  1. MDMA is ecstacy. Honestly the worst thing going on in this thread is people are encouraging the use of drugs to a primarily teenage forum. Whatever single way you may look at it, it's never a good thing to get into because of the health risks, the financial element of it, and from personal experience the majority of drug users i have met were complete cretins. There are health risks with every illegal drug because that's most of the reason they are made illegal, weather it be physical or mental health, your financial situation, or just what a complete pillock you are with them. The reason alcohol and tobacco arn't illegal is because of the money the government make from them and that removing them from the public would cause more damage than it would stop. It's not that i'm personally against drugs completely, I know people responsible enough with them, but I also know what they've done to people I know, including one of my old best mates who never got below B's at GCSE dropping out of college and getting fired from numerous jobs etc, all because of weed. It's a complete waste of your life if you're gonna let it do that to you. On the other hand, one of my best mates parents both smoke it (have done since they were younger,) and they're fine. They both have jobs and a nice home, no real harm done - saying that, moderation is probably the key to having drugs fit in with your lifestyle. holylord; if I remember correctly, it's legal to buy it, legal to grow it (not sure about this one,) legal to sell it, legal to smoke it in certain areas, and it's illegal for the police to search you. according to pulp fiction anyway - it's basically one huge contradictory system to essentially legalize the drug, they're just keeping up appearences really. A lot of peoples issues on this forum is that they are either heavily for or against drugs. Preaching to each other about how what you're doing is wrong or right won't get you anywhere, acceptance and compromise will, like Unoalexi.

  3. Tell you what'd be better than sueing them... taking a joke! whey!
  4. I don't think it's entirely that, the reason I personally don't want a religious wedding is simply because i'm not a religious person. Not sure exactely how to explain this - I don't want a religious ceremony because i'm just simply not religious, the idea of being married in the eyes of something I don't believe in just doesn't seem right to me. If it was that important to the girl I was marrying to have a religious wedding, I probably would, as long as I didn't have to swear some sort of eternal alligence to her religion and practice it (aside from to stay married to her forever, which is the standard I guess.) Now I know people are going to argue that if you are to marry into that religion you should practice it, but to be brutally honest if that was the case, I wouldn't go through with it. You've gotta stay true to yourself, and if someone's making you practice a religion you REALLY don't want to, they're obviously not the right person for you. What i'm saying is, i'd have a religious wedding for her sake, but I wouldn't be someone who travels to mecca every year just because of a marriage.
  5. A friend has lent me Warhammer 40,000 and the addons, and i've managed to track down a copy of the original Total Annihilation, so i'm happy for the moment! :) Cheers for your suggestions, i'll check them all out after xmas when I have some money ;)
  6. Most of my close friends are cadets and joining the RAF regiment when they're old enough - it wasn't until they started pointing this out that I began to realise it. In the large majority of war films, and films generally involving the American army and the British, I for one, am sick of seeing heroic American soldiers saving the "helpless" British. This has happened countless times in american cinema, just two examples that i've watched in the last week being 28 Weeks Later and Saving Private Ryan. I want to know why this keeps happening. The British army are NOT complete flanges that couldn't beat their way out of a paper bag like they seem to be portrayed so often in cinema these days. anyone else noticed it? :/
  7. Nothing like my brother whatsoever. hahah. Seriosuly, at all. He was never smart but worked, I was smart but never worked. He went into civil engineering, I went into music (artistic vs intelligence really.) he kept a part time job for 5 years, I kept mine for 3 months. We barely have anything to talk about together. I don't fit in with this family. :)
  8. Wheee! Good stuff :)
  9. I'm not a huge fan of these but I do love playing them when I have them, so can anyone recommend me some decent ones? I'm looking for something really with no size limits on your army, and which is nice and violent really - whilst still being a good game, of course ;) Total Annihilation is my favourite game ever, but i've played it through and campaigns soooo many times... Any recommendations? I don't really mind what era etc it's set in.
  10. Actually i'd rather adopt more than anything. Although you might just think this is a lazy step, theres a lot of people out there who have been born and given a bad life, and I could easily make it better for someone - not to mention skipping all of the nasty pregnancy/childbirth/early stages moments which is a great bonus for me ;) And before anyone says anything, yes I can deal with the fact that it's not carrying my bloodline on - if you ask me, family are who look after you, not who you're related to. Besides, my bro's gonna be doing that ;)
  11. Self defense, you can restrain them and probably kick the crap out of them a bit, but certainly not kill them, and i wouldn't recommend a knife. Try a baseball bat or something and aim for the temple. As long as you phone the police and an ambulance straight away you should be able to get away with self defense.

that's not me mate. hahah. just looking for links to piano acoustics ;)
  13. I want to stay away from a religious debate here a little, and try to keep it about marriage and relationships as a whole. I have suffered some slander in the past because of my views on marriage - I never want to be married. But I don't believe this means I don't want to find my life partner and spend the rest of my life with her (or him? you never know eh. :|) Marriage is, in theory, meant to be the ultimate show of commitment to someone. Now - my girlfriends parents are divorced, her best friends parents are divorced, one of our other friends parents are divorced. Something like 2/3rds of marriages end in divorce, or so I hear. Might have that figure wrong, our RE teacher lied a lot, hahah. Either way, my view is that I don't want to get married. HOWEVER; I do want some sort of commitment ceremony, or something along those lines. I want a ring to be given (engagement or promise, not a marriage ring,) and I want a honeymoon and a reception. More of a celebration of love - I just don't want the marriaot of modern marriages go wrong, that once you're married, they're yours and that's that and you give up trying. I don't personally want that security, I want me and my life partner to have to work for it to keep together. Marriage, in the modern word IMO, is overrated and taken for granted... your views? :)

Yup, but got back again. What i'm wondering is what makes you think it's too late to get her back. Might might wearing your heart on your sleeve and risking a lot, but where theres a will, there's a way. Me and the missus have had huge rows in the year + 9 months we've been together, told each other we dont want to do this anymore, and yet weve always came to our senses.
  15. StrifeII although i only play offline atm, might get into TF2 soon
  16. we had a day when we decided that everything we could pick up would instantaneously become, a wig. and you had to wear it. yeah, sounds simple and boring but hilarity ensued
  17. On the contrary, photos like that are usually pretty much something to look up to in england. yeah, all we really have to do is drink so, yknow...
  18. Just bought The Orange Box and i'm liking it. I've completed portal before, but so far HL2 is awesome, if a little repetitive at times. The police chase at the start was amazing, and it's still a decent game (i'm currently entering nova prospekt) but I hope it gets a bit more interesting soon. Also recently started playing Age of Mythology, although I don't like it that much, a little too slow paced and the combat is really unintense.
  19. The hilarious side effects of alcohol...sorry for the bad quality ;)
  20. Just a couple of things, both already owned recently and will own soon... and eventually
  21. Bah skindred will show bullet up sooo much. Considering the crowd that will be there, they probably won't. I've seen skindred live twice, once supporting Reel Big Fish and once headlining, and they are AWESOME live, but my honest guess is that a large part of the audience won't really care for "raggapunkmetal" ;D
  22. Gotta be the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
  23. They're better when you just watch them play IMO, try looking for some youtube bids of them doing acoustic sessions. Yeah I like 'em, pretty funny.
  24. Sadly, I don't donate to much except shoving my loose change into collection tins. I would like to, but getting by isn't always easy for me anyway, so i'm often left with little choice. I get talked to by a lot of charity workers in the street who always want details, and it annoys me. I give my old clothes away to barnandos (sp?), I give money to tin collectors - what I really dislike is feeling like I can't walk through the street without being hassled for personal info, it puts me off giving to charity a lot. that said I probably give about ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã3 a week to charities, mostly air ambulance/local community charities cause they're the ones who collect through tins!
  25. Guns, knives, groups...whatever happened to kicking the crap out of someone eh?
