  1. Well they said it's still under development a few months ago... And the reason I said "real" was because they hyped up the 150th as a goblin quest so much, that I doubt they released The Chosen Commander as the 150th quest just because the "real" wasn't done yet... I mean, after they saw how disappointed the players were about the 150th quest, they surprisingly tell us the "real" 150th quest is still under development, and after a few months everyone has forgot about it,and they can bury the whole subject without anyone remembering the "real" one they promised... #-o Oh, ok. I get what you were saying now. Yeah, you're totally right, too. It could very well be that the goblin quest WAS the real 150th but since the majority (I'm not saying everyone, note my words) of the players weren't impressed with it or it's rewards Jagex decided that they'd tell us that there really was supposed to be a bigger, better quest in its place in order to calm us down. Either way, no matter what really happened, it's pretty disappointing on Jagex's part and the updates have become so scarce (with sometimes only 2 real updates in 1 month's time) and lame that I literally have given up all expectations on getting good ones and just stick to the existing game. If a good update comes along, I get excited and am, to say the leasy, shocked.
  2. Am I the only one who see's a suspicious pattern here? I'm starting to believe that zaros is an alternate version of guthix, ment to restore balance and stability throughout gelinor. When guthix falls asleep, zaros enters gelinor and builds his empire which, to my knowledge, never made war against their fellow man.As zaros is removed from power, the void created by it caused unbalance that was the god wars. After guthix ended the godwars and went back to sleep with his edicts in place, lucien stole two ancient artifacts that could potentially give him the powers of the gods while possibly remaining a majarrat, excluding him from guthix's edicts and granting him the power to take over gelinor. Perhaps, while guthix sleeps, azzandra and others loyal to zaros can bring him back, saving gelinor from lucien. Guthix sure has the worst sense of timing to go to sleep. Don't hate. He needs his beauty-sleep! On topic: Nothing. lol.
  3. CAH BAH GEEEE! Reality: Ok, now I'm just spamming. lol. In all seriousness, though, if I may hold my fist in front of my mouth and lightly clear my throat, I really do hope we get an update to GWD soon that involves a new boss because some new high leveled armor and weapons, and a new challenging boss is kind of what Runescape needs right now to take some of the pressure off of Jagex's bad updates for a while.
  4. Welcome to Riskfreescape, or as I like to call it, "Nothingexcitinghappensunlessyoupurposelyputyourselfindangerscape."
  5. While this is true, the amount of fatal glitches and the number of times updates have had to be "taken back and revamped," is enormous this year.
  6. While I would like to be able to open that damn frozen door, I don't think Zaros' champion is behind it.
  7. Well thats too bad you didn't like it.Does this make it a failed update? No. I did like it.Does this make it worth the hype and everything else you mentioned? No. P.S:I'm still waiting for that "real" 150th quest you promised us... As am I. Don't quote it like it's not real. There was a topic made about it when the quest came out where Jagex mentioned that they had planned for a larger quest the size of a grandmaster for the release of the 150th but decided to not release it then.
  8. Not just 99, people with less. I've been getting 6.5 abverage since the dawn of farming with magic secateurs.
  9. He doesn't macro. There's no possibility. But he does use mousekeys, shown in at least 1 video at Z.M.I. alter. I hope I'm not banned for alching with mousekeys... [hide=]:ohnoes:[/hide] Pretty much all my videos use mousekeys. And I'm not quite sure how I can be macro'ing, talking to friends at the same time, and be away while the macro does it for me. :| I just hope they see the mistake they made and take off the ban and marks. I don't want my second account banned. I believe you, and I hope you get the account back soon. I think it's really crappy of Jagex to ban somebody who not only wasn't macroing, but also who just spent like a bazillion hours grinding away at getting 99 Runecrafting. I mean, not like they planned it or even noticed, but it's just bad timing, isn't it?
  10. Audiences who don't read the books and don't obsess over the movies will definitely not notice it. But I think that's how it is in every "book made into a film," deal...they put in things that only fans will recognize in order to make them happy. See, the trick is, how do you make a harry potter film that will be a great film but also keep the fans from not exploding their guts all over it? It's really hard and basically impossible when it comes to the diehard fanfreaks that want 10 hour long movies for a 500 page book, but putting in subtle hints at things like Lupin and Tonks is a way to do it. If Lupin and Tonks were completely absent from the movie it would have just given crazed fans one more reason to yell up a storm, even though we ALL know it's not an important detail of book 6 at all.
  11. I have planted 30 Snapdragon seeds in the past 24 hours and not a single one of them has died. Bad luck only. Edit- Tremblake, just leave your vile comments about Farming out of this. You already did this in the "Farming" thread and thus far not a single solitary person agrees with you. The average is 6.5 freaking herbs per seed. You, as we have already discussed, haven't done enough herb runs to even know this, so your "5 herbs is the average," talk is just that...talk. Doesn't retain any water.
  12. Now THAT is true. In a directorial sense it should have either been left out, or made a greater deal of. But really, just left out. It was pointless to have it in, but to be entirely honest with you, i think they hinted at it because otherwise the fans that go crazy with their "Lupin/Tonks ships" would grab the pitchforks. lol.
  13. The only reasons people say slayer is because 1. They have been morphed into slayerbots because thats how level 100+ players think the game should be played, so they listen.. 2. They actually think "If you're going to train, you may as well train 3 skills at once. Not just 2. Since you will one day say 'I need such and such slayer level!" heh. 3. It's just the smartest way to train. Says who? To me smartest is the fastest xp possible. Slayer is slow combat xp.. you can maximize your xp/hr by picking one monster and sticking to it (such as Azs)... I can't say that I care too much about my slayer lvl, or the stupid point system after Smoking Kills... there's no incentive for me to train slayer personally. It can be good however if you are bored of training at one place. But in the long run, you'll actually waste MORE time if you train slayer seperately than the other combat skills. If you train them in one go, together, not only will you be getting 99 in slayer only a little while after getting 99 hp, but you'll also make millions of gp along the way. I've made 250M off the slayer skill. That is a crapload of cash for just getting one 99. Also, the "other" methods of training melee are really only marginally faster, maybe by about 15%, and don't usually yeild much profit, or at least no where near as much profit as slayer. If you hate Slayer, that's fine, but you really can't deny the facts of what is the most exp and gp efficient way to go about training combat. Oh, and did I also mention from 1-99 Slayer you will also getting enough charms for about level 101 Summoning? Reason number 10 million to training slayer over camping somewhere.
  14. The RSOF is a forum full of trolls, 10 year olds, and other uneducated twits who can't comprehend that the development cycle does not revolve around them, and will call for a riot and boycott if Jagex so much as clips a toenail in a fashion they don't like. The Runescape community, at least the vocal minority, do not know what they want, they will continue to contradict themselves, and they will always look for a reason to whine. *Small update* OMG JAGEX UPDAET TO SMALL! *big update* OMG JAGAX I CANT DO DIS, 2 BIIGGGGG *small quest* OMG AJDSFJ WAEST OF TIEM, POINTKLESS QEST! *big quest* QWTF JAFGAX I DUN WANNA HAFTA DO BIG QUEST, U SUX! There is no pleasing the RSOF, because there's no pleasing a massive group of angsty preteen crybabies who literally look for any reason at all that they can complain and look like internet badasses. I don't know if you've actually noticed, but while the majority of the RSOF are these people you speak of, there's still a great amount of legitimate players who know what they really want that use those forums and still are very very unhappy. And almost with every update since Mod MMG came people here on tip it have noted that the updates seem to be going downhill. These upgrades we are getting are sometimes nice, but more often than not it's just a bunch of patch updates disguised at real updates, which were were getting before Mod MMG came in ADDITION to the real updates. They're slacking and/or they've dug themselves such deep holes that now they're running around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to fix them, only to find out that they're making it worse. Really, Omali, just think about it for a second. How many updates has Jagex come out with this year that didn't need retracting, taken offline for a bit or revamped? Bounty Hunter got taken down to release the bounty hunter worlds, which created even more of the 26king problem and still had a lot of people complaining about things like being able to teleport and fatal glitches. Then they released statues which only brought the economy into a chaotic spiral. Their solution to this was to get rid of protect item prayer on pvp and bounty worlds and to make it so you are permanently skulled. A few days later they "rectified," this by adding +1 bounty worlds. Now all we're left with is worlds where you basically have to pj or be pj'd. Moblising Armies. The day of release, people lost millions due to a glitch, including one guy who lost his cashpile of 350M. Also, the seige, hoard and rescue games were glitched beyond immediate repair so much that they had to take them offline for days. How the HELL does the bug team miss something so huge, especially after they had delayed the release of the game not once, but twice in the past year's time? Furthermore, the waiting room was bugged so it would take about 45 minutes for some people to get 1 game in. This was "fixed," but it still took about 10 minutes to get into one game. Their solution to this was to have it so the game takes out more players for games at a time, only now, I am STILL waiting the same time I was to get into a game, because rooms are never filled up so much that you can just get in and go. The maximum waiting time should be 2-5 minutes, not 10. Then there's the summoning tab being taken, which they have said is not coming back. So they took a tab that was very useful to us all and now we're left with having to constant left-click right-click the summoning icon, then search through about 7 different options to find the one we want. If you aren't already used to this and you take a BoB to, say, Bandos and need that food, one wrong click could mean losing millions. Jagex knows that we want something similar to the tab back, which is why they are coming up with something new, but here we are again: They are having to rectify their mistakes. Oh, and remember the 150th quest? You know, the one that was supposed to be some huge grandmaster-sized quest that they couldn't release at the time (or hadn't been working on hard enough) so they ended a plotline and gave us a ridiculously small quest (which out of all almost 160 quests I've done is probably towards the bottom for most fun) just to give us a 150th quest? They actually HYPED that quest up. They made a "limited edition" hoodie with a big 150 on it! (And then they released more of it later. Talk about limited edition, huh?) They revamped the front page for the quest too, which stayed there for months and months. Either way, they hyped it, and it was a big letdown for a lot of us. I could go on, but we've all been here. We've all seen what we've been given. The only real things people can say they've been really happy with (as a majority of the RS community, not just a select few) are the rest and run updates, the agility course updates and some of the little tidbits here and there they've spruced up.

  16. True, but in the grand scheme of the things Tonks and Lupin being together really isn't that important. =-/
  17. This could only be me but I think the warrior has Vesta and the mage has Zuriel. Concept art > the things that come to RS. I think it's you since concept art will always slightly resemble the real deal, while this warrior and mage don't look like they're wearing either of those two armor sets at all, especially the mage.
  18. You'd be surprised how clever they really are ;) If they're so clever they should make an update that isn't either really lame or doesn't send the runescape economy or engine into a downward spiral. lol. If they were stupid then they'd give into the RSOF and stupid demanding players that think they know better than the actual makers of the game. We'd have failin--- I mean sailing as a skill. The old wildy and trade limits removed - both meaning that RWT is rampant and that Jagex has to shut down because of the millions of pounds they have to fork out to pay to credit card companies because of all the fraud. About the only few major decisions they made for the better. I used to be on your side about 6 months ago when I gave Jagex the benefit of the doubt, and here I am 6 months later still very unimpressed with the year's updates so far. If this is the update year then let's update some old skills that need reworking or maybe upgrade existing minigames instead of bringing out new ones that have major glitches and cause people to lose hundreds of millions of gp upon the day of release. Hell, give us a new skill. It's been over a year and a half, and while there's not a rule that says we need one every year, waiting 2 years to release a new skill is just way too long. People with maxed combat are like, "What the hell do we do now? Complete some minor achievements like get 4,000 chompy kills? Get 200,000,000 exp in 5+ skills? Sure!" I'm just saying, there's been a lack of communication between Jagex and some of it's more advanced players. They're not listening to the people who realistically run this game. They give us the content and we breathe life into it, essentially. Without us there's no use for the new content, and so in return they should try to deliver content that really we can be happy with. You can try to ignore it, but the fact is that there are hundreds of threads made daily on the RSOF (and lots here on tip it as well) about how Jagex is blundering left and right with almost every update. It's not that people are being greedy, it's that it's seriously been a long time since we've had an update that truly the majority of runescape can either fall in love with or at least admire from a distance. We got the new agility courses (or should I say, extended old ones) and we got the rest feature...but other than these, I haven't seen too many successes. It's either a hit or miss, and while I don't expect Jagex to hit everytime, I expect a lot less misses than we've been given.
  19. Ok, ok...so I lied. Here's the deal. I sold all my Red Chinchompas because they have reached a peak and I wanted to sell at max so I could buy back later when they go down a lot in order to save a few mill. So in this time, I have invested about 16,000,000 gp into merchanting (won't say what for my own sake) and I bought 100 Snapdragon and 80 Marigold Seeds. I will plant all of those seeds and in between harvests I will raise Fishing by fishing for monks. Today I managed 5 herb runs (25 Snap and 20 Marigold Seeds) and this is my total spoils for the day: So technically speaking, with supercompost and teleport runes included, each snapdragon seed cost me 52,000 gp. Knowing this, the total amount of profit I made today between farming and fishing was around 1,900,000 gp give or take about 100,000. Not too bad. :) (Oh and if you've noticed, yes, I had very nice herb runs. Average was 8.08 Snapdragon herbs per seed.)
  20. I think you're under the drunken illusion that slayer masters only assign metal dragons. Slayer can actually fetch you up to 80k melee exp in one stat (i'm not even lumping both, say, attack and hp into the 80k factor, I mean 80k attack exp an hour) per hour. And especially once you hit 83 and 85 the money will come in so fast you will wonder why you didn't get the level sooner, and also by that time you'll already have quite a nice cash and charm pile. If you really can't be bothered with training (effectively) then go with armored zombies. Personally I think it's a waste of time unless you want a zombie challenge scroll.
  21. You'd be surprised how clever they really are ;) If they're so clever they should make an update that isn't either really lame or doesn't send the runescape economy or engine into a downward spiral. lol.
  22. Clever. I don't think Jagex is smart enough to have been thinking this all along though. Though, it would be cool if they would follow this train of wizard of oz references. I'd like to see a quest with a man behind a curtain or a witch with flying monkies. =-p
  23. This is very old. Either way, I still think the magical staff the mage is holding is what the new slayer monster will drop. If you compare the concept art of the monster to the staff, they are similar in not only color, but also the shape of the tip and the way the tip glows are the same as on the head of the monster. This is just me hoping of course. I want a new staff for magic.
