costs of their own servers with the click-ads before they start talking about updates. Take the graphics updates (quests/npcs/areas) and the random other things you guys get from time to time, and live with it.

Tip.It wants to take the lazy route and push ads in my face, then I'm going to make sure they don't get a cent for it. There are plenty of other advertising options that aren't intrusive. I'm pretty sure thats a thing you would pm to someone and not write publicly - or even keep to yourself. Probably not the wisest thing to write. :wink: Anyway its a problem, but tip.its gotta make enough money to keep the servers running and the website up and running. I believe that tip.it (if possible) should select which ad companies promote on their site and forum so that we don't get these annoying ones. :wink: Like I said, Tip.It has plenty of alternatives to make money off of advertising that are non-intrusive. I'd rather sit through 12 full hours of the zwinky advertisements than shut off the program I have blocking every script coming from Tip.It, mainly because the only difference between the two is that the zwinky ads didn't attempt to shove malware onto my system.
