  1. per Jagex these times vary and have nothing to do with the type of log etc. If you find a trend more power to you, but I think if you do a fire line you will notice that they do not turn to ash in order but are random.
  2. Lol I checked this back when the post was new, but couldn't remember the result. So dragontotem checked it in game for me, and our guide is correct. Guess Jagex makes mistakes sometimes, lol. Locking.
  3. Eeep. I'm betting that thread vanished with the forum reset? >.< If someone's energetic, I urge you to search google for a cache of it ... hate to lose whatever we had!
  4. As much as I'd like to add this data to the guide, reports on monkfish with gauntlets have varied from 88 to 90. I guess there are just too few people who get this high and have time to notice, lol. From what I understand about sharks, people still burn them at 99. I've heard that you burn none when using the cape to boost to 100, but I've not received enough solid data on that either. I'll leave this thread open for a bit, and if we can get responses from some people who actually have the levels (not "from a friend"), we can look at adding info to the guide.
  5. Yes, we are aware that the Safari browser is incompatible with our calculator and planner displays. We had a thread on this, but it was lost when the forums got reset. Sorry to report that I do not believe a solution was found.
  6. This was checked and the rocks in southWEST varrock mine are clay, there are no copper. Southeast mine has copper.
  7. Crewbies and researchers went through google to find stickies and save as much data as possible. So hopefully your submitted items pictures have been preserved - we will need to figure out a way to repost them (or just get them uploaded, lol!) If there's something you posted recently and it's not already included in the latest website guide versions (such as the new revised slayer guide), please do feel free to post again so we can be sure to update the site with your information. Thanks to all of our contributors and regular posters for hanging in there with us.
  8. As stated on a front page post a day or two ago, you can try to google your blog (use the forum topic id) and see if you can recover it. If it includes pictures, save it as an html page to get the pics downloaded to your computer as well. I spent the weekend in mIRC, warming my hands over the chat fire with other diehard Tip.It-ers, lol. I'm glad everyone has pulled together over this. And frankly, my greatest happiness is that the website is intact, lol!
  9. I'd *love* a quickie snapshot of this dialog, either Pikkupstix telling you to go there, or what you actually see when you go there. Thanks everyone who posted - obviously we missed something by bringing bones with us, lol.
  10. I found some monsters drop alot more of a certain kind. ... Since what players want to know is not what monster drops what we should have a frequency system to show how often you can explain a drop Gold charm (++) or something :anxious: +1, I hate the work it entails for the Crew but I have to agree. People are gonna want to know if they will get 93 gold charms, 3 red, 3 green and 1 blue as opposed to 0 gold, 50 red, 50 green, 0 blue. I have no idea how this will really play out in practicality (actual distributions of drops) ... I suggest using something that can be search/replaced (so a variable symbol like # isn't ideal).
  11. need more data. will leave this topic open in case other players can contribute their info.
  12. Please post any corrections for the quest guide http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=183. Thanks.
  13. The larger xp values were added to the guide, someone just forgot to lock this topic. For the drop lists, the guide author was trying to avoid specifying numbers of things and deliberately just listed them as plurals instead. Thanks, though.
  14. Thanks very much, the text has been updated on the map pages.
  15. I can confirm the head thing, we changed the quest guide awhile back after getting many submissions about it. However, the pic above is not the normal size from the game - it evidently has been enlarged or something because it would never be that big (Jagex items fit within 30x34 pixels). If someone can supply a pic we'd love to get this added.
  16. lordkafei - thank you SO MUCH for doing a bunch of these monsters and logging your loot each time you got a drop (how many times of 100 it dropped the item) ... that's EXACTLY the kind of research data I look for!! Our Bestiary Crew is working on getting pictures of these monsters and will hopefully be posting them shortly along with the good drop info posted here. Thanks to everyone contributing!
  17. The pic you posted is perfect - I've added it to the guide. I could swear that when composing this guide a crewbie attempted to do a reduced filesize pic, but it came out noticeably fuzzy/blurry on the lettering. Don't recall who it was. But again, this one you've just done is great - thanks so much!! zxzxzxzx99, that pic has the right things showing in it - the market and the house. It would need to say "Ardougne" and have the quest area (the mansion front garden where the vine plot is) circled or something ... Jard - thanks for providing info. I didn't say it had to be a GIF ... just said the GIF that I made was too big. Like I said, I have no idea how that reducing colours thing works ... I think it is done in PNG files but I couldn't say for sure. *waves hands* As for the php thing you said ... it's right over my head, lol. Will have to leave for someone knowledgeable to respond.
  18. this information was just added to the quest guide and the mini game guide this weekend. However, thanks for the reminder. ;)
  19. 1. yes like the world map, only a small section of it to show the area, nothing big. 2. this requires software like Photoshop. The former crewbie who used to do this would take a file and "optimize" the colors in the picture to reduce the FILE SIZE ... so instead of being 100Kb (which is what a GIF of a full game screen is), it becomes 30Kb *WITHOUT* losing any picture quality. It's very tricky and I wouldn't begin to know how it is actually done. It simply cannot be done in MS Paint. ;)
  20. fixed, thanks SO much for the proof pic (which requires effort to get). and thanks to Bac_Talan for pointing it out.
  21. oh, your intention just dawned on me. Because I put the Jade Vine mini-game text in a "hide" blue box, it's unlikely that anything would appear below it to "push" it up on the page. The pics I'd like to have for this quest would be a shot of Ardy showing the Market square and the mansion, and one of Karamja showing the location of the vine maze with respect to nature altar and shilo village. But getting those pics reduced to a small enough size for the website it another story entirely. I do not own the software to do this, and I can't find anyone who has both the software and the ability and the willingness to do it. :(
  22. added one note in the quest about GWD (diff between choosing), and one in the Tips section for re-obtaining pendant. this was a good idea, thanks!
  23. Yep. And it's making her look as though she is dead, right? I'm not saying it's correct, it's been way too long for me. It's just plausible, lol. A pic would definitely straighten out the debate! :)
  24. Sorry we didn't respond sooner, but as you can imagine RL also comes into it. ;) Oddly enough, I'd just tested out the Dorgesh-Kaan agility course with the intention of explaining it better, since the guide info is quite unclear. As you've stated, you can go 1 side there and back, the other side there and back, or go round the course in either direction. However, the bonuses only apply if you get the generator part. Obviously any sane person would do that, but ... heh heh. The info arrangement you've posted looks good, so we will try to get that edited in as time permits. Please be patient - not many people use this course and there are many other urgent concerns right now (treasure trails in the wilderness is one example.) Thanks for posting to help us improve the guides and calculators, it's very much appreciated!
  25. I'm always happy to include pictures that aid players in finding something or doing something ... but we try to avoid pics just for the sake of decoration. The one pic in this guide shows a vine to swing on (and the pic is horribly large at 100K cos I couldn't find anyone with software to reduce the file without turning it into oatmeal. :() Please always feel free to post pictures (originals that you've taken yourself, never from another fansite or the Jagex Manual) and suggest that we add them. We'll be delighted to use helpful pictures and credit you.
