  1. Because it's NOT sooo amazing, Paw, and Slayer actually is. Fletching can be gained in a matter of a week with slowed training...Slayer takes anywhere from 500-600 hours depending on if you cannon or use piety. That's the equivalent of spending 2 months, 10 hours a day non-stop, training slayer. Or about 20 full 24-hour days total. I don't think it's the best 99, but it's clearly one of the longest to achieve, and that you can't deny. It's factual.
  2. Or they could make additional spells that benefit both the attacker and the attackee- for example, spells that can do a maximum of 50 damage but half of that is taken from yourself, or spells that cost 10 prayer/defence and do a maximum of 40 damage. But as it is, jagex must find a way to make affordable and powerful(or just accurate) maging an option for boss monsters- combat isn't only pvp. A very small percentage of combat is pvp, actually, which is what I think a lot of the people forget about it. They think that just because something is "off" in the pvp setting that it's off in the monster setting as well. I don't pvp so really I don't care which of the three is underpowered. I use them all in different situations that call specifically for them.
  3. Lol...that player mod conversation is absolute win.
  4. Surly using them on a gilded alter in your POH will give more than 280 xp per ur getting for them bones? :-k ...maybe #-o But I don't have a gilded alter! And it would be hard to use some1 else's in a pvp world No...you get 252 exp per bone on a gilded altar with both incense burners lit. You get 288 per bone when burying with prayer brawlers in the wilderness...and it's faster exp an hour.
  5. Correct. Not correct. What happens is each "common rare," has its percentage of drop lowered and each "rare rare," will rise slightly. However, you will still mostly like have more of a chance to recieve a common rare over a rare rare, but not as much as it used to be. So like the video explained, before the wealth, I had a 65% chance of rune limbs and 2% chance of a visage off iron dragons. With the wealth I now have a 55% chance of rune libms and 4% chance of a visage. So really, I will still most likely get rune limbs, but there's more of a CHANCE to recieve the visage than before. This is the reason people say the ring of wealth doesn't work. They think it garantees them better drops. What it does is increases the chances slightly to recieve better drops IF they even land on the rare space on the common drops wheel in the first place. So rares will always be rare. This just makes them very fractionally less rare.
  6. Well...each of those cyllinders has two faces: the flat ends on each side of the shape. XD
  7. Ok...so some people have asked a while back for me to post my bank, but for the reason of the fact that all of my money ALWAYS goes into skilling, I usually never have more than 15-20m in bank worth. However, lately, I've been wanting to save up cash, for whatever reason. This is very unlike me. I've invested over 500M now into my skills instead of buying expensive armors, but now I feel like I want to save up something. So literally a week ago I started money-making. I had about 19M in bank worth. A week later, after various whip drops, fishing, farming snapdragons and thieving seeds, I stand at this: So I've made 27M in one week. I would say this is not very shabby at all. Especially since I've only been able to play maybe 1-2 hours a day. Right now I'm saving that cash pile up to buy a Dragonfire Shield. I think it will not only be a good investment but it will also look absolutely amazing with my full dragon, slayer cape and updated whip.
  8. Again? Since when was mage EVER overpowered? since ancients, if you ever learnt how to use them properly mmhm....when ancients first came out we didnt have furies or super powerfull c bows...o dont think fremmy rings either......ancients were powerfull..(was it before the whip? i dont really remember) u could freeze someon for 30seconds and hit a 30 -.-..blood barrage would sap their health and add a portion to your own..smoke would poison them and of course shadow lowerds there attack (thus stacking)......i dont thin many people used shadow........but blood and ice was common ....smokes poison is nice but the added runes imo were a waster unlees u brought tllies anyways...since then weve gotten god swords dragon claws..cross bow update.......EVERY CLASS has gotten new weapon upgrades or armours expet mages..../there still the only class thats max is a 30 and yes THEY "can" be powerfull still...but u dont have the ko option other classes do all mages really got is farcasting....and well rangers got that as well (just not as far..ancients can go really far >.<) so in short c bow update made range a god skill...... godswords helped balance melle back out to the rangers mad hits ..expensive swords though >.< d claws overe powered melle spec and k0 options...kinda cheap but w\e and d bow really cant stand up to the claws and well mage has yet to recive anything new armour or weapon wise (Steam staf doesnt count -.-) back OT: the ranging amulet is truly not that big of an upgrade..but +5 atk bonus iis a respectable amount....i mean hell we all paid 1m+ for warrior rings adn thats only +4.... Infinity, Master Wand, Mages Book, Zuriel's Staff, Zuriel's Armor, Miasmic Spells added to ancients, Arcane Spirit Shield, Wolpertinger's magic based attack + ability to up your magic level by +7, etc etc. These are all just a few of the major updates magic has gotten. And magic is very overpowered if you know how to use it right. It can even rip apart a ranger or another mage if used the right way.
  9. All of this happened in a 2 hour time span: In total I made 6.2m off the whips and zamorak page alone, not including the other 250k in other abyssal demon drops. Also, yesterday I made 2.5m off a level 3 clue from abyssal demons and then 2m off an Amulet of Ranging I got from Aquanites. So for two days of monster killing I have made an extra 11M. 5.5M per day. I would say not bad for very casual playing. Not bad at all. lol. I think I am going to save up for a Dragonfire Shield to finish off my outfit. Full dragon + new whip + sayer cape + DFS = win.
  10. Qft. I see why you did it, but you did kinda ask for the tantrum. Man I wish there was like a huge Cpu that determined if you were an [wagon] on the net...then it shoved you on somekind of assnet, with all the other [wagon], to be kept from the normal net. Whats qft? :? If I were to venture a guess: Quite f-ing true. EDIT: I stand corrected. It's "Quoted for truth." Personally, I like mine better.
  11. Well Dragon Chainbodies dropping from Dust Devils were only "rumors" for the first 6 months or so until it eventually became a drop more and more people experienced...then we started to believe it. It could be true, but for now we'll say it's safe to say that it doesn't drop it until enough reliable tip it posters have experienced the drop first.
  12. I've always wondered, with each melee stat at level "126," what combat level would Deja Vu Xiii be? Like 170?
  13. It's not glitched. That's how it's supposed to be. The swishing sound is you spinning the whip behind you and then you flick it forward to whip your enemy. The sound is very accurate, and the animation doesn't look broken at all. It actually looks quite amazing and very poweful, which is what the whip's attack SHOULD look like. The new whip is flawless and just should not be changed. I'm already used to the new whip's sound and animation and even look to the point where I feel I've had it all along. lol.
  14. I know there's a thread for this but I thought this was a paticularly good clue. :) All sold for a total of 2,515,000 gp. Got off killing Abyssal Demons, btw. Didn't get a whip, but this made up for it. lol.
  15. Two thumbs up for this.
  16. What are you guys talking about? And why I my thread? lol.
  17. No...no it does not. +15 Ranged Attack and +10 Magic defense. I don't know if you can count, but son, that to me says that it strengthens rangers against mages. lol.
  18. Epic Update. Whips were already rising before this and now they will definitely continue. Maybe it's time for me to really go Abyssal Demon slaying. If they get back up to 3m+ there's some serious opportunity involved.
  19. he got banned because of the way he got the money for 99 prayer, as I'm sure you can imagine. another 15cmb 99prayer was skiller 703, but he's maxed cmb now You guys are forgetting Soul In Pain and Eternal Dad, too. Personally my favorite level 3 is Soul In Pain. Removed spam from the quote ~ jimmy_jim
  20. yes i think so, and Slayerbell, Lorica and Ellebreyals are all side account for his maxed main villandra. :P he got some other but i dont remember the acc name. Villandra is female.
  21. Ahaha I loved that bit :twss: The was the only enjoyable part of the movie. Maybe for you. The entire theatre I was in was laughing the whole way through. All the jokes and humor were executed wonderfully. You probably just went into it with a bad attitude like a lot of the people, considering your only argument was about the plot points, like most of the crazed complainers...which in the end aren't crucial at all. The story is still being told in the films and that is what matters. Just because you think something is important to the plot doesn't make it important to the plot. What makes something important is "Will we be able to tell and finish the story without this?" If you answer no to that question then it is important. If not, it's not necessary and can be dumped, whether the crazed fans like it or not. If the people who pointlessly defend the books to the grave had their way, each movie would be 10 hours long and most audiences would hate them. Books are different than films, as I've said a million times already, and changes HAVE to be made when making the transition from one to the other. A great portion of the things people have said they wanted kept in just would not have worked if done exactly the way they were in the book. Remember, films are adaptations, not carbon copies, of books. Novel? I don't really care that much about rather or not it followed the book, but all in all it was a slow movie. It was by far the worst one out of all the Harry Potters... And everyone in the theater that i was in laughed at moments too, taken in the fact that half the audience was dressed up as harry potter or hermione, a fourth were part of my high school chess team, and the rest were the people i was with. I admit i did chuckle at times, but it still was BY FAR the worst out of the HArry Potter films. But see, that is just your own personal opinion. I don't mind that you feel that way, but the problem is people always state things like facts when really they are opinions. Myself and many people I know, included, believe this to be the best film out of the 6 by far, but that is our opinion. And every audience is going to be different with different background and different tastes. I know this first hand being a stage actor. Live shows with audiences are even tougher. Different people react differently. Just because someone isn't laughing their face off doesn't mean they don't find something amazingly halarious. Maybe it just means they show their amusement in different ways. Either way, the theatre I was in was a mix bag. People I know who are athetes, I had some friends from my old high school who I was in theatre with saw it. There were parents, children, teenagers, elderly people...and within all this diversity, there was an immense amount of laughter from a great majority of the theatre. People seemed to appreciate the jokes and the comedy of the film, myself included. If you didn't, then I guess you just didn't and that is ok. Just don't make such large statements like "This is the worst harry potter film by far." Say it more like, "In my opinion, this was the worst of the movies." Because the way you feel about something doesn't make it universally what the movie is or isn't to everyone. There are some facts though, and those are all technical aspects about what drives a movie and what key points are needed to successfully tell the intended story, and if something is following those guidelines, then it has some face value. Oh, I was also just on Mugglenet. This is David Yates' answer to being asked about having to please millions of fans: "Its a very difficult juggling act but you just do your very best to make the film as in-the-moment as possible and you have to make certain choices, which are difficult at times, which just make that adaptation fit more into that cinematic experience in the theater." So, you see, David Yates is doing his job as a director. Making a film, as even he agrees, is much different than writing a novel. Things have to be changed and adapted to be able to work in a theatrical setting, and just because Harry Potter is so near and dear to our hearts, it does not change this fact. I also hope you know I'm not attacking you, I'm just trying to throw some points out there. I think opinions are great and we all should have them, but in order to have them you first should try to look at things from as many angles as possible.
