  1. You mean the one posted after the player kits were released? That's been a while ago, and try as I might, I can't get my friend the search button to do anything useful. OT: I posted a pretty good Selphie (FFVIII) on that topic, I'll post it if I can actually find the thread.
  2. Left half from a greater demon. Managed to sell it for 660k when the GE came out. Haven't had one since.
  3. No, this made the ectofuntus a somewhat viable option again for those who want to do a little less clicking on the way to 99 prayer. I'm sure gilded altar is still a whole lot faster. If they ever addded an "Offer-X" option, THAT would make this skill even easier. Not this.
  4. 80% Skilling, 20% Combat... 0% merchanting. :-# I don't make very wise decisions when it comes to money  I did make like 5 mil on dragon bones a little while ago, but there are many, many more times where I've kicked myself for buying something only to see it drop a day later (Like when I bought an SGS and it dropped by 2.7m the next day :wall:). Of course most of that instability is caused by manipulators... which is why I generally loathe them. I don't mind investors who ride market fluctuations, because people do that in real life, but what some of these "merchants" are doing would be ILLEGAL in real life.
  5. You know what? If they're going to add more customization options for our avatars, they damned well had better make them available to us through normal play like quests, minigames ect, because they day they start selling awesome clothes like this exclusively through some BS cash shop is the day I quit... I can't stand games that do stuff like that. If there are some awesome looking items available, frankly, I'm going to want them, and I don't want to have to pay my hard earned real cash to get them... having a cool avatar is just as much part of an MMO as levels and stat-boosing armor; it's why people pay 1m+ for useless items like black cavs. Selling items like that for real money only is no better than the massive RWTing that went on before Dec 10.
  6. At least in a fast clicking game you have a chance of being better than the other player regardless of stats. In multi, it suddenly becomes all about your stats. Thus higher level players abuse their power to crash other, lower leveled players, and in LS worlds bigger teams crash smaller teams. Far more frustrating IMO.
  7. Hmm good idea... maybe range armor helps aswell? And possibly same with mage? Probably not but it wouldn't hurt to wear it anyway.
  8. Best place for me = god wars. No randoms, and if you have 83 slayer and alch near the Sara boss door, you can give the spirit mage or warrior a good whack with a mystic lava staff every now and then when zam creature (particularly the gorak) is attacking it. Possible to get some good alchable items that way, and dragon boots if you're very lucky. Of course if you alch there that means you need at the very least a zamorak and saradomin item, probably one of the other two to at least get you to that spot unscathed.
  9. Yeah, it pretty much boils down to luck doesn't it? Mine's only 75. Yet my ranged is 99 and I failed on the 99 range spots like 4 times...
  10. Aww ffs I just tried that and failed on the chins once. Got a score of 1140 :( But I got the clown top and bottoms. Funny, because the last two weeks I've been trying to satisfy the audience as much as possible and I got ~800 every friggin time...
  11. Never had one either. Is there even any point in it though? If you got some special wearable items from defeating the champions, that would be one thing, but a bit of slayer exp? Somehow I don't feel motivated to camp at hill giants/jogres/ect... :|
  12. The time management thing is actually very simple: Don't play RuneScape until ALL of your homework is done. Period. I used to find myself estimating how long my homework would take me, and then play RuneScape just leaving myself enough time to do the homework; only to find out that it takes me longer than I originally expected. Then I have to rush to get it done at the last minute and it gets really stressful. DON'T do that. If you pour too many little rocks into a bucket before you put the large ones in, you might find yourself short on space. If you put the large ones in first the small ones will fall nicely into place. Short version: Bigger priorities come first. Don't procrastinate. ;) If you remember that, you'll be fine. If you're one of those people that has very little self control... I wouldn't bother.
  13. I went there and it didn't seem that bad. You just have to watch for the cores, splash attacks, and for when he gets on you. When he does, I just quickly click his yellow dot on the map and run underneath him and eat, then dance with him a bit until he gets off of me. Btw, mage protect seems to help. I used it and never got hit above 40+. Maybe I was just lucky, but the only people I saw taking huge hits was meleers and people not using mage protection.
  14. Ugh, that was hard stuff. The first two rounds I got through just fine without taking too much damage. The white ball-things aren't that hard to dodge. But the third stage... ugh. I died once, and the second time the thing brought me down to ONE hitpoint from 99 right as it died... lucky me :ohnoes:
  15. Good lord. Level 785, hits 60+ (through prayer?), armor ineffective, 2k hp... AND it regens health? Freaking finally. I was wondering when Jagex was going to add a boss that wasn't totally solo-able. I wonder how rare of drops these new items are. Hopefully not as rare as hilts, because so far this thing is making Zil and company look like infants. If it is that rare you can bet the shields (if they're any more useful than the DFS) will be like 100m+ easy.
  16. Yeah, I'm pretty sure the exact same thing has been going on for a long time now with many various other items. Anytime you see a sharp price drop and a subsequent sharp price increase; it's because price manipulators with billions of GP are buying the item in massive quantities only to dump them later. Some random guy told me that that acidy guy had over 40 bil from price manipulating. I really am not inclined to believe him until I see it for myself... ... but I don't doubt the guy is insanely rich. I guess all this means that Jagex's GE limitations failed to live up to their purpose. To prevent exactly this.
  17. Yeah, I just randomly decided after seeing a topic of tif that I wanted to get void melee + range. :) So the 1050 points I need will be going towards that, not def. :P Though I will get a good amount of def exp just from participation.
  18. Not extremely proud of this level like I was of my previous 99 (RC), but hey, a 99 is a 99. Unlike my 99 attack which was mostly PC'd (old pc) this one was gotten mainly through slayer, and the last couple of levels at zombie monkeys in ape atoll. Now I finally get to ditch my SS/D Scims :P Back to doing slayer with a WHIP. :)
  19. Yeah I did that for my last level. Banking at cwars is a lot easier because it's 1 click. Just keep a glory around your neck for emergency teles/when you need to repair pouches. Tip: Instead of using all 8 charges, bank the ring when you're down to 1 and when you're done RCing alch the rings. I believe you get around 700ish gp per ring alched, so you save about 500 gp per ring. Rings cost 900ish on the GE so that's quite a savings. To OP: Yes that's actually very good. At TOP speed it's about 3000 with ghraaks. Tabs are probably almost double that since they're 30 seconds per trip instead of 60, but they take way too long to get with the minigame to be worth it. Use ghraaks. Unless you feel that the time used in the minigame isn't a waste since it's fun.
  20. Essence will most likely skyrocket like it did with the rc update, Monster hunting takes a good amount of skill? To me soloing kq is much harder than fighting a measly pure. No idea why you think pure ess is going to skyrocket. I'm pretty sure runes will, though. I don't know, that part of my post is mostly speculation. The point is that I don't have to PK to survive, or even thrive. As for my comment about monster hunting; I wasn't actually trying to say that monster hunting required no skill. I was merely pointing out that in the new PKing system, rewards are doled out by how impressive your kill is, not by pure luck. So if you fight a measly pure you probably won't get much of anything. Although IMO Pking does require a lot more skill. I tried PKing once, I failed epically at it. I tried monster hunting more than a few times, and with the right stats, gear, and a very basic understanding of the bosses, I did just fine. No drops, though.
  21. What are you saying? The era of going to bosses and getting lucky for your massive wealth is over and is going to be replaced by PKing, something that actually requires skill? It's about time. For me, it's not "PK or die". It's continue RCing which can only get better when the new PKing is released.
  22. It's kinda hard to tell. Saw someone doing sgs+cat mask, sgs+penguin, sgs+2x sheeps, sgs for cash+40m of junk... so it could be anywhere from 20-40m. But it's completely out of your reach unless you happen to have the difference in junk laying around, or you're willing to waste a ton of time making it. :?
  23. No, it's not above the GE price, it's way below. If I put in at max price I'm fairly certain I'd get one instantly at near min price. But the SGS has been dropping by several million for days now, no telling when it will stop. If I could sell the masks then I could get one for the "real" price now, but unfortunately gathering junk just isn't worth it.
  24. From what I can see on GE, most scrolls are worth LESS than 10% of the price of the pouch... :? Besides, my pouches are far more valuable to me when traded back in for more shards. Using them as junk is basically the same thing as paying 59m for the SGS on the GE. I guess I really am out of luck. No junk that I can find seems reasonable to use. It boggles the mind why some people would even bother with gathering it. If I had 25m+ of truly worthless junk lying around, great but... I said it in the OP, and reduced the size down to 1 so there was no possible way of reading it; but I'll say it again. I'm glad RWT is (mostly) gone, but this regulated market is really, really frustrating.
  25. I really want an SGS, but then I want to get it at the cheapest price I can. It seems on the RS forums people are currently selling SGS's with masks. I've seen one guy selling with a penguin, and another selling with 2 sheeps. Given the price of these masks atm that would mean that the SGS's street price is like 30-40m currently. Now my question: Is there any effective way of gathering junk so that I could get rid of the masks for their street price? I'm really not interested in maple (u)'s, seriously. That's like 150k/hour; I could be making 800k+ an hour of REAL money with RCing. If there isn't any way to get more than 1-2m worth of junk per hour then I guess I'm just going to have to wait an indefinite amount of time before it finally stops dropping. Glad RWT is (mostly) gone, but this new regulated economy is kinda frustrating tbh.
