  1. 99 rcers trying to get ranks go there because they attract a lot more attention to themselves than at FFDN. Any crafter there can double nats, but only a 99 rcer can 10x airs. And don't tell them that they should stop at 99 rc either, it's their right if they want to go beyond that.
  2. I believe laura's post was more directed at people saying the skill wasn't rewarding at all. Because it certainly is for people like me who aren't comfortable with risky/luck-dependent methods. If yours doesn't involve either, believe me, I'd love to hear it. That's assuming it isn't uber-top-secret :-w
  3. My wallet would certainly love it if they were (that's assuming waterfiends aren't totally swamped), but should anyone really be allowed to put up a few hundred mill and get 99 in 1 day? 99s are supposed to take effort, the only real effort that goes into summoning itself is gathering the charms. Without that obstacle it would be the fastest (albeit most expensive) buyable 99 by far.
  4. All I can say is it's a good thing the charms aren't tradable :P If they were 6k each you would be grossing 1.2m an hour on crimson charms alone at rock lobs, which would make magic a practically free skill. Of course it couldn't stay like that; either one of two things would have to happen, chaos/death/blood runes skyrocket, or price of charms would go down. Probably the latter. No matter how much demand for charms there would be in the case of this imaginary update, there simply isn't enough demand for them since summoning would still be a very expensive skill to train, and with every spot in every world at rock lobs full 24/7, the supply would ultimately overwhelm the demand. Unless rock lobs were nerfed. :P
  5. Meh imo if you're that concerned with your item going down in price you must not really like the item anyway. Armadyl armor is dropping too atm, I could care less. If you feel like your items are a financial asset that you would ever consider liquidating, do it now. You probably don't enjoy the items enough anyway.
  6. I finally got 99 Runecrafting yesterday so I can post my pic now. Btw, thanks to Lugia for randomly letting me borrow his phat. Made this picture all the more awesome. Forum Name: -Peronix- Runescape Name: Peronix Picture: http://i34.tinypic.com/30bz8js.png
  7. ...Finally. Been a long time ago I started this goal. I obviously got a bit distracted in the middle since I got 99 range and hp since then as well. But it feels good to finally have one of the hawtest capes in the game : I believe I was the 927th to achieve this. After this point ranks will come easily for a while. Surprising how many people get this skill and drop it completely... In fact I'm rank 902 right now just from doing one more run after the 99. Anyway, enough of that, onto the pics! I know, not a creative place to get a 99, but w/e. [hide=Bank][/hide] P.S: Yeah I took down my av and sig since they were related to this goal. I'm working on making something new, might take awhile :P
  8. Oh look everyone, another panic induced frenzy. Now everyone is doing the opposite! Buying pure ess at max price and selling nats at rock bottom. Freaking. GREAT. I hate the grand exchange. -.-
  9. It's easy to understand why there are so many more rants. Whenever Jagex makes even a small mistake, people on the RSOF are quick to rant about it. And then when they nerf something... oh boy. And you know what happens when they release some wonderful feature that people have been clamoring for? Most of those who liked it don't post about it in the compliments forum, and then you STILL have people that will whine about how it didn't live up to their expectations.
  10. It's about time they did something about that abomination that is the RSOF rants forum. Maybe (hopefully...) with a name like "game feedback" it'll actually get more constructive criticism in it.
  11. And I still have like 5 days till 91. :( :wall: And I just hit 98 rc with college starting in 6 days. :wall: I'm glad nats are going up, though. Update: Nats rose by +10 and pure ess dropped by -6. I doubt this can continue for very long; it'll probably drop off at like 260ish per nat and stay around ~120 for pure ess. Just a guess.
  12. Wow, nature runecrafting is suddenly coming back to life. Pure ess just dropped 7 gp on the exchange and nats rose by 5. But it's even better than that. Pure ess is selling a min price of 133 and nats won't sell at anything but max, 238. Looks like double nat crafting is back up to over 1m an hour at top speed.
  13. Lol I'm not jealous of your summoning level that's fur sure. Summoning rocks. But there's nothing morally wrong with giving your account to your own sister so I don't see what the big deal is. 9/10 on 2k total, it's a big milestone, and an even bigger achievement since you don't have summoning levels. Not that I think leaving summoning on 1 is an achievement, but obviously if you do you need more higher levels in other skills to get 2k total.
  14. Between godswords, whips, ddses, summoning familiars, ancients... ect, P2P would win easily. Not to mention there are a lot more higher levels in P2P versus F2P. Most of the "numbers" in f2p are just newbs that would make a negligible contribution to the fight.
  15. Yeah I think a huge part of the decline in RCing and especially skills like fletching, cooking, herblore ect. was due to the removal of the wilderness. Now they're essentially restoring some worlds to what it was like in the beginnings of RSC, you all know how addictive that was. Prices will no doubt skyrocket when it is released; and drop to a more reasonable price shortly thereafter. I'm holding onto my nats for a while. 8-) Good thing I already have more than enough ess for 99 rc.
  16. Exactly what I thought, these new worlds have certain leveled areas from what it sounds like so pures are going to make a comeback. And they'll be wanting natures to alch to higher mage levels. I'm going to hang onto my natures for a while. : New quest? Freaking sweet. I just hope they give it some 80+ reqs. I haven't been forced to train my skills for a quest since I was a newbie. And from what it sounds like, it will involve the Stone of Jas or some other cryptic mysteries of RuneScape; that's just freaking epic. Can't wait.
  17. What I find amazing though is that despite how ridiculously low nature runes are going I still see people level 54-90 crafting natures. I think it's largely the fault of the ghraak, it made nat crafting so fast that everyone thinks that nothing else is worth crafting. With how low nats are going if I were them I would much rather craft laws in the abyss; but unfortunately I'm one of the level 91+ runecrafters that gets to watch in horror as the income they worked so hard to attain to withers. I really don't want to have to resort to GWDing... I really don't...
  18. Meh, I just straight up ignore them. I don't turn public chat off or anything, I just continue what I'm doing and watch them react however they will. That's pretty funny too.
  19. Yeah, it's the Stone of Jas. The conversation clearly says the wizards called it the eye of Saradomin. The wizards of the tower were Saradominist, and anything that is attributed with creation they would obviously put Saradomin's name on because they believe Saradomin created runescape, when it was in fact the elder gods that created the plane of Glienor, and Guthix who shaped the world from the Stone of Jas.
  20. I went there and after wearing the pendant of lucien I found a charm option with the ring of charos. Movario said Lucien sent him to find "artefacts that give off a very specific type of energy". Sound familiar?
  21. I think it unlikely that the man she talked about and the WoM are one in the same. Why? Well for one he is a bit old for her to have fallen in love with him. I'm not dismissing the possibility, but it does seem a bit unlikely. More importantly, though, she said the man was a treasure hunter that hunts magical artifacts and sells them for gold. The whole reason the Wise Old Man robbed the bank was because he was discontent with the rewards his questing career had gotten him. Maybe I'm wrong; I think it would be interesting if it were the WoM; but I doubt it.
  22. I'm not sure if I'm the first to find this, but I couldn't find anything on the RSOF or tif anyway. I apologize if this has already been posted. I had an interesting chat with Wizard Elriss, involving the ring of charos. To get to that option you choose "what is this place" and then keep choosing the first option until you get to the charm option. Anyway, here's the conversation. [hide=]P = Player, E = Elriss. P: You can tell me. E: You do seem trustworthy. I suppose it can't hurt to tell you a little. I am searching for an artifact that gives off a very specific type of energy. After many years of research, I think I'm finally drawing near. POpt2: What artifact are you looking for? E: I know you are an experienced runecrafter, unlike the wizards of this tower. Perhaps you will understand. Have you ever wondered how the rune essence and the rune altars came to be? How the altars and the rune essence can work together when they are so spread out? Some of the surviving records of the old Wizards' Tower, if read properly, suggest that there was one artifact that originally created the rune essence and all the altars. The Wizards called this the Eye of Saradomin. That is what I am looking for. None of the other wizards believe it is possible, which is why I am working secretly. When I find it, its power will be all mine. POpt1: How are you looking for it? < --- this is the point where you apparently need to be wearing full rcer robes to continue. E: You have already been helping me, actually. I am using the Runecrafting altars to triangulate the artifact's position. Every time Acantha and Vief send teams through around the altars, the signal's position becomes a little clearer. POpt1: You were using me! E: People use one another. That is how life is. Years ago, a treasure hunter used me on his quest for this artifact - used me in a far more hurtful way than I've used you. After he left, however, I worked out what he was after and it set me on this line of research. If you are strong enough, you will learn from this. If not, I have no time for you and no sympathy. POpt1: Who was it? What happened? E: We were apprentices together here. He left after graduating, but a few years later he came back. I was young and naive and fell in love. I thought he would stay at the tower but he never wanted me to be a proper wizard. He was a treasure hunter, stealing magical artifacts from tombs and selling them for base gold. He used me to get at the tower's records and was never interested in me. He only wanted to look in the records for clues about the artifact's location. I saw what he was reading and tried to help him, but he was angry. He wanted to keep his research secret from me! Once he had what he was looking for, he left me without a word. Well, now I have no use for him. I went over what he had been reading and I found the clues he had found. I will find that artifact, and I will use its power to crush him like an insect. POpt2: Well, good luck with that.[/hide] From that, I can only assume that this is a teaser at a future quest involving Wizard Elriss' revenge and this Eye of Saradomin. If so, I'm really looking forward to it. Sounds like an excellent storyline. And, y'know, it involves runecrafting. :
  23. Tried this at 99 Runecraft and she also says I'm not ready for Runecraftings 'inner secrets' Really? Because she told me I was an experienced Runecrafter, unlike the wizards in "this tower", and she told of an artifact she was searching for; the Eye of Saradomin; that is said to have been responsible for creating rune essence and the altars themselves. Maybe it was because I was wielding an omni-talismin staff + full Runecrafter robes? I'll post the convos if you want.
  24. Meh I just got niles and it didn't work. Maybe there's just a bug with miles. Someone earlier in the thread said it didn't work on giles either, so again, maybe it's just a bug with miles and nothing to do with the ignore list.
  25. Blast it! Sandwitch Lady is 14 characters long :wall: Oh how I would have loved to ignore her. I wonder if this works on randoms like Molly though? Or Drill Demon?
