Congratulations tip.it
Yea, and we clear out old, useless, posts from time to time to empty the database a bit which also lowers (or raises) our ranking.

Rejecting One Reality, Just To Find Another
I think this is a good point. So many people I hear talking about "working towards" their goals, or complaining about spending hours and hours clicking to get to a certain level. In fact, a lot of Runescape speech is the same kind of speech that would be used in a working environment. Especially talk about experience per hour and wanting to use time efficiently, and the people who don't want to "waste their time" doing quests or doing activities that aren't rewarding in terms of experience or gp. If you want a job, I suggest getting one in "real life". It pays more. To clarify, I'm not saying that everyone is playing RS as if it is a job, just that people need to step back and make sure that they're not one of them. Exactly. It's why I quit playing. I was too focussed on "goals". I started up again because I found out a coworker of mine (real job :P) plays. So now we play after work when we're too dog tired to go out and I actually enjoy it.

Party Hats - Future Prices
Yea, maybe if one merchant stopped buying them, there might be some kind of domino effect and just crash party hats (UNLIKELY?!?!?) But I don't think they'll drop tons if anything like that would happen, some merchanters who couldn't afford it before now can, so then there would be more merchanters buying again, raising the price again. But I don't know what could happen, I'm not really good with predicting things. They wouldn't drop... they'd probably enter into a repeating cycle of small ups and downs, surrounded around a central, never-changing value.

Politics and Religion
So there's something "wrong" about caring about people whom you loving, and therefore caring about their salvation? If someone believes when they die some are going to Heaven, and some are going to Hell - and they want the person they love to be in Heaven with them - that's wrong? In that case whats wrong with caring for someones mental health who talks to invisible beings, and wanting this person they love to be rational? GhostRanger has shown himself to be much more rational than you (he back up his opinions with evidence and logic). It doesn't take a genius to realize that he is in great mental health.

Do YOU believe in God?
Since this discussion has turned towards a Christianity debate, I think we can just use the existing thread on religion. If I see any flaming on that thread, it's getting locked.

Try chaos druids (level 13), in edgeville dungeon. It's in level 1-3 wild, but people very very rarely get attacked.

worst sunburn ever
In the summer, I always burn really bad my first time in the sun, and then I get a very nice tan after that. This year, after my burn, if I were to brush my shoulder with my hand, it would snow dead skin...

Do YOU believe in God?
Of course Mary didn't have ancestors. Where does the Bible describe Mary's genealogy? The genealogy of Jesus in Matthew and the one in Luke both give his heritage through Joseph. Those are the only two that I know of. I wasn't making a claim that Mary came from David. I just said that it was possible.

In that case... we're all going to hell. According to the Bible we're all sinners.

It would appear that Romans killed Christians because Nero was a loser :P not because it threatened their religion.

Do YOU believe in God?
I completely agree with this. My point was merely that I'm sure other people "of the day" have other opinions as well - you just selected the opinions you agreed with. Even though they were representatives of the church and policy makers, I disagree with them. The church has a pretty sick history, but that is in spite of the Bible and Christian principles, not because of them. Don't believe me? Pick up a New Testament sometime, I'm sure you'll find that the church rarely follows Christian principles, which is pretty sad.

Do YOU believe in God?
Anyone can find any quote to back up their claim. Just saying "this famous person said this", doesn't make it true. Your post of quotes is just as empty as his refutation. Unless the person in the quote itself proves their opinion, it's completely worthless. As for quotes from "the other side"; not only are they irrelevant (a bad Christian can say things completely opposite to the heart of Christianity), but I could find quotes just like that from atheists.

Do YOU believe in God?
God is 'feeding' the universe energy? But energy can't be created or destroyed. How would this work? It seems to violate the conservation law. Please explain it to me, because I fail to understand where you're coming from. Nothing exists outside of the universe, so if God were to actually exist, he would have to exist within the universe. If God existed within the universe, I don't see how it would be possible for him to be omnipresent, as space and time exist entirely within the universe. Could you explain this as well? As far God feeding the universe energy, I was talking pre-Big Bang - as in, where did the energy from the Big Bang come from? You mean nothing physical exists outside of the universe. Except Godzira talked about some sort of multidimensional reactions, but I won't go there. The point is, God isn't a physical being, so there's no way you can possibly say where and where not God can reside. DBP: You made a number of points, I'm not sure which you're talking about. If it was the 2nd law point, that's fine. In my 1st year chemistry course it was about entropy, not heat (well, not entirely. Gibb's free energy equation included both heat and entropy) - and in the definition it refers to entropy. Where does this come into it?

Best way to learn an instrument?
If you want to eventually learn multiple instruments, then start with piano. And I mean hardcore - theory, notation, chords, etc. Then after you've mastered piano, you can pick up any instrument in a week.

Death cab for cutie
I love this band. I've got five of their albums so far (they have 6 full and 2 EPs I think?), and "We have the facts and we're voting yes", is my favourite so far. Favourite songs include: Company Calls Title Track Brothers on a Hotel Bed Summer Skin A Movie Script Ending Debate Exposes Doubt Coney Island We Looked Like Giants... Okay, I'll stop. They're all awesome, but those 8 are definitely up there.

Do YOU believe in God?
Wow, this is quite an impressive argument. After taking a year of physics and understanding entropy, I was bothered by it. But wow, I can't believe I couldn't understand that entropy could in fact be a proof of God's existence. Kudos to you man, this is an mazing theory. You oughta consider publishing some kind of argument based on this. Yeah...I'm really impressed. P.S. After reading over my post I realized it could sound slightly sarcastic, it isn't...I really am amazed by insane's reasoning. Science really isn't my strong spot, so I wouldn't consider that my best reasoning, but, thanks anyways I guess :P
