TRUE L0VE?
This falls under the category of the last post I responded too. Noone knows for sure, but I think its safe to say there is no such thing as love until you are mature enough to even understand it, high school teeny bopper relationships ARE NOT love. "The last post you responded to"? Meaning... So, maybe you're saying that kirbybeam's relationship with this girl falls under......what category exactly? The category where they "find something more" than just lust? It sounds like you're admitting that kirbybeam has indeed transcended media-hyped lust. Maybe you're admitting that there is such a thing as love? And if things were ALOT different in times past, are you saying that there was love once? Doesn't that mean it must still be possible? I'm not sure what you're trying to say. You seem to be arguin that lust is most common, but then you imply that you can transcend that base feeling. Isn't that the same as love? So you admit that love exists? That's kind of what everyone else was saying, too. Lust is powerful, true love supercedes lust. ...Or maybe I've completely misunderstood you :? Please explain.

Messing with Telemarketers
That's awesome.... My trick with telelmarketers is just to assume that the person talking is a recording. "How do I know this is not a recorded message?"

I created a bot
I tried arguing philosophy with him, but it didn't work out to well... Once we got on to the topic of the botmaster, things quickly got very interesting...

FUNNIER VIDEO!
I'd like to be able to say "oh that had to be staged," but it actually sounded real  I dunno, maybe Im not in a good mood or something, but I found that more sad than funny. Kid's got serious issues :?

Music in games - important?
It's just like movies. An excellent soundtrack can make or break a movie, and the effect of any scene depends absolutely on the music. I'm sure its the same for computer games. Although with computer games, no music at all can also work, especially instead of some awful music that totally ruins the game.

I created a bot
So he doesn't work at all anymore, or he just needs educating?

I created a bot

Your Personal Ghost Stories
Agreed. "Oh meh gawd I saw a fuzzy stuff and a dark shadow at like 2:00 a.m and i was like eeep!". Such BS  . I kind of agree with you, but it's still fun to speculate about. No need to kill the thread  Unfortunately, the closest I ever get to ghosts is when I have really weird deja vu. I'll feel like I'm remembering entire conversations, word for word, as they happen

I created a bot
I didn't save the whole conversation, it wasn't anything special anyway, but this part cracked me up: and  EDIT: Okay, here's a pretty good one: :P

Thought I would introduce myself...
Haha I remember woman. I had fun with that one  . The one who posted the "I hate everybody" thread, right? Or am I thinking of someone else...

Thought I would introduce myself...
Welcome to the community :) And I think there was a thread for introducing yourself, but it got locked. So maybe you're not doing anything wrong yet. They'll get you for something though, they always do  There are other rs forums online (outside of the site's members forums) but this is the only one that has a decent number of reasonable people on it. Hope you stay.

Hurry up Santa! :'(

sports
We might just have exceptional reading skills but I got it the first time too. Typing like that is still just plain lazy though. Maybe lazy, or maybe it's a second language and harder than we all expected  ...Although I guess punctuation is kind of universal in the western world, so that might not be a great argument... Anyway. Zibl, I agree that Football is probably a game of more intense contact than soccer, but it is worth pointing out that a friend of mine (varsity hockey player, so he knows about contact) played soccer with me for the first time this last fall, and he said soccer is much tougher than you might expect. Actually, his biggest complaint was that we wouldn't let him wear sweatpants over his shorts for the game when it was snowing out, but still....He recognized that soccer players get into some good contact. Probably not like football, but it does have some really hard extreme physical contact. And it is different when you don't wear pads. Like you, I'm not ragging on football here. Just wanted to point that out.

do you actually know what a period is? I had to read this 3 times before I had some idea what you were trying to say. And if people are getting off topic, its because no one knows what you said origionally. Anyway, I like watching soccer (Or real football if you will :P ) I got it the first time, don't know what you're problem was, bro  And to everyone else, it is possible to make a little effort, read his first post once through, and understand exactly what he's talking about. But I can't say I'm that into sports, sorry marz :? I play soccer and basketball, but I don't really watch or follow sports. The most I do is read the paper to see how the Celtics or the Red Sox did. I don't really care for the Patriots.

I just won a mountain bike!
See if you can get a bike lock with that seventh ticket. Congratulations anyway. I have a Schwinn (good bike, nothin fancy) that has taken me faithfully over many a mountain. I've put the thing through the mill, and it still works.

MTV's True Life: I'm a proffesional gamer
Didn't see the episode, but on the topic of jigglypuff: probably being really good at a character that not many people use is an advantage because opponents aren't used to playing against your style. Then again, these are professionals. I guess they've seen it all :? I'm a Captain Falcon man myself

I was just thinking.....
That's easy, the first part is true, the last part is false ;) That's what my junior high math teacher said when I showed it to her Wait a second, if the second part is false, then the first part can't be true... :?

Banned xbox commercial
As clarified on page one, this commerical was not banned. That was a rumor that started when Microsoft leaked the commercial and then decided not to air it because they thought it might be controversial. It was there own decision to not release the video on public television. ^^That's a pretty clever move for Microsoft, if you think about it. They've decided that it's just a little too suggestive for a regular TV audience, so they don't put it up. However, they leak on the internet. Not only do people spread it around for them at no charge, but it also targets exactly the group of people that will buy xbox. And the rumor that it was banned makes it even more effective. It's better advertising for free

Banned xbox commercial
Our video game lobby hasn't grown up yet, while our gun lobby has lived on well past the time it should have died, thus the imbalance  I can see why they made the decision to ban this video. I can certainly picture some little soccer mom getting outraged because it teaches kids to play war games. I just think it's funny, but there is always some stupid person who has to get offended, and Microsoft doesn't want to risk even a tiny amount of negative publicity or lawsuit. Welcome to America, Land of Liability and the Lawsuit. :( Pretty hilarious ad, anyway. Thanks for posting :)

MTV.com: When The Other Woman's An Xbox: Gaming Gripes Go On
what if youve been going out with that girl for a while, she knows you like to play games, and you are right about to beat the game after playing it for the past month? she could wait 5 minutes for you to finish it, wouldnt hurt her any. but if shes like the people in this article, she would get pissed you didnt stop it for her. No, the people in this article only get pissed after it happens over and over again. What you're talking about is one single instance. That's a good point, though. In that case, I would make her wait 5 minutes. Although I would still pause for a few seconds (if the game had that option). True. I definitely aree with you there.
