I thought the fact that he kept having the "last gasps" in the mech suit only proved that his father-in-law had greatly underestimated him when he said "you know Wikus... he was always weak" (or something of the same idea). Whether it was selfishness in trying to get CJ to the ship to save his arm, or in anger towards MNU, he didn't just give up or run away like everyone thought he would. ... most people only get one last gasp - the fact that he got multiple "last" chances just shows his dedication and inner strength.

Yeah, but it never hit the social media sites until a few weeks ago. Digg had 4 articles about it make the front page just yesterday. http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/view ... hp?t=26303 :thumbup: ^ this was the first topic where i first heard mention of District 9 i thought i'd seen it mentioned on Digg/etc last year as well, but i couldn't find the link i was thinking of.

I saw the trailer for this movie was all the way back in February and it has been available since then. You can tell viral advertising works though because most people have found out about it in the past few weeks when sites like digg started to have news about it. the viral advertising started as far back as last year's Comic Con. people didn't know whether it was a movie or ARG or what - no one knew what to make of the posters/signs.

Yeah a dilemna there, but if you did win, your one out of 5 players so i'm sure jagex will be able to negotiate something else instead of members ;) i guess technically i'd still be f2p, as i wouldn't be paying for p2p but no one would see it that way :-# (maybe trade it for mechscape p2p O:) )

having a problem with the ML - won't let me add any names to it, so for now there aren't any names at all appearing on it.

dunno when the new skill is coming, but i'll save a copy of the top 250 page somewhere as reference to how the ranks were before the new skill shook everything up. unfortunately the new skill will cause the top f2p list to be very different, as retired players (mendark, fhaz, etc) will immediately be pushed down or off, and the less active (quite a few) will also be pushed much further down the list. i'll need some help collecting any new names that'll pounce on the new skill and rocket up the ranks.

i wanna call it stupid but i'd probably do the same thing if i ran a website that got over a million hits/day. (i can only hope they'll do it for more movies in the future, even if they couldn't advertise R-rated ones)

I received my Eagle Scout award 6-7 years ago and I don't regret going through it at all. If you're having some issues with the bureaucratic stuff going on, use it to your advantage and try to get voted up into the ranks of your troop and change what's going on. I was lucky enough to have a really cool group of friends that I started Scouts with who kept at it as long as I did - I think 5 of us got Eagle all within a year of each other. My roommate freshman year of college was also an eagle scout so immediately we had a lot to talk about, and we ended up rooming together all 4 years. It also helped (I like to think, anyway) me get a job during this crummy economy. One of the people interviewing me was an Eagle Scout and in the Order of the Arrow (which I also recommend you try to get into), so we started off friendly and eventually I got the job. So yeah stick with it - you seem to enjoy 95% of Boy Scouts; don't let the 5% get you down.

yeah i kinda came back in a semi-active role. i've been getting ~50k exp/day or so since January-ish, after not having played since May 08. i don't plan on ever selling any of the rares i have. i buy them just to have, and not as an investment. i don't have the time or the desire to compete against all the market manipulators out there.

... a very long time in the making - I reached 1300 total on June 10, 2007. [hide=Level up Pictures] [/hide] As you can tell, Rc and Fishing aren't exactly my favorite skills to train. [hide=Bank][/hide] I'm under 200 exp to 91 attack and about 85k to 96 str, so I'll get those next, then work towards 99 str & 99 hp. I'll be happy if I manage to get them by 2010. Eventually I may try to get Rc to lvl 80, but I haven't put effort into the skill since like 2006, so I'll probably keep ignoring it and hope that it goes away. Stopping 26k'ing won't directly stop inflation, but all the hysteria of the removal of 26k'ing will indeed stop whatever 'inflation' there was and most likely lead to a drop in price.... just like the worries of inflation led to the problem in the first place.
