  1. Make a stupid topic, get a stupid discussion. It's an age old proverb.
  2. I don't think you understand. You see.. They almost all died at different times. Then who was Freminik?
  3. They're believed to be the souls of those who perished in the dungeons.
  4. I wonder how long it takes for Jagex to get the report and then investigate and ban the person. If Jagex's system is still as automated as it used to be, reporting a person for botting may very well induce the system into scanning the person for autoing software, either immediately or delayed.
  5. It is that cart, and you still have to go through all the dialogue to get over it. "It looks as if you can climb across the cart. Would you like to try?" *Click here to continue* "Yes, I am very nimble and agile!" "No, I am happy where I am thanks!" *Click one to continue* "You attempt to climb onto the cart." "You nimbly jump from one side of the cart to the other, and climb down again." *click to continue*
  6. I've had it happen every time I get two levels in one session that it updates only the latest when I log off.
  7. [cabbage]. [cabbage] [cabbage] [cabbage] [cabbage] times a thousand. Jagex does not like true emergent gameplay, because they have always seen such activity as either against the rules or against "the spirit of the game." Emergent gameplay was like fansites to Jagex: They claimed to love it, claimed to support it, but god forbid you mention it in-game your ass is either muted or banned, temporarily if you're lucky.
  8. The gods don't intervene anymore, so the chances of a world gate opening are slim to none. This is why the creatures in Pest Control have to use portals to try to get into Runescape. Sorry, we're a closed gated community now.
  9. I reported a level 133 botter yesterday at Gargoyles, the guy's bot kept trying to attack the gargoyles I was fighting. Checked the highscores today, he isn't listed. Victory for me.
  10. I know how the OP feels. I never stopped playing and I'm still surprised by some of the updates I don't notice (because I don't generally read the patch notes). For example, I had no idea that the Fishing Guild was updated with a new look until a few weeks ago, although it was updated with Fish Flingers back in March. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that Gargoyles now have "smash" options on them, which apparently occurred back in November 2009. I'm also aiming for the fully upgraded slayer helmet, as I was not aware that there was an upgrade after adding the nosepeg+mask, with the targeting system etc.
  11. I do. I always saw the events as evidence of how old your account is.
  12. I don't mind the zombies, they are part of the canon. The cart is just unnecessary.

  14. "It looks as if you can climb across the cart. Would you like to try?" *Click here to continue* "Yes, I am very nimble and agile!" "No, I am happy where I am thanks!" *Click one to continue* "You attempt to climb onto the cart." "You nimbly jump from one side of the cart to the other, and climb down again." *click to continue* Jagex has done a lot to make the game more fluid. You can right click a slayer master and get a task, buy packs of vials and bird meat, among other items, the make-x command was recently upgraded, we've seen certain areas that allow you to simply walk through rather than having to click to open the door, the advisor system has replaced the tutors, Lumbridge has a bank, poison indicator on your health orb, and a whole myriad of other updates to make the game just run smoother. So it annoys me every time I go into Shilo village and I have to go through the three step process to get over the cart. I would like to see Jagex replace the second option with a quick "cross cart" command. This isn't completely because I'm lazy, but partially because it is out of tune with the rest of Runescape in terms of accessibility. It's like going into a building that has all digital locks on the doors where you can swipe your card to get through, but then one room randomly has a regular door that you need a key to get into, but everyone has the key to get into the door and the company refuses to upgrade it to digital lock.
  15. My friend (who i refuse to report on principle), has a bot with an auto responder, not just quickchat. I'm guessing its fairly easy to guess its a bot, but these things are getting more advanced o.O Those can be easily mainipulated. I loved manipulating those. You'd walk into an area with about twenty level 3 bots in it: "Any bots around?" "lol no" "lol no" "lol no" "lol no" "lol no" "lol no" "lol no" "lol no" "lol no" "lol no" "lol no"
  16. Ladies and gentlemen, the Halloween 2011 reward.
  17. Submitted my entry. I must say, it is delightfully naughty.
  18. Turcocalypse Zombocalypse If you giggle at the first name, your mind is far into the gutter.
  19. Only Runescape? Runes of Magic is another example, they had to put massive changes to their diamond (rl currency) system because of people using stolen credit cards. Nexon has had massive issues in the past with credit card fraud, as have Gala-Net and most other cash shop MMOs. Silkroad Online had players defrauding them by paying with Paypal and then reversing the charges. Runescape doesn't have the: 1. Initial investment (box purchase) 2. Resource requirement (multi-boxing is much easier on Runescape) 3. Complexity. Making a bot for Runescape is a lot easier than other games, because Runescape is a simple point and click. Jagex is also slow on the uptake for banning because their report system is so slow, and they want players to believe that they can detect "all bots," which is a lie. I'm not going to say Jagex is innocent in the 2007 updates, because they aren't, and the only reason those updates are good is because they fixed what Jagex screwed up in: Letting the botting problem get so out of control that by 2007 the only recourse was a nuclear option.
  20. That's exactly my point. What bothers me is people who keep complaining that runescape was better before update X, or before they implemented this or that. Without new content, the game dies. Not all new content is good. Example: 2007, removal of the wilderness and free trade. That killed a part of the game y'know? 2007 trade/wilderness updates kept the game from shutting down, not to mention it drove out a lot of less desirable people. It wasn't perfect, but it was good, and Jagex has been improving upon the restrictions.
  21. I don't bless or repair, and I wouldn't expect anything more of the people who come across my grave. You kiddies have it too easy already with five minutes to get back to your grave.
  22. The dog wouldn't be like eek. Eek is more like a ripoff of the zombie head.
  23. Are they sound effects male or female?
  24. I learned a lot about economics from Runescape, which helped me ace a college course, so yes Runescape did help my self esteem. Other than that, I don't really advertise that I play Runescape.
