  1. Actually saw Gladiators live when I was younger, it was so epic. hahah. Never watched American Gladiators as I think it's different to the UK version. Do remember wolf however...what a legend! We made a poster to take with us when we saw it live of a wolf being chased by 3 pigs, hahah. Good stuff. Actually wanted to call my hamster Jet aswell, she was well fit. Bring it back! It's awesome!
  2. Hahah, my honest and simple viewpoint; The typical view of God, no. I don't believe in divine power and anything really religious, although the existence of god and religion are two very different things, remember. I don't believe a "god" exists and is answering prayers, watching people marry and welcoming stevie wonder into heaven. However; A grand creator, yes. Someone must've created this crap, even by accident.
  3. Just for the record, the church doesn't forbid homosexuals from marrying; the church forbids homosexuals from marrying each other. Any gay man can marry any woman he wants, just like any straight man is forbidden to marry any other man. It's not a question of gay rights, it's a question of the definition of marriage. Yeah, God must have intended people to conduct nuclear warfare too because he didn't stop the Americans from dropping one on Japan. In a way i'm torn on this. Part of me thinks that gay people shouldn't be allowed to get married because marriage is a christian thing and they forbid gay marriage. It's a bit like not letting under 18's in pubs, you can moan about it all you like but when it comes down to it they run the pub and if you don't fit the critera you're not allowed in. On the other hand though, marriage isn't exactely a purely christian thing these days, a large number of people get married with no intention of really joining the christian faith properly, it's just a bit of a standard, same way we all celebrate christmas but a lot of us don't really give a crap about anything religious tied to it. As with the bomb thing, my point is, he didn't stop them, so if you ask me, evidentally wasn't his business. If god didn't intend anything nuclear, he wouldn't have put the materials on the earth for it to be possible. You've really got to look at it differently, nuclear bombs arn't really much to do with belief in god at all, but marriage is, seeing as it takes place in a church and is a religious ceremony, nothing religious really took place as the US bombed the crap out of the Japs, its just something people did. Anyway, this is very much my personal viewpoint and it's bound to start an arguement hahah.
  4. That sucks IGoddessI, but it really sounds like it was for the best. If after 4 years he can't talk to you about how he feels then there's something drastically wrong, you're right in saying communication is the key and whilst you might not find a bloke who wears his heart on his sleeve, you can at least find someone willing to talk about their problems at least to the point where you know what they are so they can fix them. It's bound to hurt now and that's totally natural, but you'll meet someone later in life who really suits you and is everything you want. Admitting it is hard, no denying that, but this is the first step to real happiness, not the kind where you're secretly disappointed but have built too much of a life to say anything. Lying is something you should never tolerate. Said it before and i'll say it again, honesty and trust is the key. It's hard now but you can't beat yourself up about it, you deserve to find the one, not a second best. We're here for you with friendly advice or if you just fancy a cheer up chat, and i'm sure you've got friends and family who are too :)
  5. So they've basically created a system where they accept homosexuals as long as they don't have sex and don't get married? hmm. hahah. Sounds like an Indian saying you can be Indian too but you're not allowed to look at Diwali. Very grey-areaish. Civil Partnerships for the win!

    Your worst day

Probably my girlfriends 17th. I can't really go into it cause it's real personal, but i've never heard her cry the way she did. Probably one of the things I feel guilty about the most in my life :(
  7. People might laugh at this but I always get teary eyed at the episode of the simpsons where homer quits his job for a dream job at the bowling alley and gets it back because maggie's born, then covers up the demotivational plaque they give him with photographs of her so it says "Do it for her." Really happy-teary kinda thing :)
  8. I don't think we're referring to christianity as a whole, sounds more like catholics to me. Their theory, pretty much, is if you're gay, you're a sinner and banished from the religion. Which I don't understand, because there are a lot worse things than someone who likes doing it with blokes instead of women. If god really didn't intend people to be gay, he'd surely put some almighty holy barrier up every time gays have sex, or just make it impossible in the first place - but nope, you can do it.
  9. You're telling me hormones don't rule your sexuality? Wait, what? This is news to me; please explain :-s . I'm as puzzled as you are at this one. The answer should be interesting. for the record. I've got nothing against gay people as long as they arent GAY! Really though, from what i've seen, my school must be the most homophobic place on the face of the earth. I cant imagine it being any worse. Someone once said that everything you do, ever, when it comes down to it, is just an attempt to impress the opposite sex. They're probably right. Thus, if hormones rule our sexuality, they must rule our lives.
  10. I got a great one this year - an earring. My ear got infected around November and I had to take it out and havn't had it repierced since (as it was a cartilidge piercing you can't redo it yourself.) Thus, it's about as good as buying a comb for someone with no hair. Will get it repierced one day soon though hahah. The girlfriend got a good one too - a ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã15 ASDA voucher. Hahah, i'll go do me weekly shopping with my xmas present. I've since bought it off her and am using it to buy my lunch at college.
  11. Its your own insecuritys that are making u feel like that... like you said she Drank and Talked to her ex-boyfriend!! So what i talk to my ex's all the time it makes no difference because it would never go further than that. I know my girlfriend and i love her dearly. Fair enough she lied about it being a girls night out but apart from that she has done nothing wrong u should forgive and forget because trust me the best times you spend together and the times actually spent apart... for example going to a party and not even saying a word to each other all night because you know she is coming home with you and that ull have her all to your self then... A relationship is NOTHING without trust... OT: I got mad when my girlfriend tried to fry chicken and cheese together :s and called it chicken in cheese sauce i meen wtf is that!! \ apart from that we get on really well all the time ^^ -Levi Not every relationship is the same chief. Yes I realize my feelings come from my insecurities, but that doesn't change my principles and belief system. Regardless of how messed up my emotions make my head is not an excuse to disregard situations that bother me. @ your party comment: I don't want a part-time girlfriend. Full-time for me. And anyone in a relationship realizes trust is everything. But not the only thing. If you don't share common principles your relationship has a greater chance of not lasting. It's not insecurity. His girlfriend lied about being at an ex-boyfriends house to him. Every good relationship is built on trust when it comes down to it, absolute fact; if you can't share every secret you have with a long term partner and tell them anything then something's wrong. I talk to my ex's too and I have no problem with my girlfriend talking to hers, i'm even friends with a couple of them and actually met them through her, but one of the worst things you can do it lie about seeing an ex, honestly. If you're lying to them about where you are, then what are you hiding?
  12. Heights, which is extremely bad. I can't lean on the bar at the shopping center in Birmingham because I get really bad vertigo even just a story high, and I start breathing heavy/losing balance/fearing for my life and get really badly paranoid, visions of bar breaking and me falling, honestly can't stand it. Think it's down to vivid falling dreams as a kid. Other than that, claustrophobia, but only a little. I used to have a huge fear of dogs because my older brother nearly had his throat ripped out by one when we were younger, the dog attacked him and lunged for his neck so I wasn't able to stand them, not even yorkies or anything. Eventually I got over it for the most part, but I still don't trust them much hahah.

    Half Life 2

(thought this would be better than bumping up the orange box topic so i can actually get opinions on this..) I really enjoyed this game at the beginning, but i'm wondering, was anyone else finding the combat and tasks a little repetitive, along with a lack of big bosses generally? Only ones I can remember are chopper fights, striders and the bug bosses. and the ending absolutely shoddy? [hide]Getting the hardcore gravity gun at the end was ace and a great element, really got me hooked, but why was the ending so crap? It was good to see the story unfold but what's a game without a real last boss battle?[/hide] Please note i''m yet to play EP1 and EP2, i'm not sure if they follow on or what? Opinions? :s[/hide]
  14. Wizbit - My Immortal (i'm aware this is a rip off, but it's amazin. legal full mp3 too!) http://www.whojamaflip.net/audio/Wizbit ... inal%20Mix).mp3 Also loving My Last Mistake lately, very quaint/beautiful acoustic stuff http://www.myspace.com/mylastmistakeuk
  15. That would probably be running a lap of my block with me privates out.
  16. Very disappointed. Trailer led me to believe this was going to be very 28 days later-esque. Thoroughly enjoyed the first part of the movie, but halfway through it just took a dive into trying far too hard to be yet another hollywood horror when it could have done itself great justice staying in its own league. Will Smith was great, played the part with great emotion. Shame it turned into a shoot 'em up rather than sticking to its strengths. CGI monsters looked incredibly crap too. Incredibly crap. Looked like they were totally covered in varnish. Fail. Go back, try again.
  17. I'm just gonna wait before jumping to any theories, it could be pretty much anything. All we know is what the monster looks like (well, I do now anyway) and that it's attacking NYC. Looks great, I suppose they are very much going back to basics with a good old city destroying monster mashup, but it's great that although the storyline is edging on corny, it's pulling it off very well and very originally. I think that this is what we're lacking in cinema these days. Everything's either a remake/comic book rip off or just a crap idea in the first place, what i'm wondering is who said it's wrong to use simple, tried and tested ideas and just pull them off really well? Reakon this will definately be a hit this year and a great start to 2008 cinema. Bring it on!
  18. Depends. On a hungry day, 6 or so. On a less hungry day, 3 or 4. If i'm wasted and have that inhuman stomach thing, like 12. hahah.
  19. There arn't many for me... The Ataris - so long, Astoria My Last Mistake - EP Lost Prophets - Start Something Saosin - Saosin Fightstar - Grand Unification Thats about it really. I'm sure most people are just listing their favourite albums again, but that's the list I can listen to without skipping songs.
  20. If you are so damn stupid that you go to test Mortal Kombat moves, hockey stick hits or gun shooting at streets just because of a video game, you got some problems with your brains. A person like that would most likely have a tendency to violent behaviour even with games like RS or Gran Turismo only. Yeah exactely, you can't blame video games for causing things like this, you blame the idiots who are thick enough to think it's alright to powerbomb a child and for nothing bad to happen.
  21. Love it. Don't take this too harshly anyone, but my personal opinion is that all religions are pointless anyway, so the PC thing doesn't bother me. JUST A PERSONAL OPINION THOUGH AND NOT PREACHING THIS VIEW TO OTHERS! Don't start quoting me and stuff :P Family guy is great yeah, though season 6 lacked a little I felt, aswell as the movie. Definately one of the best, when something can rival The Simpsons and Futurama you know it's good. Lacks in storyline a lot, and the ideas are maybe a little tired, but it's not really about that anyway, just the jokes! *strokes season 1-6 box sets*
  22. none? :s my internets gone down loads before and never got anything.
  23. Gonna buy tickets for Sum 41 in a couple of days 8-)
  24. I like 'em, mostly because they're just a bit strange, hahah. Can't say I follow them but what i've heard is good :)
  25. http://www.thegooddrugsguide.com/ecstasy/index.htm I consider MDMA to be risky simply because of the circumstances it's used in. The majority of people who die from MDMA do so because either their parents find out they've been taking it and make them drink more water than they're meant to (or make them throw up, which isn't good when you're using it either) or because they are complete pillocks. It's another one of those situations where people will blame anything but themselves, and a little education goes a LONG way. I know some people who take E and they're fine because they know what they're doing and enjoy the drug responsibly.
