  1. This is really a problem people don't seem to realize, too. If you have to pay max cash for some of this t90 stuff, what happens when t95 comes out? First of all, what kind of utter madness will you have to subject yourself to in order to obtain the item? I mean, Barrows looks like it has extremely high KO potential, and Vorago kills take 15-20 minutes each. Are we soon to have legitimate raid bosses, that actually take an hour or longer per kill? Then, how much will it cost? Eventually, things will start being traded solely in terms of spirit shards because the values are so far over max cash that it's simply easier to just represent it all in spirit shards. If you have paid any attention to how things have always been, by the time new stuff comes out the price of those items has greatly depreciated. see virtus wand. see torva. Need I continue? You just agreed with me. You have no idea what the prices were, do you.

  3. I understand what you are asking for. What I'm saying that it isn't possible from a business view. The part that I was saying that you ignored was this, which I posted: the point of this game is to get people playing as long as possible. So far, it has worked very well, so much that people who are saying it is impossible to get X item will stay play despite that belief. The fact that people have these complaints about the game not being fun yet still continue to play and discuss it is remarkable. It is definitely possible from a business perspective. In Runescape's own history what we are asking for has been true, and in other games it is also true that top gear is reasonably obtainable. So your assertion that it isn't possible is flat out false. Most games don't require playing for hundreds of hours for one item. Also, this unreasonable requirement doesn't encourage people to get Seismics, it only discourages them -- so how would that increase business? It wouldn't. Most of us are serious players and we will continue playing Seismics or no Seismics, the only question is whether we will try getting them. If they are reasonably obtainable, we will, if not, we won't. It has nothing to do with business. How is a weapon that only like 5% RS can afford and will bother trying to earn good for business? If anything, for something to be good for business, it has to appeal to wide demographics, not a minority of players. There is nothing remarkable or contradictory in partaking in a game or community or activity while simultaneously trying to improve it through critique. Nothing whatsoever. We do it because we like RS and think it could do so much better. It's that simple. I really don't understand where you are getting the only 5% can afford from. Everyone can afford it if they put in the time like the apparent 5% have. Seismics will also drop soon, they will not stay that price, much like nex items. Don't bother. They will cry until it gets affordable with no help by them, then cry again when something new comes out. Even if it hasn't happened for 7+ years (it totally has, but whatever), this is exactly what's going on.
  4. One reason is because Div has been a huge focus for a lot of people too, many who did vorago. Also It's because people would rather complain than spend that time doing it. But don't take it from me. I've already been implied to be greedy cheater mercher whatever who plays 24/7.

  6. Firstly, this argument is not 7+ years old because Jagex didn't always insist on such a ridiculous standard. Believe it or not, Runescape was once quite a reasonable thing, with regards to its requirements. As for what we plan to do, we plan to criticize this as we have been doing in the hopes that Jagex will listen. Not only is this our right, but it is also a completely constructive activity and one, which Jagex theoretically approves of and welcomes. You seem to forget how much abyssal whips and barrows were. And rares have always been something unreachable to many. Yes, this argument is very old, it just doesn't seem that way. It comes up every time something big is released and the price doesn't drop fast enough. Last time it was Nex stuff. Don't worry guys, maybe in 2 years when seismics are at alch price you can get some, since it seems no one wants to actually try and get them.
  7. Understood. Then what do people plan on doing about it? Complaining like they have for the past 7+ years? I've heard this same tired argument over and over again every time something was expensive. All I see is complaining, no solution making. I'm done complaining. Say whatever you want to say about me, but sitting here isn't going to change anything.
  8. Stop whining, you loser. Don't you know that cool people can not only afford to throw hundreds of hours of their life for one in game item, but more over that they actually enjoy doing this? Funny, because you are quoting the guy who sunk hundreds of hours into perfecting how to kill Jad on many different types of accounts in many different ways. All for one item also, technically. Not only did he do that to help other people, but he did it voluntarily (there was no in game requirement forcing him to do it several times), and because he found it fun, and because at that point in his life he could play quite a bit of Runescape (I believe he works 60-70 hours weekly now). So it's not even a relevant or accurate point. It is in no way comparable to Jagex's ridiculous insistence whereby everyone is forced to play several hundred hours on activities they don't particularly for, so that they can access top gear. Nice ad hominem derailment though. Don't make assumptions about other people when you don't know them. It's fine, because you are also assuming that 1) people are forced 2) nobody is having fun 3) no one can play quite a bit of runescape, and you are ignoring everything else I posted, and when you reply you will probably ignore everything here too. We can all make fallacies and assume wrong together.

Funny, because you are quoting the guy who sunk hundreds of hours into perfecting how to kill Jad on many different types of accounts in many different ways. All for one item also, technically. And this kinda of response is where people are as dense as a brick wall and do not get the point: The point is not we are 'whining' or could just be doing it or people 'cheating,' its not even whether or not we are or are not making the money. The point is we SHOULDN'T have to spend hours doing something we don't enjoy, we SHOULD be able to earn equally regardless of what avenue of the game we enjoy the most. If we all just accept the unbalanced status quo and make do and say nothing how do we expect it to get fixed? Except that doesn't work for any game. There will always have to be something in the way, whether or not you enjoy it, to get the best items in any game. Also, you forget that the point of this game is to get people playing as long as possible. Even without you getting the best items, and even though you are mad, you still are playing right? If you had all the best items, there is less of a chance of you playing. It's just how it works. And it's funny how I didn't include in my original statement that I barely play and when I do it's not even a crazy amount, so everyone assumes I play runescape like it's a full time job. Meanwhile if I log in, many of the people I see complaining will be on at that given moment. Now how about that? It took time yes, but I still got what I wanted. No one has patience, it's all about instant gratification.
  10. See I used to be like you guys, complaining about prices of items. Then I took all the energy wasted in complaining and did something about it. Now bring on the people saying I cheated or merched or staked or bought gp or whatever. I did none of that. Also bring on the people saying I'm lucky or whatever. Are prices insane? Yes. But unlike real life you can do something about it.
  11. Ahhhh, ok. If it was making fun of him then glad its gone. I thought you'd had a video removed that was just him winning the award. It way literally just that. The comments were bad though. Video was the exact thing shown in the stream, no edits.
  12. He's probably jealous and wanted the video taken down, or wanted Suomi to win or something.
  13. Yeah they don't like Jake for some reason. The guy ran miles to get to that stage and he finally made it just on time for his acceptance speech.
  14. What none of you understand is the reason why the idea is terrible is not because of the token cost, but because it completely devalues PvM. I'm not saying item drop prices are by any means reasonable, but she proposed having items of the same strength that only LOOKED different. Considering I can get 1m tokens in a day (I have before, it's possible), PvM would become completely useless. Methinks her idea was for one or two reasons: 1) She wants more people doing DG 2) She wants more people to sell floors to because she is one of the leaders of a DG clan and people will buy from them if they want cheap lvl 90 items.
  15. The girl who proposed that idea to have lvl 90 weapons and stuff obtainable through DG had the worst idea ever proposed. I wanted to slap her through the screen.
  16. It's the middle of the night so you won't get an announcement. I lost torva last time this happened, shit happens
  17. I find it funny how people who aren't anywhere near maxed or have barely a 99 are supporting this system, both here and on RSOF.
  18. But that also brings the question what mortal can use ONLY the stone and end up doing that? And don't say the player, thats some bs. The reasons why the gods want the stone so much is because they already have power more than the power you had when you used the stone.
  19. I chose godless faction because there was no guthix faction, but they are seriously underpowered. One human with the stone doesn't equal a god either. Years
  20. Nostalgia. That's all really. It's possible that many of the people even saying that have never even played in 2005.
  21. Who said anything about skipping? There will be two updates next week. I doubt it. The last few times this has happened the update for that week was pushed back.
  22. Love people in this thread grasping at straws. Most skills are useless except to get a cape. You can make money faster doing some things that don't require skilling.
  23. If you don't have a comp, you are low leveled. High levels have trimmed comp. Just saying.
  24. 2007scape was better, they said. 2007scape community would be better, they said.
  25. You guys didn't even mute spambots when they flooded every world. You guys have always been useless.
