  1. Even with the unlocked Ring of Charos? What about Lucien himself? Actually he does tell you what he's doing with the ring. I remember this being discussed on the thread I created after I found out how to get the RC guild master to tell me what she was searching for. He's searching for an ancient artifact that gives off a "very specific" form of energy, similar to what the RC guild master says. As she is referring to the Eye of Saradomin aka the Stone of Jas, I can only assume that Movario is searching for the same thing, although he doesn't say outright. Here's a wild thought: perhaps the Staff of Armadyl has the stone of Jas on it?
  2. Is it just me or does that room look like a dragonkin forge? :o
  3. Thanks for your help, but I solved the problem without reverting back... By simply clicking in the applet after it's gone blank. It reverts back to normal. I feel stupid now. :wall: I could have sworn I've tried that before and it didn't work...
  4. If you don't eat then it's basically all about luck; who can get the most hits in before their opponent. Even when both you and your opponent are eating it's still mostly about luck, but there are actually some elements of skill involved, which makes it much more interesting. Anyway, most often the gear you're wearing is worth quite a bit more than the food (sometimes by like 184 times!), so it's worth making an effort to protect.
  5. A point I'd like to bring out to all of you complaining about bsing... tip.it is a fansite, not a clan. In clans, you get kicked for bsing. There are little to no consequences for bsing in a fansite event besides maybe a few rude remarks :P With 500+ people there are bound to be a few... dozen idiots among them that would take advantage of this fact. Hell I've been to some CLAN events where there was a horrid amount of bsing...
  6. Yeah, pretty sure it is. I'm using JRE 6 Update 10. According to the Java website I'm using a version that is "Newer than the current version available on Java.com", what the implications of that are, I don't know.
  7. I say next year's MSSW should be tip.it vs RSOF if RSC decides to continue their ridiculous "boycott". That would truly be a clash of Spartans vs Persians
  8. Because it's a pvp world. That could have been anyone. There was no official authorization to cheat like that. If those people were tip.it, they were acting on their own. And if we saw them, we'd probably have killed them. Hell, tip.it members were attacking each other just because they didn't have the friggin' team-39 cape  Glad I opted not to wear my 99 str cape...
  9. That's their excuse? Because they're too large for us? [cabbage]. We won last year, and all of the sudden they decide not to come because "they'd pwn us". All of those other small sites were more than willing to face a giant like tip.it, I say bring it on to RSC. You guys can even wear rune if you want to. At least it'll be more epic than this year's.
  10. This event was only a fail because RSC didn't show up. That pretty much ruined the whole thing. The other fansites didn't stand a snowman's chance in hell against tip.it.
  11. It's kind of starting to piss me off tbh. Every time I minimize the window RuneScape is currently playing in (both firefox and IE), when I bring it back the whole applet is blank and there's no way to get it to come back. It happens regardless of weather or not I'm logged in. Okay, so just don't minimize it, right? That's fine and good, but while trying to use Microsoft's virtual desktop manager the same thing happens; when I switch back to the desktop RS is playing in it's completely BLANK. Is there any way to fix this?
  12. If you click the button on the main page for free users, it will still allow you to log in to member's worlds using that applet. Doesn't work the other way around, though, sorry f2pers :P
  13. Awesome, now we actually stand a chance of getting some good loot. (provided you don't protect your scim) :) Got an offer in the GE for a corrupt dragon scim, not going to hold my breath on that one though... #-o
  14. Yeah, I had thought of that, but it seemed a bit... harsh to me. On one hand you have moderate risk (there were players in old wild that attacked tters, after all), but with that, you'd quite literally have a target painted on your back. It would make it a bit more interesting though.
  15. This is an idea I came up with to, firstly, make treasure trails a bit more interesting in return for some greater rewards, and secondly, provide a means for obtaining permanent (yet degradable) versions of the ancient armors. How it works: While you're killing monsters on PvP worlds, instead of dropping normal clue scrolls, they drop tattered, bloodstained scrolls. These have exactly the same challenges involved as normal clue scrolls, and the same rewards, but they are given out more frequently! And of course, pvp scrolls are the only ones that give out the ancient armors and weapons. The catch? You can't do them on non pvp worlds (obviously!). If you attempt to log into a non pvp world with a pvp clue scroll, it will disintegrate. You may bank them to do later, but if you attempt to withdraw one on a non pvp world, again, it will disintegrate. Also: If you are killed by another player while you have one of these, regardless of weather you're skulled or not... they will obtain the scroll from your corpse! Now about the ancient armors/weapons. It goes without saying that they would have to have a very low droprate. Not quite as extreme as 3a, but low enough that it wouldn't be easily obtainable. I'm thinking that the level 78 gear should defiantly come from the level 3s, and you could possibly have corrupt dragon dropped from the level 2s, and maybe have brawling gloves come from level 1s (not fixable, they would be just like gloves dropped from players). As to the rate of degradation; it should be similar to the rate of decay of the player-dropped gear, and the repair cost should be quite a bit higher than barrows. Finally, this gear should only be usable on pvp worlds (just as the scrolls are "bound" to these worlds) and possibly bounty hunter (gear would be dropped similar to how barrows is).
  16. You can already get 100k+ exp per hour at zombie monkeys which are almost completely safe, relatively cheap, and very afk-able. I seriously doubt this could be much better, and even if it is you have to have two people putting 100% of their concentration on the game. Of course it could be good for f2p since they can't normally train with melee prayers.
  17. They need to make a point system. Say the opponent loses full rune; you gain 180k points. In order to have a decent chance to get a good drop, you would need a quarter of the amount of points equivalent to the min GE price of that item. So to have a decent chance to get a DFH drop, you would need around 12m points. Of course, you could still get drops, but having high points would make them more likely. It's the only way to make it so that people can't farm kills. Couldn't they just farm points then? I'm assuming from what someone said that you can run back and collect your items as long as it's within 1 minute. If that's true, two people could stand right outside a safe zone next to a respawn point, one of them intentionally looses his godsword, and then goes and picks it back up. The person who killed him now has 20-60m points =/ And if they do it again, the killer has a significant chance of getting a little something more than just points... Correct me if I'm wrong in that assumption, please.
  18. Perhaps, but the chance of reward was already low enough to the point where I figured it wasn't worth it. No point in going back now that the risk is even higher. And it wasn't completely safe before, btw. Sometimes the dark core was underneath the beast...
  19. Yeah, it cut it down to a reasonable difficulty. Even when everyone started using that trick I'd still see lots of people dying on the larger raids. How are you supposed to stay alive now? It'd be one thing if the beast picked random targets for each attack like the KBD/KQ, but from my personal experience he stayed on me until I either did the dancing trick... or died. #-o
  20. Kinda weird update. But if you actually need 100 combat f2p now to get on vet boat in PC that's a nice plus to this update. That's assuming you're not allowed to bring summoning pouches into PC (never tried). I wonder also if this effects the aggressiveness of monsters like wild dogs? Not that it matters to high-summoning slayers, 'cause they'll probably be using a bunyip/uni while slaying greaters anyway.

    No Update

Heh... did you get a little peeved too when you went to the frontpage and saw that it had changed but it was just those prepaid card things?
  22. -.- Just because you can buy something and sell it later on doesn't guarantee that you'll make money doing it. 6/10 from me, btw. I know from personal experience that you don't always make money from such ventures

    AGS Sucks

It all depends on the situation really. If you're in a fight where neither opponent is using food, yes the SGS is much more valuable to have than an AGS. But in an eating KO fight like in the old wilderness, BH, and in the PVP worlds to come, that extra 13 damage could mean the difference between KOing your opponent and... not. An SGS spec would only serve to save you a little money on food and pray pots, but then if you successfully KO your opponent early on with AGS specs you'll be saving a lot more on supplies than if the fight drags out because you fail to KO them and they eat to full hp.
  24. It's laziness on their part. They don't want to have to chase down runners, and they don't want to have to make an effort to run themselves.
