Here is the thing, if I wanted a break from skilling, then I would just log off. I am logged on at that time for the specific reason to skill. If I wanted an interruption, I would log out and do something else. The sole reason that I am skilling at that time is because I want to skill not get warped to Scaperune. I say death to them all, even though I don't mind the maze or the classroom too much.

Umm...I started taking on blues under the Ogre enclave because I couldn't stop being attacked by dds' while hunting green dragons. That was well over a year ago. In fact, that was a place many people complained about having too many Pkers.

Absolutely leave it. It isn't worth the risk. Believe me 1 million is not that hard to accomplish. Now 35-50 million may be another thing altogether. But I would still leave it. Having the capability to play is worth much more that 1 million gp.

Well, since you just started today. I wouldn't worry about immediate equipment. I would concentrate on build a few skills to make money. Collecting some type of raw material is helpful. I don't know for sure but maybe collecting snape grass or pure essence mining may be the way to go. This would allow you some more money for some slightly better equipment. Also, unfortunately some of the equipment mentioned above isn't a possiblity quite yet. You need higher stats and some quests fulfilled before getting the rune defender or either dragon sword. Just focus on collecting some cash and then use slayer as you indicated to build your combat stats a little higher. The big question is...are you going to have multiple months of members or just one? If just one, then gather as much cash as possible. Gaining the extra equipment will do you know good in a f2p world.

I thought that maybe someone would mention the high failure and not doing the quest. If you want the "easier" experience in the wilderness, then go ther at the risk of attack. If you want a "safer" course, then do the quest and go to the ape atoll. All of you seem to have a higher agility than me, yet that is where I train. Do I fail sometimes? Yes, but I don't have to worry about dying.

He responded to a weak, spammy post with flaming; responding to immaturity with immaturity. Somewhat like when two five-year-olds stick their toughes out at eachother. Plus, I highly doubt that if the guy would've agreed with him, he would've flamed him like that. and Are both irrelevant, spammy replies, yes? I always thought they broke the utter monotony of grinding nicely.. I was having a little bit of fun nothing more. He spammed with that post, so I responded sarcasticly. If you read the post, I semi-agreed with the person who mentioned that bigger, better rewards would be okay. I am willing to see both sides, however, "no we can't" isn't really a side. You see it as immaturity; I see it as a simple way to poke fun and maybe influence to state a more thorough opinion.

In a nut shell, summoning is coming in January and Pking pures are extremely upset.

Cooking and hunting are two different things. You don't compete with others for cooking. You probably bought lobsters, therefore you had a full supply. Unfortunately comparing cooking to hunting, is like comparing the Barbarian Course with the mining guild.

To avoid any true trace back to me, you are going to have to supply your own scope.

Umm, i doubt JaGex is that crazy to release the KBD to summoning... Think about this before you post... You'll have the KBD on your side, killing chickens...i mean, seriously... Think please. he said black dragons NOT king black dragons so why dont you think before you post :roll: ps: kbd r nub ot: while its highly unlikely that it would be droped by the black dragon maybe a green or blue i dont see any reason why not Doubtful. Given how many people fight dragons everyday, someone would've gotten one by now. And you can see dragon eggs all over the place, they're not two-toned black and white, they're grayish blue. Who says Jagex has released all of the eggs? Maybe those eggs that we see will become harvestable (hunter skill?) once summoning becomes available?

+1, my favorite part in Hamlet is when he becomes suicidal after getting banned from the Runescape forums. Wow, I nearly choked on my tofu. I didn't know that Hamlet played Runescape. I bet that he is at least level 122 and has a blue party hat.

if not thousands i've met my fair share of immature players i could label under 13 but i have no way of knowing. (Eg: using prayer to defend yourself in castle wars from 5 players, all over 100cb, beating you into the ground is now considered "pathetic noob") now imo i find that calling me pathetic is pathetic. im using tactics, you know, the intelegence tha allows you to survive an onslaught or temp' delay your death. -.- on topic: i think an IQ test might not be so well. if your Australian and you've watched "Are you smarter then a 5th grader?" you'll see what i mean. : even regis and tony hawk werent smarter then a 5th grader then how r we smarter... besides I only know half of those answers You have a great point because Regis and Tony are true scholars. What kind of academic contribution have either of them made? I don't think that an IQ test is proper. I just think that children under 13 are cheating. They should be punished. Jagex's next enemy to thwart should be all of the youngsters. Truly with the latest updates. I think jagex is much like tobacco companies. They say that they have warnings for the youngsters, but in truth they want and need the new consumers.

It wouldn't be nearly as big of an inconvenience if the rewards were actually rewards. 20gp is not worth stopping and talking to anyone. I agree 20k or something desirable would make it less menacing but only slightly.

Is is probably my biggest problem with GE, maybe my only problem. I used to make good cash from herblore training it honestly. I would camp at chaos druids and then make the potions. Now, it is more profitable to just sell the herb. I am so thankful that I spent all that time to build up a skill just to make less money.

+1 MOD EDIT: Please try to post something more than +1, as it is considered spam. I have to listen to Hannah Montana nearly everyday (I have a four year old daughter). It isn't that bad. Calling someone a name like that for their musical preference is just not nice. What music do you listen to? I am sure that I would probably not like it. Does that make you the same thing in my eyes? Seriously, come on.

Good it needs to be censored. I think that once I read that someone thought they should create an uncensored theme world. I think this would help some of you. I personally would not go to it, but I think it could actually be a resolution. I am just not knowledgeable enough to know whether not the programming for it would be feasible.

Okay, now that Jagex has dealt the final (??) blow to bots and real world traders. I think it is time to get rid of randoms. It is absolutely irritating to be in the middle of some good training and up pops the sandwich lady. I hate her. I am not hungry. If I was, I would eat one of the hundreds of lobsters that I am catching. I have seen Man vs. Wild. Most fish can be eaten raw. I don't need a stinking uncut sapphire from the pirate while I am huntin chinchompas. I have little use for the 20 gp the mysterious old man is giving me while I am alching yew longs. All I wanted to do was teleport to Varrock to put something on the Grand exchange. I didn't ask to be stuck in the teleporting tunnel or whatever it is called and have to click the right lever to leave. Scaperune is the cruelest joke that Jagex has ever told. I don't care if Bob is sleeping and is hungry. I admit that uncooking a fish was funny the first time, but the 1,000,000th time is getting a little old. I have all of the camouflage, the mime clothes, and the lederhosen (sp). I don't need to do push ups (I did enough of those while I was a Marine). If Jagex is trying to clean up this game, then why not reduce the occurence of these randoms? I get a random almost everytime that I am teleporting to a new location. I have seen the mysterious old man more times than I have seen the episode of Seinfeld where there is a superman reference. Down with randoms, they are annoying and unrewarding.

Economically speaking, I don't see how this was a good deal for Jagex. They were getting some cash for Real World Traders who were members. Their free to play areas were populated with tons of bots, that probably didn't have ad blockers. Jagex was profiting from the cheaters. I truly believe that Jagex was doing this to improve the game perhaps to get the game more mainstream? Maybe they are cleaning it up to make it more presentable? Why else would a company risk losing the cash from cheaters and honest players who did not like the update? I think perhaps they are going to start advertising this game stronger and make a move to a bigger audience. It is just my guess.

Congratulations. Now that was funny. I still believe that Jagex will try to make the new version of player killing enjoyable for all of those pures and player killers who are out there. I personally don't care either way. I still risk being attacked when I go to the wilderness. Real world traders were only indirectly affecting me. I didn't participate in player killing or trading for real money so I don't really care about this update. I like the idea of clan wars. It was too often that mini wars or full wars ended up with one clan severely "cheating" to win the battle. I think that bounty hunter will be adjusted because right now (as far as I have heard) it is worse than the regular wilderness ever was. I do not think that eliminating skills would be an ideal or even feasible alternative to take out the cheaters. If they got rid of non combat skills, it would eliminate some of the RPG element. I just don't think it would have been as good business sense as the elimination of the wilderness. I just wished they would introduce something up there to make me want to go there. I only go up there for clues and that is about it.

I haven't gone to the other fansites, but RSOF is awful. It is filled with spam. I for one agree with the majority of this rant. This is a rant isn't it? I mean it is better than the "I got told to shut up" rant. Anyways, I have been reading this forum for almost 3 years, and I still enjoy it. Anytime you have a forum for a game played by a bunch of youngsters (and most of you are youngsters, I am 29) then you are going to have your share of spam and sillyness. It took me forever, to figure out what +1 meant. I try not to abbreviate too much. I take pride in my ability to type out WORDS.

I plan on doing red chins from 63 to 99. I know that it may not be the fastest but it will be more profitable. Several friends say that salamanders are the fastest though.
