  1. Erm. I'm quite uncomfortable with links that go to another website. Since manoman really loves it, and he has written the definitive AOW guide, please get together with him and exchange data. If he can use it he will give you proper credit. Since he's now a crewbie it's possible that he may be editing our official website guide one of these days ... ;) Locking for now, please PM manoman or me if there's a problem. Thanks for putting the data together, I take manoman's word that it's great stuff!
  2. I'm surprised by this, but I got the same result, even after double-checking your coordinates on our list. (I also tried another fansite, and their popup gave the same results, lol. :-$) Offhand I'd guess it has to do with the age of the basic map (also used at the other fansite ). The Crew's "to do" list includes redoing the coordinates locator, but it's a very complex job and we have a lot of maps that need work. At any rate, The spot should be on the beach near the crosshairs.
  3. While people are kicking around ideas and weighing in, it's been proposed that we separate out "mini quests" (currently they are lumped into General Guides and/or Mini Games). My proposal would put them on the same page as minigames, but in a separate block further down (might have to scroll). The reason for having them all on one page is so a CTRL-F will find the thing you want regardless of category. I don't like having to open several pages to find what I want! :) I define "Mini Quests" as a sequence of steps that you do only once (as opposed to repeating over and over for xp or cash or whatever.) MINI QUESTS Unlocking the Abyss and Mogres would also fall into this category. So while I was pondering about it, I wondered if we could put some skill-related guides on the skills page (but in a separate block section, further down) to make them a bit more logical and in some cases easier to reach (rather than opening the main guide, such as cooking and construction). SKILL-RELATED (add to Skills Page) The remaining guides after these movements would be: GENERAL The Mini quests would appear in a separate block located below these remaining MINIGAMES Since you're only gonna use the mini quest guides once, the scrolling down on the mini games page shouldn't matter much. Fire away, but please be gentle? Thanks.
  4. Thanks. As we've recently updated the guide twice, and I'm sure this is a dialogue option, I'm just going to leave this. Thanks though for wanting to help.
  5. :( We've gotten submissions on this but no confirmation (a proofshot of the build menu would be great). Our current info matches the Jagex Knowledge Base article: http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... le_id=2568 I really want to get this right to avoid inconveniencing players. Anyone please post a screenie to help us out.
  6. This is stated under the first sheep http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=48 and the others state do as you did with the first one. Thanks. Closing.
  7. Thanks mcchainmail and feera_san. Moving to closed forum.
  8. It is stated on the map page http://tip.it/runescape/?page=HAM_dungeon.htm and also in the thieving guide. Closing.
  9. This obstacle is included on our special map http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?p ... randar.htm but not on the basic map linked from the quest, which, oddly enough, is this one http://www.tip.it/runescape/quest2/113_tirannwn_2.png I'll refer this to our mappers.
  10. So this would be the song "Overture"? Could someone please verify that this plays in the Party Castle in Falador? Thanks.
  11. Eyehawk is correct. Closing topic.
  12. pokemama replied to a post in a topic in Completed Website Corrections
Thanks mcchainmail. Regarding the sextant etc., you were never required to finish the observatory quest in order to get these items. There was an issue if you'd started but not finished it, but that has been fixed. Thanks for wanting to help.
  13. this was fixed in a recent update to the guide which the author Paw Claw submitted. Thanks.
  14. This is included in the guide, though it may not have been there when you posted. Thanks.
  15. I changed your title from "Update to "Tips and Tricks" of "Creature of Frankenstrain"" to this; I think it belongs in the items db entry for the ring of charos rather than in the quest guide. I haven't tried this, but it sounds interesting! An items db crewbie will get to this soon. Thanks.
  16. Um. We need something more concrete to go on as far as where you got the music ... our guide matches the Jagex manual, and the song didn't exist before this quest which was only released ... 2 weeks ago at most? please make another post if you have more info. locking
  17. Has anyone supplied this picture?
  18. Is there a guide you have in mind for this change? We changed the ghostly robes guide - I don't know what other guides mention party pete's.
  19. I've uploaded the pics from eyehawk to the items database and also to the Beer and Wines guide. Thanks ventuzz for the heads up.
  20. These facts have been added to the queue for possible use in the Times: I'm not selecting "used to be" and "RSC" info simply because we want to provide info that players can use *now*. For the same reason, glitches are unlikely to be posted, since (a) they usually don't do much, (B) Jagex may fix them, and © I don't want to get into trouble with Jagex or forum rules. :D There's also ... some misinformation in the collection: for example, as someone stated above, mithril grapples *can* now be traded (since the recent crossbow update). Thanks for making the thread, and *especially* thanks to tintin for grabbing all the tips to the first post!!
  21. Thanks for the submission. Um. Just to be sure here. Have you done the Tourist Trap quest? We need to have things physically confirmed by someone in the game. I realise what you are saying is *logical* ... however, it has to be accurately tested by someone who hasn't done the quest.
  22. Second post - yes, on purpose, since the above was info from my friend. I'd like to get instructions for all four gardens into the website guide, but we need a consistent format. Although I like your "real game window" pictures, they are not oriented the same direction (on North), they have a lot of chat on them, as well as the inventory pack, and they are just too large for the website. :( Something I've done in the past is to paste the radar minimap into an unused corner of the main game screen, so then all the excess can be cropped off. Dunno if you feel like trying to do that. Although the "grid" map in the other guide is large and clean with clear orientation and straight lines, it's not as easy to see what's going on without seeing the real scenery and elementals, which your pictures show. So I'm rather at a loss, lol. Am hoping I can get an eager Crewbie to take a look and get this moving again. Thanks to all for your patience. :D
  23. Had a friend run through this guide, comments are in red but I'm not sure I understand all of them, lol. TechHead, please take a look and see if you think anything should be added or expanded to make your info clearer.
  24. According to the list above, he cheats you on ranarr and above, actually, giving you a lower potion. I know cos he did it to me, lol!
  25. I'd be happy for you to post Corrections or Suggestions for the official Tip.It guide in the Website Updates forum. http://forum.tip.it/viewforum.php?f=186 I assume that your guide covers most of the same things as the official guide, so if you have anything that's NOT in our guide, and is REALLY essential, let us know about just those specific issues. Thanks!
