DERP HERP Y U CUT WILLOW *or any log thats not ivy* WHEN UR 99 HERPPP
Last few pages summed up: "umad?" "no, umad?" "no, umad?" "no, umad?" "no, umad?" "no, umad?" "no, umad?" "no, umad?" "no, umad?" Moral of the story: OP should use his ignore list. Obt and Crusty should cut out the middle man and just have really angry sex.

Wilderness and free trade vote! - Now Closed
Out of all my years playing through classic and RS2 I can only remember one time somebody told me to meet them somewhere near the wildy. I started playing in 2002 and was only scammed twice; both times to different guys switching items at the last seconds. In my opinion scamming is perfectly fine, and in a way needed in the game. It makes the game feel more realistic and like you are actually playing with human being. Scammers make the game more risky and merchanting more entertaining. It keeps you on yours toes when trading. I might decide to start playing the game again just for the entertainment of killing people luring traders into the wildy. Plus with the added risk of of being scammed and lured, less idiots will play the game. Free trade will hopefully weed out the kids and make the game as mature as it used to be. I've only been scammed once, but it was a "Let's go into the wilderness and fight dragons but my clan will be waiting for you" scam. I'm not talking about being worried about being scammed, I'm talking about I'd like to be able to sell something on the forums without having every [wagon] who thinks he is capable of scamming spamming me with "lol I buy meet me at Edgeville." I used to sell resources on the forums in 2006/2007, and people telling me to meet them at the Edgeville bridge constituted 80% of my response base. That's why I said that if Jagex bring this stuff back, they need to have a zero tolerance policy on attempted scamming. If you want a game where scamming is okay, go play something like Darkfall or Mortal Online where PvP is everywhere. I don't suggest playing Eve Online, because CCP has taken on a policy where if someone cancels their subscription and cites you specifically as the reason for them quitting, and they find you scammed the person, they will permanently ban you.

I'm not worried about getting scammed, I just used to get pissed off putting something up for sale on the forums that's in high demand and having every request be: "I'll buy, meet me in Edge@bridge." Jagex need a zero tolerance policy on scamming.

You don't "own" your facebook-account either, would be great fun to post stuff under someone else his name! Because you can totally ruin someone's reputation by voting yes with their username. "You're fired." "Why?" "Because I was browsing the Runescape website and noticed your name on the recently voted list. You want the wilderness back? You real world trading n00blet."

Free Trade and Old Wilderness back [21-Dec-2010]
No. Darkfall, Mortal Online, and Eve Online; Eve Online being the front runner with over 300 thousand subscribers carries a far harsher penalty than most other games on the market, especially because you're on your own if you get scammed, and there are no truly safe places in the game to be.

Would you like to see GM driven events in Runescape?
Actually, Mortal Online's epic boss system is quite unique. The bosses appear randomly, and once they're dead they are removed from the game forever, so it's about who gets to them first.

The Rollback Cover-up
Because Jagex pulls a deer-in-headlights whenever they get caught doing something and start rambling like a five year old. "Did you break the vase?" "No...I was in the bathroom." "It has your hand prints on it." "I saw the dog do it. He bumped into the table." "How did you see the dog do it if you were in the bathroom?" "...erp."

Future Update Discussions
And that's when Bilrach gives you his Christmas present, which is the item for this year's event, a santa hat with the examine description "smells a bit like booze." See? It's different than the tradeable santa hat, it has a different description!

40% off in Jagex store
It all makes sense now... I apologize for my hairy arms. Luckily i didn't hold the thing with my feet.

Wow.
Working or 'scaping 24 hours a day non-stop isn't normal. [hide]But on meth it is.[/hide] Looting a corpse on the street isn't normal. But on Runescape it is. Runescape...Not even once.

40% off in Jagex store
I have the Poison Arrow stein. The Jagex logo is actually pretty small when you see it IRL. Take your index finger and go from the tip of the finger to the knuckle. That's about how big (both in length and width) the Jagex logo is.

The Rollback Cover-up
That's actually a great idea. 1. Bot in a game. 2. Wait for Jagex to post your information. 3. Sue the ever loving [cabbage] out of them. 4. Win, because no country's courts would ever side with Jagex irregardless if the EULA said they could do so. 5. Never have to work again when your check comes in the mail.

That's good. I mean, sure he was injured, but that was what? Two years ago? Time to heal up and move on, eat a shark and get on with it.

Would you like to see GM driven events in Runescape?
In Tabula Rasa, the developers held several events where certain encampments were invaded. One the players failed miserably, and the entire base was bombed right off the map (when the servers went down that night and went up the next morning it was a smoldering pile of rubbish). Another bigger base was smashed but not as badly because it was heavily fortified. In The Matrix Online, the developers held many one-time events, the most famous of which was when Morpheus went around town planting data bombs that would kill a lot of people, in an effort to destabilize the matrix. Players were tasked with either defending him or helping him, and in the end Morpheus was assassinated by an unknown entity (starting the next part of the story). Runescape could never handle such a system, because Runescape is static-without-quests, in that the only time something dynamic happens it is in the context of a quest, and even then it's pretty small (a few NPCs replaced, some static objects replaced). The wise old mage attacking the bank, which was seen only through a cutscene, is the closest we'll get to a Cataclysm style event. It's a shame, too. Jagex could do great things with Runescape's rich storyline. Perhaps Jagex should take a note from Warhammer Online, with Public Quest systems. The PQ's themselves don't have a lasting effect on the world, but they're dynamic events that players can take part in. But as for the "you stand to lose more in Runescape," I'll remind you that Mortal Online, Darkfall, and Ultima Online have such events, and you stand to lose much much more in those games when players can actively kill each other, and pickpocket other players. Mortal Online has epic bosses, which appear one time and are gone forever. This isn't one, but it's pretty goddamn scary to see just flying over cities. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72n3GgowH2Q

07-Dec-2010 - Warriors Guild and Dragon Defender
I welcome competition. Given that Runescape is all about amassing stuff, the "you've gathered enough, my turn," train of thought doesn't apply.
-
The Rollback Cover-up
How does it ruin your game experience? Training/gathering areas filled up by bots, effects on the economy due to an artificially inflated abundance of certain goods, disadvantage to gatherers, etc. I think it'd be hilarious to set up an alternate account to bot to 99 fishing, get reset, and walk around with 1 fishing with a skillcape.

With that pissy attitude, don't worry about the ignore list, no one will want to talk to you anyway.

Wow.
There was a cold spot in my chicken pot pie Hot Pocket, my only course of action is to shoot my dog, poop on my neighbor's lawn, and smash the toilet with a hammer, then post about it online. [bleep] hot pockets [bleep] temperature [bleep] crystalization turning water into ice. [bleep] freezers I'm never buying a hot pocket again and putting this as my reason. I mean, otherwise I'll look like a reactionary child, right? You'll be back in a few weeks, once you're no longer grounded because mommy heard you throwing a fit over a video game.
