05-Dec-2006-Treasure Trails, spiders and sheep
Golvellius replied to Kiriyama's topic in General Discussion
Hmm... level 65 3rd age armour. Could this be the day they killed dragon armour? A shield on the warrior set could be hot... Looks to me like fancy shiney things that will be worth rediculous prices but substandard to current barrows 3rd age weaponry. -
Before the achievement capes I would have said total. After the capes, I say 99s since you get a nice cape and emote to show off.
-
Fruits del mar would be my favorite.

What was your tot. lvl before becoming P2P
Golvellius replied to Al_Bhed's topic in General Discussion
I already played the game f2p for a little bit on another character. But, he got killed at the wizards outside of fally on the way looking for a bank. So, I made a new character and gave him members immediately. I think you can do that before you even go onto tutorial island so it was 0 total levels. -
Man its gotta stink to be the first to do things. Everybody and their cousin is trying to figure out how many hours you play and what kind of life you have. Instead of being congradulated for being the first, you are demonized as a nolifer and freak...

It was corrected (base xp halfed I think) after Jagex caught on to the fact that tons of players in rune armour were just autocasting crumble undead while being afk all day. The xp is more in line with the spell's level now, and the evil chicken soon appeared after all this autoing on monsters was discovered. ;)

Congrats on the baby, don't forget to introduce him/her to runescape. I'm sure it will still be around when they are old enough to play.
-
Bleh what a yucky month. Never do treasure trails and won't start now. Sounds like a good month to skill. Hope the 2 quests are better than they sound.

2,000 ess an hr? Thats way to generous on being able to do that. Its nearly impossible. I got big pouches, super energies, pick axe, and I did 1400-1500 in an hr one time. My dude won't move any faster. 2,000 ess an hr isn't realistic. Takes way more time. Get like 12k xp an hr in rc soloing the abyss and you should be exstatic or you were making deaths.

what are the 3 main things you do on RS?
Golvellius replied to softwarewiz's topic in General Discussion
Well at least you have a chance to be successful on the first two things. ;) I'm training a skill (currently agility), playing castlewars, or questing. -
Zammy potions arent predictable, sometimes they hit you sometimes not. Ogre rock cakes are the best since they hit 4 each time. You can get many of them you just have to bank 1 and steal again or drop the ones in your inventory while you steal. The game just won't let you steal one if one is in your inventory.

When I first started, I hadn't a clue what some prices were or where to look. I think the thing I most over paid for was 100k for blue dragonhide armour set.

Are Black Salamanders Any Good? Answer Might Shock You!
Golvellius replied to darkashuran's topic in General Discussion
Whip and dagger and scimitar are all the same speed look in the knowledge database for weapon speed if you can't see it in game. Doesn't look like a useful weapon since each shot is 15 tar and 1 harrlander.... :wall: -
Whats hard and whats not is a preference thing and differs for each person. Being a slow skill alone doesn't make it hard in my mind. Here are the skills I find hard. Agility: Constantly going around in circles as a monkey. You completely zone out at times because its so monotonous. Its a real challenge of mental endurance. And its slow, 48k an hr at ape atoll is about the best it gets. If I had't learned to surf the web and keep my monkey moving I would have never been able to go for 99. (97 atm) Minning: Click click click. 40k an hr at granite mining. You can't afk, and you just sit there and click. Wanna make money, gotta bank ores, and xp rate drops hard. Most mines are also terriblely laid out and you spent as much time walking as mining and you gotta fight for rocks. Herblore: I hate trading and I hate making gp. To get the stuff yourself takes a rediculous amount of time. Standing on respawn spots is just boring as can be. Then click click to put it all together. My worst skill. Smithing: You have one option really. Gold with the gloves. 50k an hr tops. Gold doesn't mine easy or sell cheap. Iron or steel are just plain horrible and like 10k an hr. Bleh! I can't get the raws, and its useless other than for that stupid armour stand in my skill room. God that ruins my perfect skill room.... Skills that I think are easy: All combat ones except prayer. Slayer: Its just pitifully slow or loads of people would have 99 already. Its combat for crying out load. 95% of runscapers love that, me included. WC/Fishing/Cooking: Afkable to the highest degree. Not even sure I'm playing runescape when I'm training these skills. Everything else I'm nuetral on, don't feel like writing an essay to say why.

Hoping it will be low and not come out till 07.

I doubt it. No one knows how to post anything except spam or flaming. Sorry. Would you stop posting your ruining a perfectly good topic with your stupid trolling. Wanna start over? Make a new account or beter yet play a different game. I think mountainclimbing could be a new skill for jagex since they insist on making skills. I'd rather see more emphasize on quests and adding new things to the skills we have.

Where is the info on these new salamander weapons and rat thing bombs? Can you use it without the hunter level? Are they even tradeable? Whats the max damage it does? How fast is it? 2hander, msb, crystal bow? Inquering maxed combat player looking to annilate cw noobs wants to know. ;)

Farming could have been better. Its only useful for getting herbs, some seconds, and a spirit tree in one of only 3 places. Getting food from farming failed miserabely. Tuna potatoes are still tied to fishing and butter just kills it for me. Also, getting seeds was a pain until they added farming to miscellania for me. The skill could use alot of work, like others... (agility, smithing, mining)

So how many Cape of Achievements are there? (it's 65,245)
Golvellius replied to primadog's topic in General Discussion
Only noted a couple of things. One, it was funny to see that prayer capes had the largest percentage increase. It doubled bascially. Looks like some rares were sold, and this was the merchants choice of 99s. Perhaps, this contributed to the supposedly depressed rare market. Also, could be attributed to the fact that you can get 250k xp per hr. Well prayer used to be a rare accomplishment, not anymore. Thieving seems low for beings such a fast and inexpensive skill to raise. Perhaps the lack of a exciting emote has driven down the demand for the cape. -
Pointless. Say you didn't get to play that week that the new runescape was created. Your already behind. You want another restart? You want to keep restarting till your #1? Runescape is more about fun less about being the first or number one in everything. Unless your obsessed with beating everybody like some people that quit recently...
-
The barrows one is funny as is the dharok baby one. The quality is fine with me not everything has to look like it was copied out of an anime show.
-
Congrats.. I think I may have bumped into over at ape atoll. I'm going for it myself, shooting for end of this month. I'll stop by if I don't get lost in my training.
-
I do them with pleasure. They have better drops than abyssal demons. The fact that they can kill you keeps it entertaining. :XD:
-
How do you train herblore with blamish oil? How do you make it? Kill a blamish snail and grind it up and stick it in a water-filled vial?
-
Sorry to see another person with unbelieveable stats just abandon all they did. Its unfortunate that you won't be able to retire to the life of a a casual player. But, that drive and focus that got you that far probably can serve some use in the real world as well. Best of luck, as runescape is a kinder, fairer place than the real world.
