Quests, for the most part, suck.
-
Besides the fact that Mod Emilee fails to note how long it takes to alch, and somehow thinks that people will ever stop killing nechs/spiritual mages, I think her overall point is fairly valid.
-
Not that this matters or anything, but a dragon defender-- coupled with, say, a chaos rapier/long-- would be ridiculously overpowered <_<
-
The 404k was a fake, how are people believing that? I was merely going off of what people were saying. If it's true that it's a fake, then that just highlights my point. People are making this a bigger deal then it really is, as few people have that many boots. I only had two pair, and I'm not even sure how I got those.
-
Much worse defense bonus.
-
Yet again, most of you are seriously overstating the number of people who have large amounts of climbing boots in their banks. For the most part, climbing boots weren't as common a PK'ing item as some people here seem to believe, generally relegated to low level pures, as most people used addy/rune/dragon boots whilst PK'ing. That guy who has 404K climbing boots is an anomaly. I can assure you that the avid PK'er probably has nowhere near that many, probably less then ten or so, if that, as very few people picked them up if they did happen to PK someone (They were about 20'ish gold from Tenzig, iirc). I feel comfortable in saying that this will have no effect long-term on the Runescape economy. The only reason it'll have some effect short-term is because of people making a mountain out of the proverbial molehill.

Quiet Before the Swarm 24-Jun-2010 & Free to play quest changes

I used to have thousands of climbing boots way back when. Oh well. -
Slightly off-topic, but the fact that a shield left half is still a "very rare drop" annoys the hell out of me, because it's more or less useless. Way back when, getting a shield left half was a big deal. Now, it's about as exciting as seeing a half key, and worth just about as much. Either Jagex should make them much more common, or they need to go back to the proverbial drawing board and do something with them that makes them not useless. The same for d-meds, though I feel that ship has long since sailed.

Next time I get an abby task, I'll tell you.

It's time for a mage based boss. As far as I'm concerned, DK's don't count.
-
My only gripe with mage is that it uses runes, and that the only way to reduce the amount of runes you use is to use a SoL or some battle robes. As it is, I blow through about 1M+ worth of runes a day, depending on how much I play.

Oh look! A player mod! He must be a jerk and reports people all the time!

I don't dislike player mods, just the idea of making players moderators. -
High level [bleep]S thinking they're entitled to stealing worlds
Sly_Wizard replied to Nomrombom's topic in Rants
If one's own personal enjoyment is more important then someone else's enjoyment, more specifically how it affects another, then shouldn't scamming be legal under the same rationale? Similar to how there's always someone smarter then you on the internet, there will always be someone in Runescape better then you. The irony here is that you say that you don't want to be looking at a waiting screen and want to kill some DK's, crashing someone is need be, yet if someone better then you showed up at DK's and used the same logic, you'd be forced to world hop, looking at the waiting screen in the process. Which kind of begs the question as to why you'd subject someone else to something which, admittedly, you wouldn't like being subjected to yourself? Seems kinda'... Hypocritical, don't you think? Also, this whole "training more then someone else entitles you to that spot" is utterly ridiculous. How do you figure? -

And the above is a good reminder as to why the Runescape community sucks. It's too bad that most player's combat levels are higher then their IQ's. I guess being a higher level then someone else and having the ability to annoy them makes one's e-penor grow 10x in length. Yaya it's a game, I play it for fun. And if it involves making little kids cry and rage, why not? This thread seems to have a lot of people suffering from what I call "high level delusions". That is, they think they're entitled to annoy someone else on the basis of being a higher level, or simply because they can, which involves a very high level (Hah!) of ignorance. Doing something to someone simply because you can is, quite honestly, juvenile thinking. But given Runescape's player base, it shouldn't be all that much of a surprise. *shrugs* Anyway, to everyone lambasting the OP, tell me when and where you train, so I can show up and make your life a living hell. Because, I assure you, I can do it, regardless of your combat level. Then, afterwards, come back to this thread and tell everyone how happy you are about it. -

But that's neither here nor there, really. -
The first video made me lol at the parts where he had a friend use the d-spear special to push the other guy away while he froze them. That's borderline cheap, if you ask me.
-
They don't bother me in the slightest. It's the same way in real life. No one is making you buy anything.
-
Yeah, 'cuz who would ever think about making the wild dangerous? Anyway, the whole "if you make it so people can PK on every world it'll be harder to find fights and/or abuse the system" is a cop-out. The first because PK'ers tend to gather on a specific world to PK, as was the case before PK designated world. This wouldn't change if PK'ing was made available on every world. The only thing that would change is that you'd now have a few stragglers out PK'ing on the non-designated PK worlds. The vast majority of PK'ers would still PK on, say, world 18. The second because you can easily abuse the system right now, if you so choose (By that, I mean 76K'ing), without breaking so much as a sweat. Really, there's no reason not to do this except for the fact that some people like being able to run around the wilderness with very little risk posed to themselves. Edit: And, totally off-topic, I'd rather the old wilderness with the old drop system back.

If you are buying, you could probably buy an onyx for around 90-100m, then use that junk to sell 3-4 sets of battle robes easily, if the junk is awful. Could probably sell it all with 2 sets if you get a lot of stable junk in the initial trade and sell that 50/50. Off-topic but you are a fool and the prayer drain is almost unnoticeable, it's much less prayer drain than someone smiting you. This, its like 1 p pot to reduce 900 some damage, cheaper then healing w/ sharks. I want DSS, prefer its looks to ely. If it's one p-pot to reduce 900 damage, you're better off using sharks.

Here's my current "luck" streak over the past two days. Why it won't translate into a d-large from miths, I'll never know. (Of course, I don't consider myself lucky on that d-chain. I've been killing dusties since I was 92 defense, and did them almost exclusively from 95 - 99 defense.)

I'm not sure I like how Jagex rallied their playerbase to vote <_< last time How did they rally their player base to vote last time?
