More moderators needed
The better question is, why do they need to? It's clearly a matter of choice, and from what I've read the only reason people want them to post more actively is to give the perception that there is an extremely active moderating team as a deterrent to spammers. I'm fairly certain that inappropriate and spam messages/topics will be posted regardless of whether or not we perceive an extremely active moderating team. I think you're being fairly demanding of people that volunteer their time on this forum.

Do You know about Tip.It's official chat?!
Call what as you see what? Fudgy posted a thread in support of #runescape. Considering the tip.it IRC was in existence while clan chat was still a twinkle in Andrew's eye, any support of an UNOFFICIAL chat under your irrational definition of sabotage is an attempt to undermine Tip.it IRC. Not to mention the fact that Lightning created the Tip.it IRC and had been quite a frequent visitor up until her leaving. You say that supporters have been spending their time dissing clan chat, when it was you who first came in spewing fire and brimstone about how we were trying to kill the clan chat, when Fudgy's post was instead a reminder of how a long-standing chat that people don't always remember is around. Where on earth does your mini-rant about us having responsibility come from? You seem to have trouble grasping how clan chat modding and IRC modding works. I have mod powers in IRC and zero clan chat powers, along with most of the operators in IRC, which means we couldn't "mod the ingame chat" even if we wanted to. Plus, saying you "stand by what you say" has zero answer to Cruiser's statement that many IRC mods don't even play Runescape, which sort of kills your contention that we're a bunch of lazy sleazebags that aren't doing their mod jobs. Perhaps you're angry because you came in this morning and no one talked to you:

Scooter Libby's prison sentence commuted
Just saw it on the news and it's absolutely stunning. President Bush basically handed Libby everything but a pardon. No jail, just 2 years of parole. If you don't know who libby is, just look up the undercover CIA officer debacle with Valerie Plame. In short- 1) Husband of undercover CIA officer gets mouthy about Bush administration 2) Bush administration leaks identity of CIA officer 3) Debacle ensues 4) Karl Rove dodges the bullet and Scooter Libby bites it for perjury 5) Scooter Libby gets sentenced to 2 years in jail 6) Appeals court says "yeah you're going to jail sorry" 7) Bush says "advance to go! collect only 2 years of parole!" This is amazing on so many levels- 1) It's political suicide 2) It's so wildly unethical it's mind boggling 3) I don't think there's a check on prison commutes by a president

24/29 May 2007 - Lores and Histories - Varrock's New Look
How so? I didn't believe that there would be a new skill, but how do you figure that creating theories makes someone look like an idiot? If trying to guess what an update will be like is what some people like to do, good for them, why feel the need to insult them by calling everyone who believed it would be a new skill idiots? Because every, and I do mean every single BTS there comes a massive wave of exaggerations that get plucked from every single word in the BTS, and people that don't take that with a grain of salt and get sucked into believing that blood crafting is coming out tomorrow really are hopelessly naive. It's not much of a stretch for me to use the term idiot, not to mention the fact that every single update i see Blacksimon crying like a baby in some form or another while trying to wittily make a sarcastic remark about an update that is in actuality EXTREMELY nice. Anyways, love the new varrock and the museum is awesome.

24/29 May 2007 - Lores and Histories - Varrock's New Look
Ahh, the sweet smell of exaggerated expectations that were fueled by nothing more than random rumors, thus making the believers in said rumors look like idiots. New museum looks amazing, Barihawk's probably going to cry with joy at all the extra runescape lore the museum has.

Search is worthless
Usually since you're going to be looking for a thread that is dedicated to what you're looking for (and not a post in an unrelated thread) just use 1) The "Search for all terms" button under your query box and 2) The "Search message title only" button Using those two usually nets me everything I want to find, and the message title only option lets you use broader terms in your search.

I'm going crazy and I suggest you join me...
It is quite likely, in fact, that the abyss being in the wilderness and the chance of being pked scares off enough potential nat crafters to help keep nat prices nice and high.

Question About The Top Players-This Isn't A Noob Post TBH
Uh, no. When tip it times posted something like an interview, that was consent, as opposed to the forum threads. But barring even an argument like that, posts about people specifically are generally spammy and useless, even if those threads aren't in a negative light. Gossip about anyone = spam.

Pass blocking - Part 2 of Jagex's update for fools
The amount of whining I see going on in general P2P, where people claim to be a few brain stems better than the kids on RsOF is stunning to the point of amusing. What's it to you if Jagex wants to prevent some 13 year olds from being tricked into typing out their passwords? I dare any of you complainers to think back to when you were 13 and honestly tell me you weren't the dumbest thing on the planet ever to be born. I'll help you right now- you were stupid, you were gullible, and so was everyone else when they were younger. The "yeah but they could be spending time with other updates" is countered by the fact that Jagex will now be recieving FEWER complaints and reports about scamming, luring, and whatever other nasty things happen to them. That means less work in customer support required and MORE UPDATES FOR YOU (even though you have no idea what kind of cushy life you have with rs2, rsc players got 1 update a month at the most and they were HAPPY about it). Seriously, if you pick this update to whine about, you're really no better than all the babies in the RSOF rant forums. Go yap with them if a security measure for kids bothers you so much.

Which Skill Takes The Most Gold To Actually Buy Outright
Despite the vagueness of the wording "buy outright".... To determine this, you judge each skill by the "outright" FASTEST POSSIBLE SPEED of getting a 99 in that skill, so- Smithing- You would buy the highest bars possible to smith into the item that uses the most bars (plates) Herblore- You would buy all the seconds, water-filled vials and herbs for the highest possible herbs you could make Mage- You cast probably ice barrage at PC games Construction- You literally trade gp for experience- you buy the highest planks, highest dungeon monster, magic stones, whatever. Prayer- You buy and gilded-altar Ourg Bones This thread doesn't say "whats most efficient" or ask "whats more efficient to train" because you don't assume the efficient ways of training because you can functionally train everything for free. Assuming that, Construction is by and far the most expensive skill to "buy outright".

It is a teamwork based game that centers around one thing: brewing rum. Players have 20 minutes to scramble around the game area as fast as they can to gather ingredients to make as many bottles of rum as possible. After 20 minutes are up, players are booted out of the game and rewarded with Pieces of Eight for their troubles, which they can then use to buy everything from navy clothes to flags and the mythical ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅStuff̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

prove your veteran status.
Correct. The guy at the anvils, Horvik(sp?) wasn't the armor changer. That person was south of the varrock east bank. Or was Horvik the name of the changer? Can't remember.

17-Apr-2007 Wilderness Ditch
Heres a wild suggestion for all the people crying about the update ruining runecrafting: 1) Get over it (tough one i know) 2) Don't runecraft through the abyss 3) Don't runecraft at all I know, I know, I sound like a psycho. But it's worth a shot.

a strange situation.....
If some of you naive youngsters think that Jagex won't notice that they've given out a year of membership for free you've got another thing coming. Best to report fast before they hit you with the bill.

Who damaged my signature?!?!?
Punishment? If you get this worked up when your signature for an internet forum gets slightly damaged, I would hate to see what happens when someone gets your order wrong when you go to a resturant. It was probably a small mistake. Think very deeply about how using TiF is a privilege, most definitely not a right, and that you're probably the one who owes the admins an apology for going berserk and demanding that someone be punished. Seriously, a small oopsie happened with signatures. If its that important to you, you should have done what Cruiser suggested and backed it up. The few minutes in reconstructing your signature are not in fact a hardship that just messed up your week. P.S. The fact that you first thought that an admin had it out for you is quite possibly the most egotistical statement I've ever seen....

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
In book 5, the part where Harry and I think Sirius are cleaning house, they run across something like "an old, heavy locket".
