Xbox 360 Ethernet Cable [URGENT; Need to purchase tonight!!]
Those are both the same thing. As for the OP's question, no, you can't use a patch cable, which the action says it's a network cable (and the description points to it). Maybe the seller put it in the wrong category. 1 network cable is not going to slow down your network much at all (maybe 5ms max). Most of the lag comes from your ISP's network and how your packets get routed (if your a non techie, don't worry about it, 100ft is fine).

Xbox 360 Ethernet Cable [URGENT; Need to purchase tonight!!]
It's a cable, it's fine. The cable is [almost] never a limiting factor in internet speed. For example, your internet is no more than 10mb/s and the cable can go up to 1000mb/s.

Computer slow while playing RuneScape
Way to prove you have no clue what you are talking about. Cruiser is right, get a new computer. They might actually have a point as my system resources are at 98% before I play RuneScape. Therefore, Windows takes about less than two MB of RAM. Are you sure your reading that right? I highly doubt you have 98% free resources. Are you sure your not looking at your CPU usage before you start Runescape?

Windows Not Detecting all of my upgraded RAM
Only if he has an integrated graphics card, and he doesn't. You would know that if you read the whole thread.

Xbox Live Account/Ethernet Questions
I need a 100 foot cable, not 50. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLi ... rchInDesc= Pick your color. It's also a lot better than anything on ebay. So I'm guessing CAT6 is even faster? EDIT: It's a heck of a lot more expensive than eBay too. I suppose I could get it, is it really fast? That's more expensive than ebay? How much is ebay selling this stuff for? Anyway, CAT6 would be suggested only because it's newer. It is faster than 5E but you will never use all of the bandwidth of 5E unless you have a super faster internet connection that's faster than 1000mb/s (which is almost impossible). So just go with what ever you want.

Xbox Live Account/Ethernet Questions
That's odd, on eBay it said specifically for Xbox. Since I'm not so good at this, could someone go on eBay and look for a 100ft high-speed cable that does work with the 360? Thanks! It may have meant to hook a 360 to another 360. Thats what a patch cable does on a computer, to hook it to another one.

Xbox Live Account/Ethernet Questions
The cable will NOT work. That ethernet cable would be a patch cable which is different than a normal ethernet rj45 cable. Any standard ethernet cable that says CAT5E RJ45 should be fine if it's not a patch cable. Although you may want to get a CAT6 because they are slowly replacing CAT5E as the norm.

Windows users....
Well if PC users dual boot Linux and Windows we can just boot to Linux and kill the malware if the Windows side gets infected. See what I did there? The only reason Windows Pcs have more viruses is because a lot of people use them. Virus makers would rather infect 90% on computer users than the 5% of Macs. Macs do have a viruses and it's worse to get rid of them because there is not nearly enough software to fix it all, unlike Windows. Oh, hows the Mac gaming going? I'm enjoying Crysis right now. Apple does have a good operating system but Mac users do need to shut the **** up. They think their better than Pc users because they can aford to pay $1000 more for the same hardware that would be in a PC. You can't forget about the nice white paint job because looks are way more important that functionality  . This is all coming from an IT guy that fixes computers and I like to see the pros and cons of each operating system and Windows has a lot more pros that a Mac. I have used Leopard and it isn't some amazing piece of software either.

graphic card question
Well most games say that X, Y, Z cards are compatible but their laptop counterparts have not been tested but "may" work. The site may be following strict requirements and failing the laptop graphics so they don't say it works and then it doesn't and make you waste money on the game. There was a way on Vista to tell that is built in called the "Windows Experience Index" and gave your computer a point rating (1-6 rating) based on the lowest score. It's generally not a good indication for system requirements.

help on upgrading the RAm on my samsung r40
I just did a quick google search of your laptop model and it says it uses DDR ram, not DDR2. Download the program CPUZ and it will tell you the exact ram you have.

Why are these disabled?
If that is the case, then trying to enable the Windows options might mess everything up. These programs are designed to be "user proof" which means if the user accidentally enables it, Mcafee will just turn it off so there is no problems (that is, if Mcafee is doing this in the first place). I have tried this with Mcafee before.
-
Why are these disabled?
Mcafee security center I believe replaces the Windows security center. It's nothing to worry about :) . Unless you disabled that Windows notifies you when you are not running an active virus scanner, firewall ect. Try fixing them, if they come back after a restart, then it's probably Mcafee.

HELP!
Make sure you repair install and not a full install/format, or you will lose all of your data.

HELP!
That is a big problem right there. The ntldr is one of the main files that loads the rest of the operating system. This was probably done by a virus, unless somebody messed around in the Windows directory. The best way to fix this is to get your Windows cd out and do a repair install.

Windows Not Detecting all of my upgraded RAM
right click on my computer > properties > advanced tab > performance > advanced tab Yell me how much memory it says under virtual memory. The reason for this is that Windows XP 32bit has a hardware limitation that it can only access 4GBs of total ram (including video ram, physical ram and virtual memory). You may be over this limit with your new ram upgrade.

Firewall at work..?
This may seem like a strange concept but; Your at work, to work, not to pay games. Plus it's against the rules to help you bypass firewalls here.

I need help deciding what RAM to get...
The second computer is a lot better. It has 2GBs of ram and a dual core processor (first computer only has a single core). To answer your question, no, I don't see anything wrong with it.

I need help deciding what RAM to get...
The Sith pretty much hit the nail on the head. So by you wanting to have 2x 512MB stick and 2x 1GB sticks to equal 3GB would have all of the ram run in single channel. There would be no way to run this set up in dual channel. To run in dual channel they don't need to have the same speed (well, kinda). You could match memory with faster ram, such as your current ram is 667mhz with 800mhz ram and it could run in dual channel but the faster ram would downclock to the slower ram, so you would have it all running at the speed of the slowest ram. Same goes with memory timings. Dual channel means double the ram speed in theory, but you will never see that much of an improvement in real world programs. If you have the choice of dual channel or more ram, always go with the more ram because it will always be faster.

Post your Black Friday Buys
Yea, see that's only if your stupid and buy things that aren't on sale that day. Personally I picked up one of these babies: It came with a reader for a total of $29 from a local Staples. On the SanDisk site it sells for $159. Yea so I bought it for about 100 dollars under retail, the only reason it was so cheap is they hoped to use it to lure me into the store and buy other things. Naturally I just bought this and went back home... stores hate shoppers like me :XD: Damn you Best Buy! I bought a 4GB SD card for $30 Friday and I thought I got an awesome deal :x . Anyway, I also bought two 19" widescreen monitors for $99 each. It was one per customer so I bought one and my friend bought the other  .

Spyware
AVG is a virus scanner, it's completely different from the spyware scanners you posted above that. You should be running an active virus scanner on top of having anti-spyware.

El closio.
Whats the model of your computer (the bottom part), the monitor is only a screen and does not have a sound card built in (and thats what was in the link).
-
El closio.
Not the speakers, the sound card. Most likely it's built in to the motherboard so you could go to your computer's manufacturer site and they should have the driver posted there.
