94 Runecrafting. Getting really close to the top 1k RCers... In other news, I've forsaken the RC blog. I'm not really as focused on this goal as I was when I was going from 80-91, consequently many of the entries were just "Haven't done any RCing...", or something like that.

Wow, truly awesome guide. After reading this I finally decided to try it. This is my second trip ever (did first on my mac book... no idea how to screenshot in mac lol; it was around 480 kills). My setup is pretty much ideal, though armadyl legs would be slightly better.

I'd be careful about making assumptions, if I were you. For 99 Mining he mined over 1 million pure essence and a ton of gold ores. So yeah, he did mine his own ess. Not saying his idea of looking down on people for not being "self sufficient" is good one...

My version of that conversation: You see, when you powertrain like this you can't just disregard the time it took to make the money for the skill. 99 Ranged in 1 week is impossible.

I'll be maxing it ASAP. I have 32m in the bank for it with another 25 or more well on the way what with my RC level. I'm kinda hoping it will be around as expensive as 99 crafting and not 100m+. I'm not made of gp :anxious: I don't see how it's so hard to fathom this new skill being partially f2p. The free game has had access to all of the combat related stats since members was released. I know they said no new skills will be f2p, but then again, they did give the duel arena to f2p... which I'm pretty sure nobody expected.

Bad. Even though their presence kept the prices on certain commodities low, I doubt we would have noticed the high prices if there were something magically preventing their presence in the game from the beginning. After these updates that eliminated their motivation for botting, a lot of people are mad because the prices started going up, because we were all spoiled by the low prices. We would have managed with the higher prices, and we can certainly manage when they do eventually go up to those prices. That was pretty much the only excuse people had for liking bots. I needn't go into the other obvious negative elements bots brought about by their presence.

If you are seriously waiting FOUR hours trying to buy a whip for above the going price you really need to look somewhere else. Like a trade world? Or the forums perhaps? OT: I see no reason whatsoever for the word noob being used in anything but jest. Even if someone is acting like a real idiot, spouting off inane gibberish in "leet" speak, or whatever else, using that word just shows that you aren't much more intelligent than the person that you use it against. Despite Jagex's filter, there are still plenty of other, more creative insults at your disposal; though resorting to insults is certainly never the best way to deal with someone.

I finally managed to get that archers ring. Also bought a seers ring, so now I have a complete set. I'm also looking for a bandos team, but I can't find one for the life of me. Any help on that would be appreciated.

I don't get what you mean by regret. I don't regret playing RuneScape this year; I got quite a lot accomplished. A few updates isn't going to make this whole year live on in infamy. I do regret 12/10/07, though. Why? Because I actually felt like it was the end of RuneScape that day. I regret that I was ever that pessimistic.

To me a no lifer is someone who puts RuneScape above their family, friends, and career. I don't fall under that category. I play an average of 5 hours a day (sometimes 10+), but those other aspects of my life absolutely come first.

I agree that the two skills are easy and not worth bragging about, but what I really HATE is when people look down on you just for getting them. It's like "Why did you even bother"? Because it's a 99, not that it's much of an accomplishment, but anyone who wants all 99s has to get those two.

6/10. At first I thought maybe you had a much lower prayer level than I did, but you only have 4 levels lower. 200 in a trip is pretty low. Here's a pic of one of my trips. Ooh, ick page 5. Again it's been 4 or so days since I've updated the RC blog. I've done 30k or so essence since I updated it, though. This morning I finally got around to trying aviansees. They're... awesome :) But one trip took like 4+ hours. In that time I killed almost 500 aviansees and got a similar number of addy bars, and about 260k worth of rune dagger (p+) and rune limb drops. I got literally like 40 rune daggers (alched them). Here is a pic of my setup, any suggestions on how to improve it? (besides archer ring. I already considered that and actually tried buying one from GE but apparently nobody is selling one...):

Nice IP :anxious: :-w Who cares -.- All you can do with that is find the location of my local ISP. And midgar you did sound like you were bragging a little. There's nothing to brag about; it's not even that much of an "achievement". I was just messing around...

Uh oh... I can see the rants from f2p players now. "OMG I got pwned by that lvl 138 revenant dragon!!!" So that could be one possible con to the updated combat cap. Jagex will inevitably decide that it's not fair for level 138s to be exempt from the dangers of the wilderness (at least the first 12 levels of it) and make revenants for those levels; and knowing Jagex they'll be incredibly powerful and roam f2p worlds as well.

I've sold mine for about 130K on the GE yesterday. Hmm... guess I got mine at a low point. Bought it for 70k. But w/e I don't need an extra anyway. I've picked up my RC goal again in the last couple of days. Yesterday I did 8k ess today I've already done close to 10. I've decided that if I like summoning, I'm going to max it. And I'm going to need money for that.

It IS possible that when you enter a f2p world your combat level will reflect only your f2p combat skills. So if you're 138 in members you'd show up as 126 in f2p... As for the combat level change, I see no real pros or cons for it. I might have if the wilderness was still intact, but the number makes little difference now. They'll probably just throw the 127+ in the same high level arena in bounty hunter as the one we have now. I don't see how there will be more beggars with the 138 cap... begging will have already been eliminated by the change in the trade system.
