Oh... wonder why the heck I did that :? -
Not true. Nats were like this the first day; everyone was selling for the rock bottom price of 280 ea, then the next day it was 270 ea... but the lowest that day was 264 ea. Today the median price is 271 ea, and that's what everyone is selling them for. Prices WILL stabilize once they get down to their market equilibrium, some will just take longer than others because quite frankly some of Jagex's prices weren't even close...
-
Yeah, that's pretty much it. Before GE almost everyone had a ton of stuff in their banks that they couldn't be bothered to sell because it just takes too long. Now that there is an easy way to sell said items, everyone is unloading. Once most of these "bank junk" items have changed hands to those who actually have use for them, it will slow down.

It seems prices on nats are stabilizing, finally. Yesterday I sold 30k nats for 270 each, today they're 271 each for the median market price and that seems to be what everyone is selling them for. I placed a bid for 1 nat at 285 each and it bought instantly and gave me 14 gp back. Oh yeah, and for all those people complaining about not being able to alch because of yew long prices... fletch them yourself. I went to GE, placed a bid on a yew log, a bowstring, and a nat, and I came out with about a 48 gp deficit. That's probably the same if not lower of a deficit than before the GE... -
Yeah, it seems that every NPC in Falador screams that (seen guards doing it) when someone pulls the lever. Yeah, I'd like to see the stream of noobs that pours into the party room when the bankers scream "10m in the party room happening now!" in an f2p world

+1 -.- But to be serious... Pro: Can sell things without having to be online or sitting in world 2. Also certain items like mind shields are easily re-obtainable. Cons: A general drop in prices for a lot of items, like nats...

For me it was a bear, back in RSC. Bears are a real threat, you know :x -

Ooh forgot about the av. It's updated now. Oh yeah. I sold my dragon chain and legs and bought bandos chestplate and tassets for 30.5m. Still have 17m left, that'll be enough spending until I finish the ess I have left. My next item goal I think will be the ZGS and berserker ring, and then possibly a DFS. After that... all gp will go towards skilling. -

This forum goes too fast :? -
That makes perfect sense, and to be honest I don't think people should even be making 300m a day even for legitimate use like skilling. But that dosen't change the fact that the 3k cap is completely ridiculous. They could change it to 500k every 15 minutes and most of this "gambling" AND "covert RWTing" would still be stopped, since the cash/day wouldn't be that high and it would be more convenient for RWTers to use the trade system to transfer mills.
-
If enough people kept their left halves up there for the lowest possible price, it would change. If people don't put them up, as far as the system knows, there is no supply and no demand, so the price dosen't change. Personally... I'm hating these new prices. Yesterday nats were 280 ea, now they're 270 ea... the price drops really seem to be getting out of hand. People are just putting their stuff up there for the lowest possible price to sell their stuff faster, and that just drives the prices down further.

Took awhile, but got the next level, 92 RC. Don't you dare say "woot halfway". This is MUCH closer than halfway. Let's not forget that you start out at 1 rc only being able to use small pouch and craft airs... And yeah, I actually got pkd. I'm a little mad about it, but it was basically my fault. I got this delusion that I could actually defend myself, so I went back with food, dds, and a super set, and got owned. I swear to god every hit by him was 25+... way to boost my confidence in taking risks... -.- That clinches it, I'm never attempting to "pk" anyone ever again. Every attempt I have made at it hasn't ended well. Guess I'll just have to keep switching worlds like I always do, and leave the pking to the professionals :? -
There are other methods of getting 99 fm besides buying willows from the general store... the exp/hour you get from that is REALLY low. Buy maples or something, that's what I did.
-
Qeltar, you fail to realize that there ARE buyers, even for items that seem like they simply won't sell for the lowest possible price. There are perhaps hundreds of other players putting up such items as Calquat seeds for the lowest possible price, and only a few who are buying... if you keep the seeds in the GE for long enough, all of the other people who are selling for that price will have sold theirs, and buyers will receive their seeds from you. You just have to be patient. I put up nats for almost the lowest possible price, and it took a while before buyers started getting their nats from me, but when they did my 120k didn't last long. Also, if the low demand and high supply trend keeps up, the prices will eventually lower. It dosen't update very often to stop people from undercutting each other just to sell items faster.
-
Ooh I just figured out how the GE works for stuff like nats :) Apparantly, trades go on a first come first serve basis. If you put up nats for say, 280 ea, and there are a lot of others lots for 280 ea, it will do the ones who put theirs up first. After 3 hours of having 120k nats up, I suddenly got a message while RCing that one of my lots updated. I went to the bank and hit collect, and there was 2m sitting there, and right before my eyes, mills started piling up... once my lot started selling, it took about 3 minutes to sell it all.
-
Okay, Jagex really needs to fix the GE. I have 120k nats in the GE for 280 ea, not one has sold. I posted that on the RSOF and I've gotten at least 3 PMs saying that they tried putting up a buying offer for nats and it gets auto-aborted. I tried to put one up myself and it just says "Submitting..." and it won't go up... and it gets aborted when I log out and log back in.
-
Okay, this is really irritating me, I put my 120k nats up for 280 ea, and none have sold. At all. Is NOBODY buying nats?
-
With all due respect, have you actually tried selling things on this? The vast MAJORITY of items do not sell because the prices are wrong. lets see an example of an item that is not a resource or rare. such a "baby wants his bottle" attitude. A few examples are rune boots, black mystic bottoms, and rune fullhelms. I've had them in the GE at the lowest possible price for hours, none are selling.
-
Well, except for the fact that it's almost impossible to sell anything, it's perfect. ;) I don't see how its impossible to sell anything if you don't be an idiot and sell for the highest possible price. If you do that you should know that you won't get you're item sold. Well, I put up my 120k nats for 290 ea, which is 5 below the current market price... they've been up there for hours, not even ONE sold. It seems like if you want to sell anything you have to put it at the lowest possible price -.-
-
System update... possibly a pin on the Grand Exchange? Let's hope so.
-
This kind of bites. I've had 115k nats up for 290 ea for like an hour now and not ONE has sold. This place does seem good for hard to sell items, though.
-
Higher defense + mage level is the first one. For equipment, wear full black dhide, a mind shield, and a bear hat if you have one (they have good mage defense). A god cape is also good, but I wear a spottier cape. I bring an ectophial and a 4 dose saradomin brew. Never been KOd since I had this setup; I've survived many attacks, even some instances of being tbd + entanged.

Well, I got 91 RCing with ZMI, and it's amazing experience - around 30k an hour for me. I made quite a lot of profit, too. Bought 50k p ess at a time and after I was done selling runes made an average of 10m+. For 56 RC I think it's around 20k exp an hour and you WILL come out with a modest profit. However, to achieve this you need to have completed Lunar Diplomacy to be able to use Ourina teleport, and you also need 72 magic for that spell. I'd suggest you continue to solo abyss run until 75. Like the above poster said, ZMI isn't really that much faster until 75.

test armadyl godsword costing 130m in the wildy! i would have never thought, its genious! It's called protect item. Search "armadyl" on Youtube, one of the first vids is a pking video using one.

Ha, well if someone had made a thread a week before the tournament update saying Jagex was going to remove staking in the manner that they did they would have been laughed at. In light of that new "update" I wouldn't put it past them. It does seem like they're putting in a lot of alternatives to the current trade system... but I can assure you, if they do indeed remove it, monster hunters will NOT be satisfied. If someone gets a hilt drop and can't share it... what are they supposed to do? Wait until they all get hilts?
