  1. Actually you can still smoke at 16 because they havn't changed that law - you just have to be 18 to buy them. I don't know how much more cretinous the British government can get but, hey, i'm sure they'll amaze us again soon.
  2. Did one of these before but mine's very different - this still counts by the way. Just cos it's not a typical band doesn't mean it couldn't exist (and kick huge amounts of rear.) Percussion - The Panacea Strings - Hybrid Sound System writing, Russian Federal Orchestra performing. Bass - Cube::Hard Filthy guitars - Killswitch Engage Rhythm and Lead Guitarists Lead lines - Andreas Schmidt, Ace Da Brain/Pervading Call/Aces Delight Vocals 1 - Jared Leto, 30 Seconds To Mars Vocals 2 - Leah Newcombe, My Last Mistake Vocals 3 - Anders Frid̮̩̉̉n, In Flames Vocals 3 - Cove Reber, Saosin Now tell me that wouldn't be one hell of a live show!
  3. I can't remember figures but I've read before that gays have a higher percentage of HIV/AIDS carriers than straight people. It's just discriminatory that they're not letting gays donate full stop however, absolutely stupid to segregate them like that because it's just stopping any chance of equality. Now I can see their point that there is a higher chance of the blood possessing HIV/AIDS. What I don't see is why they're stopping them donating blood however, cause it still exists in straight people. Either way, if they're that picky about it I don't see why they can't make people get tested before they give blood, and even wait a few months after and make them re-test to make sure everything's okay. I'm sure people in the gay community are happy to donate blood just like some straight people are, and stopping a large community from doing it altogether doesn't make much sense.
  4. People bang on about how much better facebook is than myspace, but when I tried it all I was getting were werewolf requests and car racing requests and stuff! Just wanted to keep in contact with mates not be flooded with loads of rubbish! Myspace is better for the reason that there's less useless rubbish on there. Although the servers are cretinous at the best of time and it's unstable, it's better than facebook anyday. I have a music account and recently started using it full time instead, but before that my profile song was This Providence - My Beautiful Rescue. Awesome song.
  5. Just been looking through my photos from the past year and got me thinking, what were your best 2007 memories? Have talked to necro about this topic and he says it's fine to have it as a kind of RL pics topic as long as there's discussion and whatnot, and not just another post sexy pics topic :) TRY AND LIMIT IT TO 4 OR 5 PHOTOS UNLESS YOU CAN'T REALLY HELP IT, AND KEEP THEM IN HIDE TAGS - JUST MAKES THE TOPIC EASIER FOR US ALL! - 56K WARNING :) [hide] 18th birthday, in the limo - i'm on the right. didn't have time to dress up on account of having to do the missus' hair for her >.< but either way we had a proper laugh! booked out a function room at a curry house and got to have own music all night, awesome dinner, bar service etc. fantastic! Went to an 18th birthday party - friend of a friend - and it turned out to be absolutely boring, so we decided to drink until it was fun. Walking home over the park was hilarious, because in this pic my mate decided to try and jump the gate without his legs touching it - on account of the gate being soaking wet, he ended up on the floor. hahah, amazin. Meeting Kris Roe from The Ataris at Bham Academy 2. Always had a huge amount of admiration for this guy so it was awesome to get to talk to him. First pics of mine and the missus' mice, Freckles (left, doesn't actually have any freckles) and Captain Crackers (right, isn't actually a captain.) Layout of the missus' 17th birthday party that we did before she got there. Was a great night :)[/hide]
  6. If it was to crash now, i'd cope easily. We got on fine without it, and if anything I guess i'd just have a better social life. would be a pain to post stuff all the time though.
  7. But with blue and black markings etc, and black fats. these for slightly smarter occasions (ie when I don't want to tramp around) and some even smarter trainers for even smarter occasions. mostly black w/ white laces and white toes.
  8. We're watching jeepers creepers 2 at the mo and cant decide if the demon thing has to eat to regenerate or whatever - theres something about a feast definately. This aside it made me wonder about another film, essentially all I can remember is it's about some sort of monster type thing that killls people and uses their body parts to make himself. Pretty sure it's a horror from the 90s or something. Anyway, any clues would be great. cheers!
  9. Get enough sleep. Don't cram info either, find other ways to learn it - talk about it, explain it to people who don't know, make up crap jokes to do with it, relate the material to something you know inside out. Most exams are just about remembering facts (except for some English exams) and if you can find a way that works best for you to remember it, do that. I didn't ever revise by reading, just by chatting to friends about it and watching TV programs on it, and I passed everything I cared about! (failed Food Tech, may I add that the teacher was an absolute cretin and couldn't teach to save her life, RE because of another cretinous teacher, and French, both a combo of hating the subject and not understanding why I was forced to do it for 5 years and still not able to speak a word, and another cretinous teacher.)

    Socom

Socom online was great but I never bought a sequel. No real reason why, possibly cause Socom 1 was enough! Didn't enjoy the single player, bit hard for me *cough* But multiplayer was amazing!
  11. I don't have a clue to be honest. PC games never really "grab" me like they used to, I used to game for hours on end but now i'm lucky to fit an hour in cause I just get bored! I would have to agree with Rollercoaster Tycoon being one of the best ever made though, the first one more than anything. It's great, it drags you in and doesn't let you go! Duke Nukem is definately up there too, aswell as Zool. If I had to come to a definate decision, it'd be Total Annihilation. Man, what a game, I still play it 10 years on from when I bought it!
  12. Hahah, this place has become a total hormone zone ever since RL pics were introduced! (yes i'm aware IGodessI is a girl, but that doesn't make it any less true on earlier pages  )
  13. Wow! Trailer looks absolutely awesome for this. The guys who made ghostbusters have asked Sierra (Half Life Series/World In Conflict/Spyro Series/Crash Bandicoot Series/Leisure Suit Larry  ) to develop a new Ghostbusters game. Sierra don't let us down much so hopefully this is gonna be good! http://youtube.com/watch?v=FLi9_uPg1Tk&feature=related It looks very much faithful to the movies and they've even got the original characters from the movies to voice the game characters! Hopefully this will be a great game and not repetitive and a load of cheesey gimmick battles using ghosts from the movies. The StayPuft Marshmellow man battle looks awesome however! whatcha think?
  14. Havn't seen it but i'm thinking of going to, apparently it's really good!
  15. Try updating it through 3do's website, might fix the problem. I'm also quite sure it's called Heroes of Might and Magic V on account that V is the roman numeral for 5, not IV. :|

    Concerts

First ever: B*Witched, hahah. I was 9! Notable: Reel Big Fish, Skindred, Ataris, Maroon 5, Dashboard Confessional, probably some others I can't remember. Been to loads of local gigs too. Mostly crap tho. :D
  17. Will check it out on Dave, looks sweet!
  18. The argument you made was: If God didn't want us to do things Then he would make them impossible for us to do. You know that isn't true. So I guess the Egyptians discovery of Pi or geometry or the Greeks discovering trigonometry is outdated since they are 2000 years old? I mean times are changing man... Black and white rules don't change. People change. Does that mean the people are always right in the way that they change? No. Oh my god, please stop with the completely unrelated subjects! Pi and Geometry are SCIENCE AND MATH, not RELIGION. Science and math are always set in stone because it's just hard facts, my point is that religion can be changed to fit into modern society and it is, hence why gay marriage is legal in some places and not in others. Religion is about belief, science and math are about pure fact, please stop putting words in my mouth and bringing up subjects that have absolutely nothing to do with the subject at hand! Now honestly, is it so hard to understand? :/ [/hide] (Sorry if mentioned before) But the bible is old. Times change and so do beliefs..The bible is nothing but a guideline to the way we should live in the catholic eye...But you cant just say everything it says is right. Gay marriage is right. It doesn't matter its still love and that is what marriage is about. Precisely - religion isn't set in stone, especially these days, because it's based upon belief, not fact. Gay marriage being right is your personal view, and whilst it's not the catholic one, that doesn't mean it's definately not a christian one.
  19. You shouldn't throw that away. I've been in hospital from alcohol before but I don't really regret it as such because it taught me not to be a pillock with it. Life's about learning your right and wrongs and if you gave that up, you wouldn't know to be sensible with it now :)
  20. I'm liking RTS games lately - Total Annihilation, Dawn of War and Age of Mythology :) Also playing through Orange Box atm.

  22. The simple answer is, I don't know. I don't like to meddle with the past cause if you spend too long thinking about the past or future you're bound to forget about the present. But on the other hand, probably yeah. Maybe if I did i'd have a decent job right now. Spend more time with my nan before she died aswell, make some more effort.
  23. Well, after new years, my body clock is currently absolutely rubbish. It's 11:30am now and I was meant to leave for college 10 minutes ago but there's no way I can make it in on time now. The worst part is i've missed 2 presentations today, and it's because I couldn't get to sleep until about 4:30-5am last night. I don't know why I can't sleep at night, I keep trying to fix my body clock but it doesn't seem to be having any effect because I keep getting up late and thus, missing college because of it. Does anyone have any advice for trying to sort myself out a bit? Cheers!
  24. According to that I guess murdering someone is ok since it is possible for someone to commit that act. That is a weak argument. You lot seem to be making such wild accusations. You're on human morality here, not religious morality. I never at any point said that anything was okay, I said if god was really that against homosexuality then he'd have made it impossible. What you're actually doing is blowing my statement wide open by using it in another completely unrelated context to prove me wrong. Murder has nothing to do with gay marriage, and besides, "thou shalt not kill" is one of the ten commandments, hence, god personally said don't do it. "thou shalt not be a homosexual" wasn't one. My arguement's not weak at all, the reason that gay marriage is such a grey area in christianity is because people can bend the rules a little when it comes to it to fit in with modern day standards. You have to remember the bible's over 2000 years old (well, debatable,) and that times change. You're bound to find a lot more churches that accept gay marriage than accept murder because, as I said, it's a grey area in todays modern age.
