Fist of Guthix
Well, in theory, it is possible. But in practicality, not quite possible. That's the thing: They take theoretical and use it as practical.

Fist of Guthix
I hated Jagex's smug response for the crappy matchmaking system. "no no, really, a level 50 CAN take on a level 120 and win! You're just not doing it right."

Post and discuss all Jagex Twitter updates here!
It's quite bad it's got to the stage now where a JMod has to update us daily to tell us if the update will be out or not. Now players have started to assume updates will be out first thing Monday morning and if they're not it's obviously a no-update week :wall: Whatever happened to just waiting for the update to come out at some point during the week? :???: [/old man grumble] I am interested to see what new items these treasure trails will bring. Given the rewards from Level 3 clues it suggests there will be some pretty high level stuff and armour probably more valuable than Third Age (should they release armour). It would be nice to see some more God items for Zaros, Seren and the Desert Gods  I always thought Tuesday has been the update day for the past year or two. If an update comes out on Monday it's usually because they skipped two weeks straight.

Why did this never happen Andrew..?

Is there a bit of an advantage to posting in a wrong forum section?
Back when the forums were still needed for selling/buying items without standing in Falador, I used to post a lot of my threads in the Recent Updates forum, because more people would see it. Ultimately, the number of people bumping the thread to say "omg wrong forum noob" would keep it alive long enough to attract a buyer/seller, and by the time a moderator moved it my purpose was complete.

Part of RuneScape seems to be down
That's a VIP world...you wouldn't know anything about it, obv.

Live Developer Q&A
I read a lot of MMO Q&A's, and I have to say Jagex has the most boring sessions.

Live Developer Q&A
I have a question I'm going to ask: "When Tower of Life was released, Jagex mentioned on the forums that the quest was partially to test out a new concept they had designed, where qualities of an item were bound to the item itself, rather than the account of the player. In the forum postings, it was revealed that there were plans to expand this, introducing features such as weapons that grew more powerful as you used them, the ability to trade Barrows armor in a damaged state (as the damage was tied to the item, not the account, currently the reason said armor is untradeable while degraded), and more. It's been three years since Jagex talked about this, and nothing has come of it since, have the plans been scrapped?" I can see a lot of questions in the field of: 1. The digsite quest. 2. Zaros. 3. The mahjarrat ritual 4. Mother Mallum. I can see a lot of the answers in the field of : 1. We can't answer that at this time.

Autocasting
I had this problem while fighting the lady in Love Story, because you pretty much have to switch between range/mage to kill her (I don't own a halberd), so I kept stumbling when she would protect from range and I'd have to switch to a magic spell to cast before she'd switch to mage protect.

Firemaking cape noob?
People should be respected in a game because of how one person treats another person with the respect that a normal person should have when talking to another person. Respect should just be commonplace, and not treating someone like [cabbage] because of something that they did, or didn't do, in a video game. Respect in a video game is where you see someone in Team Fortress 2 who is wielding a community weapon, and knowing that he (and his group of modders) created a weapon/hat good enough that Valve included it as an in-game drop. Respect in a video game is meeting the developer of Alien Swarm, who were hired by Valve to create a full game for the source engine. Respect in a video game is seeing the researchers in World of Warcraft who used the plague incident as a method of simulating how real responses to outbreaks can be formed in real life. Respect in a video game goes to the people in World of Warcraft with the "world's first" achievements. Respect in a video game goes to the first group in Everquest to wake and kill The Sleeper. Respect in a video game goes to the lucky bastard who killed Richard Garriot in Ultima Online. Respect in a video game goes to those who fought with Morpheus to try and nuke The Matrix Online offline in a live event. Respect in a video game goes to the writer of "Biased Banning Raises Brows" Respect in a video game goes to the guy who made public a major hole in NCsoft's account security back in 2006. Respect is given to the guys who discovered a major breach of security and notified the company before any damage could be done. Respect is given to the player who not only offers help, but shows the other person how to be self reliant (introducing them to a wiki, for example). Respect is given to the player who discovers an exploit, but reports it without using it or telling his friends about it. Respect is given to the player who douses flame wars, not ignites them. Respect in a video game is not who clicked or played more than who. Having 99 firemaking may be impressive, people might be impressed by your cape, clicking a few million times to light a whole bunch of logs is not respectable, and neither is the cape. Respectable acts in a video game is not how long you've played the game, but what you did in your time playing. The impact that you had on the game world, the company, and the players who are inside of it. You could become well known for your kindness (The Old Nite), being the best supplier of weapons and armor, or even just a passing guy who people talk to and leave saying "he's a good guy." Respect is not gathered by being a goody-two-shoes, nor by being a knight in shining armor. You don't have an obligation to respect everyone's opinion no matter how ridiculous it is, and frankly you don't have to answer everyone's questions or personally lead them everywhere, but ultimately when people see your username some will say "This is someone I would get to know better if I knew them personally." Here on Tip.It my blunt nature is what gives me the respect of more people than you might think along with the fact that I take the time to truly think through what I'm saying, no matter how unimportant the conversation may feel I always give my best effort in formulating a response, whereas on my website I've managed to get a number of developers (Cryptic, Quest Online, Wizards of the Coast, etc) to offer me comments on articles because although some of my stories portray those same companies in a negative/positive light I personally stay neutral. Outside of my computer, where much of my discussion turns to political (I am pursuing a career in talk radio, I will have my associates this spring), I am applauded for taking a neutral stance and having an objective insight, doing my research and refusing to allow things to pass by because the more favorable party did it. So respectable isn't the word you're looking for, more along the lines of "impressibility," in which case you have to recognize that not everyone is going to be impressed with your accomplishments. Some people are impressed if you can play Coldplay's The Scientist on a piano, whereas other people would be more impressed if you'd play Four Seasons in D Minor. I personally would never shoot down a 99 cape, as I know it's taking my patience long enough to get one 99 (I'm going for 99 fishing). I see accomplishments like 99's as something that isn't respectable, but I would never assault someone verbally based off of what they did in a video game. It's not my place, nor anyone else's (aside maybe your parents if you're a kid) to decide what you do with your spare time, and quite frankly we all have our vices, where at the end of the day playing Runescape for 99's is really no different than spending hours on Farmville, watching television, working on your fantasy sports team, or learning how to bake a delicious cake. Only one of those activities results in delicious cake, however. I have read the whole thread, and I can only say that you obviously care more about what these people say than you would like to admit, because you took the time writing a thread about it. I'm going to give you a piece of advice: Personal victories should stay just that, personal victories. There is a time for video games and a time for "normal life" accomplishments, but when it comes to the accomplishments you make in video-game time, who cares what other people think? You're not different than the guy who spent a year building a 1/1,000th scale replica of the Eiffel Tower in popsicle sticks. To him, it's an accomplishment, to some others it's a waste of time. Ultimately, if your accomplishment isn't with intent to benefit others either directly or indirectly, anyone else's opinion should be worth jack [cabbage]. When it comes to your personal achievements, don't be afraid to be a snob. Don't be afraid to take the [bleep] Cheney approach and tell them to go [bleep] themselves (in a more diplomatic way, obviously).

Dungioneering ruined my pure
Unlike a few people here, I don't take some sort of creepy personal satisfaction when I see a pure ruin his account. That said, you're still an idiot and fit the stereotypical pure-mentality for blaming Jagex for something that is your fault.

EA/Activision Told Jagex To [bleep] Off
Actually, EA did create Lord of Ultima, a recently launched browser based Ultima Evony-Clone.

EA/Activision Told Jagex To [bleep] Off
Free Realms is 100% Sony (San Diego). It started development back in late 2007/early 2008 I believe, was released in 2009, but they invested in Jagex in 2005. It is very possible that the success of Runescape inspired Sony to work on their own browser based MMO. Given how badly Warhammer Online crashed, I'm glad EA kept their hands out of it.

EA/Activision Told Jagex To [bleep] Off
http://gamepolitics.com/2010/07/15/jagex-we-had-self-publish I never knew that Sony invested in Jagex back in 2005, but it's interesting to see how widely rejected the concept of Runescape was merely five years ago, and now the browser based MMO market is shooting up so high that many industry leaders are getting behind the idea, such as Richard Garriot (Ultima Online's creator), Free Realms, Fusion Fall (Cartoon Network MMO), and the millions of Evony clones.

It's called an homage.

An Intelligent Perspective On Botters
First they started botting yews. I did not care because it gave me a cheap 99 fletching/firemaking. Then they started botting green dragons. I did not care because it gave me a cheap 99 prayer/crafting. Then they started botting barrows. I did not care because they gave me cheap barrows equipment/runes. Then they started botting my boss spots, and there was no one around to care because I already made myself out as a selfish [puncture].

Before Jagex increases the level caps to 120 ...
They have a completely new team working on Stellar Dawn. This is the same whining that happened with FunOrb, nothing on Runescape is being delayed because of Stellar Dawn.

Before Jagex increases the level caps to 120 ...
If you remember, Jagex introduced 'dragon plates' in Draynor with Diango which was a way of saying that there wouldn't be dragon platebodies, and also I believe that they said a few times that they weren't going to introduce them, but they did. Who knows if they're going to turn around in a year or six months and say 'oh yeah, all skill caps up to 120'? That was also what, five, six years down the line from when they made that announcement? By the time Dragon Platebodies released, there were a ton of armors that were better than dragon, and their reasoning for changing it was people were asking for the set to be completed, as dragon was no longer the special armor Jagex once wanted it to be. So going by your example, it will be around 2015 by the time Jagex bumps up all the skills to 120. More than enough time to fill in the skill gaps.

Reason for the level caps!
What if the game title was a typo all along, and it was supposed to be "Rune Scrape?" That would explain why we can use a chisel on the tele-tablets in the latest quest.

I just said that but, um, thank you for agreeing with me? It is going to be instanced.

Levelcists
No who rushes sucks at taking it relaxed and slow. Thats like saying its hard to lose a 100 meter sprint. Or if you're really good at a 100 meter sprint, you probably can't walk without breaking your kneecaps inadvertently.

QFC: 198-199-4-61038674 Dev Blog - Beyond the Release Bottom of the first post. You need to learn what instanced means. Instanced means that only you (and possibly your group) can enter it. What that mod confirmed was that the one-off rewards would be in the same place (my level 20 reward dungeon is in the same place as yours) and that they would all include the same rewards (I get 200 coal for my level 20 reward and so do you). Static location = Same location for everyone. Not procedurally generated = everyone gets the same rewards. Instancing didn't come in even once in that post. Seriously, they're going to be one-time rewards. Anyone at Jagex who would decide that non-instancing them is best is an absolute moron who would only serve to piss off the community even more when players entered these non-instanced dungeons, with their "one time" entering, to find that the resources and rewards have already been plucked and that they are invariably screwed with this particular reward.

They are one-off rewards, so you can only get them once. They'll be instanced. Imagine how many people it would piss off if: "You've reached 20 Dungeoneering. You have one time access to the dungeon north of Varrok." *Player enters dungeon* "Sorry [bleep]. All the rune rocks are depleted."
