  1. Landscaping? I got a perfect summer project for you then: start a garden pond. There is a startup cost (depending on how big you want, cheapest you can do is probably $80), but if you do it by hand then you get a lot of satisfaction from it. Decorative ponds are great for landscaping looks so you might be able to get your parents to pay for it.
  2. The scary thing about that one is m1a1mike got fourteen thumbs down #-o That's because he got trolled, he thought it was a real question but it isn't.
  3. Machine Girl was great :) .
  4. Most of the stupid Yahoo! questions are fake. Back in 1995 when the World Wide Web was young I got one of the "send to 15 people and see Garfield walk across your screen" emails, and I actually thought it might work but at the time I only knew one other person with Internet access. I soon realized that it wouldn't work anyways.
  5. Are you kidding? North Korea launching a nuclear weapon would not cause the rest of the world to launch nuclear weapons back at them. Yes, the rest of the world would destroy them, but we all know better than to start throwing nuclear bombs around. The environmental and health impact are too great.
  6. The seismic activity showed that the explosion was about 1/3 or 1/4 of the nuclear bomb dropped on Nagasaki. The prevailing opinion is that it didn't quite work.
  7. I second this, Wikipedia is awesome at times when you are just looking for general knowledge. It's fun to look something up you want to know about, then spend 2 or 3 hours going off of links from that. I can't remember exactly what the start and end point of one of my browsing sessions was but I think it was something along the lines of starting at Space Habitat and ending at Sumerians, with about 3 hours between. I think it was actually even something cooler than that but it was a while ago.
  8. Oh yeah, I was going to try and see that also. I keep on losing my "to watch" lists. Well I finally got the Coraline graphic novel (which is based on the book, which I haven't read yet) so I was able to watch the movie. Then I decided to check out the rest of Neil Gaiman's movies that I haven't seen yet (still missing two shorts which I can't find). Coraline - Pretty much what I expected, dark and gloomy like Night Before Christmas with Gaiman's odd fantasy gloom mixed in. Beowulf - I didn't like the animation. I could see the need for it with the monsters and stuff but I just didn't like it. I liked the story though. MirrorMask - The craziest, weirdest and oddest of all of Gaiman's works (movies/TV/novels/comics), and if you have seen what he does then you know how much that means. After seeing pretty much all that he has done and reading a lot of what he has done, I have come to a conclusion that I like his novel/comics more than his TV/Movies.
  9. Learn a new language.
  10. Not a lot, everything. But this is a new medium and a story change should be irrelevant to your view of how good you think the movie is.
  11. Is it an internet vote? I'd vote yes just to annoy all the people who believe in that stuff.
  12. I didn't really drink until 21. Since then only been black out drunk once, and never plan on drinking that much again either. Saddens me to see people comparing how much they can drink. It's mostly based on body weight, and then on tolerance (or vice versa). Neither of which is a feat of skill. Saddens me even more to see people talking about going to the hospital/getting alcohol poisoning in a bragging way.
  13. Alright, which one should I listen to first: Nas, Eric B & Rakim, Public Enemy, Common, RUN-DMC or Notorious B.I.G.?
  14. Yep, it is THEIR church that is getting banned.
  15. The problem with NK having nuclear weapons is Kim Jong Il being bat[cabbage] insane. He didn't rise to power, he was basically handed it by his father.
  16. Not the French government I don't think. In the US they probably are though. Don't lump them with the remaining religions. Not because they shouldn't be lumped with them, but because the majority of people on the earth believe in a religion and alienating the majority is not a good idea. The religions that are around now are slightly different in that they hide taking money from people in the form of donations and the like. Scientologists straight up ask for money to get higher in their religion.
  17. I'll throw out a tip: it's amazing how few lyrics of a song you need to know to find it via google. Just type it directly, and your search will usually return a lyric site if nothing else.
  18. 500 or 5 being better depends on who is in your group and where you are. Also neighbors and people around you would be just as good as random kids you know on an internet forum.
  19. That someone doesn't know Yellow Submarine saddens me. I don't see what the point of a meet up is. Traveling seems like an unnecessary risk to me.
  20. It sucks, but it happens to everyone eventually. I work in the death business, but I really only see the people starting two days after the death. I can say that by then a lot of people are better, and that is only a few days. If they visit often many are ok to talk about the deceased without crying or getting upset by a week or two later. However there are some (generally a husband/wife who have been married forever) that don't get over it for a long time.
  21. Protip: Toss it into Tineye (Some links on that page may lead to NSFW content.) Yep, I've been using TinEye the entire time. That's why I wanted to know the creation date, and if it was cropped or not. Oh, and if someone wants another picture of her: http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/23 ... 9198fDJlig Since it was stated first that it was a year ago and not cropped I don't believe it is the user posting.
  22. I see, just trying to determine if that really is you since there were some doubter's above. Maybe posting another picture that is easy to tell is the same person as that picture. Also since you haven't modified the picture the creation date should be the day you took the picture, so you can figure out exactly when that was. That should put down all the doubts.
  23. Wouldn't you remember when you were in Florida on vacation?
  24. You sure it was just a year ago? Is that the full picture or did you crop it?
  25. hey. its the only way i read how to change it to put it on the forums. Got any more bright ideas smart (cabbage). lol yea. i had an acc but i didnt realy like it.. so i've been using my little brother's since he dosent play anymore =) So when did you take that picture, just out of curiosity?
