  1. Upload your image then choose the Advanced Linking Options and copy the link. Now go to your profile and scroll down to signature. In there put this; [img=the link you copied] Of course change the link to the link you copied.
  2. I second this one. Never had any issues on XP or Vista.
  3. Wasn't there a bug in which you could disassemble items so that when the time ran out or the lender logged out you kept the disassembled items?
  4. Just read thought the new posts and they reminded me of a project I was looking into. I've just looked it up again and it looks like something you might be interested in. Its call Linux from scratch (link), its a guide and resources on how to build up your own Linux. I'm sure if you have the time you could create your ideal low spec OS.
  5. It depends on the site/function of the password. Normally for forums I keep them short and sweet, why over complex things which have 0 monetary value. Other things like ftp, admin and other important accounts get atleast 8 chars (letter) with 3 or more numbers mixed in. I'm always wary about writing them down or saving them in a file as if you loss the paper or someone/thing infects your PC you can have major issues.
  6. Then again rock crabs give a lot of charms. So if summoning is on his todo list then it would save him more time.
  7. Nice guide, its about time I started mole killing on my current account. Here's a few things you might want to note. *Monk robes offer slightly less bonus but weight a lot less saving energy (If your low lvl its helps a lot). *If your Dharoking you can put out your light for a second or two, let your health drop and light back up. *The bullant sculls do the exact same as the terrorbirds
  8. I used monk robes all the way (ok full d'hide on the boss) , it helps save energy (you have to run a lot). For the last boss just magic protect and safe stop his melee attacks (its very easy). IMO the hardest bit is the damn puzzle at the start.
  9. The sword plus obby shield or rune defender. Then take 2 super sets about 3 or 4 bones to peaches tabs and 2/3 of the remaining room with food. I would also take high alch runes too. If you have the slayer helm then use the pol(sp) dungeon otherwise slayer cave/dungeon and black mask. You should easily be able to do it in one sitting as along as you only collect kwaum or rannars and alch drops. I've tried ranging them before, but at my lvl's I hit harder with the sword, obby shield and black mask. If you ignore most of my post then do one thing "take bones to peaches" it will have you at least one bank trip.
  10. Personally I would try Puppy Linux, its a lot more user friendly then DSL (try running the embedded version inside your OS and you'll see what I mean). Having said that DSL has a lot more apps then Puppy Linux. Then again I've heard very good things about slitaz. When you start looking at mini-linux distro's you need to decide exactly what you want it to do. I'm currently working my way through Wikipedia's list of mini-distros (link), they all have there ups and downs, its more preference then anything.
  11. Ok. Where to start..... First off don't buy the cpu, mobo and ram just yet. Wait for the i7's to be released as soon as they are those parts will drop in price by a lot. DVD drive - that very over priced. You should be looking at $57 for 2. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6827118012 /\ basically the same for half the price Powersupply seems like a big over kill without your sli'ing or triple sli'ing. Processor get a lower model Q9550 (or Q9400) and overclock it. Hard drive, for the money your looking to spend get one raptor for the OS and either 500gb or 1tb for data. Sound card, this is really down to personal preference. IMO you most likely won't need any more then the mobo's on-board. Graphics card, I would go with a 4870x2 on your budget. Case, if your going for a "gamer" case look at the gamer 900 or 1200 from Antec. If your like me and want something which looks nice and not "gamer" tacky then the 182 also from Antec would be my choice. Fans, Scythe are great for airflow/noise ratio. For flashy fans Arctic Cooling make some nice ones. Heatsink, noise/performance comes into play a lot here. Don't forget to budget the OS, Monitor, keyboard and mouse.
  12. This one is the fastest. Even when using a war tortoise? (I'm not being sarcastic, just wondering out of curiosity) I would have though it would be dead close since your mining nearly twice the amount before banking.
  13. Tough call, but I would use the best BoB you have and use the yanille/port kazard method. You get more per run saving time in the long run.
  14. Depends what you class as hardcore/extremist slayers. From about 55 melee stats I've been training melee almost solely slayer. And as you can see I'm just one slayer level below you and about 7 combat levels below you. Heres a few pointers I learnt (ok most of them if not all are common knowledge); *Black mask is godly, its the best 400k I've spent. *Bones to Peaches tabs are worth a great deal on certain tasks as they let you stay there for a lot longer (better then guthans in some cases). *Always use super attack and strength potions *Always take high alch runes. *Without you need the extra food, save your BoB pouch until your inventory is full of worthwhile drops. Above all remember faster kills = faster exp. If a task costs you 50k more but can be finished in half the time, spend the 50k. You can easily make the cash up later.
  15. This is a quick mock up (literally took 30 minutes using that code I gave up) http://www.joedastudd.co.uk/files/BGChanger.zip You create a list of files (using the add button) to loop through set the delay between changes (in seconds) then press start. Looking at how easy it is to do and the possible number of upgrades/additions I think I'll start putting some real effort into it.
  16. First of all use up all the the long and curved bones you have (I had enough to get me from 30 to 37 when I started training construction).
  17. That rule is the only one I don't understand how they can enforce/monitor. The only methods they can use could easily be bypassed or get false readings. If there monitoring by whether or not your viewing the ad; What about if your at a cyber cafe or other monitored place which blocks such ads? What if you don't have flash installed or can't install flash? What about people with download caps? etc, etc There are too many variables for it to be a valid/enforceable rule IMO. Before anyone says I'm encouraging others to break this rule or any other, I'm not. This is merely my view on this rule. If a mod feels they want to edit, delete or do anything to this post feel free.
  18. PSP with custom firmwire if you can get one. If not Xbox 360 The games are ok on the PSP but where it shines is the homebrew.
  19. I would just make them into scrolls (same with granite crabs) then trade them in for shards. The effort of trading them in as pouches is way greater then the rewards, whereas scrolls only take 1 place making them much more worth while
  20. Just another bug that took a while to ween out. Here's a 2 which lasted more then a day since I started playing again about 5 months ago; *When quick chat was released there was the option to say "buying a 9mm revolver" (not sure if it was revolver, gun or pistol) *When PvP came out you could did poison damage when using plain knives (lasted about 2 days for me atleast) I only tested in in non PvP worlds. There bound to be a few bugs in the PvP system as its a big system. Jagex was lucky they found it before one of the PvP programmers left. Love the response they gave about the Kill Count and Barrows "the programmer who designed that part of the game has left so we're not entirely sure about it"
  21. Try putting some sugar near the egde of the screen (a few mm away and see if it wants to come get it). Love the pic and love the topic. I think its a mutant ant created via the radiation from the monitor. PS. Call him Fred or Dave
  22. The only way I can see it being possible is to start doing something they should have from the start. Give real negative bonus' on armour. Range -> Gives negative melee/magic bonus' Magic -> Give negative range/melee bonus' Melee -> Gives negative range/magic bonus' They already do but not as much as they should. Look at black dhide you can hit as hard in it as you can in guthans or torags (bodys and legs) If they were to rebalance the negatives that would allow for higher level armour which gives less of a negative bonus.
  23. Just had a look over the difference in slayer task monsters and it looks like Chaeldar has more fast tasks then Summona. Which makes the points and exp come quicker. But then again Summona give 2 more points. I was just about to ask a similar question, but having looked at the monsters I'll stick the Chaelder. The monsters are lower levelled making for easier tasks letting me finished them in 1 sitting without the need to bank. Plus I love Harpie Bug Swarms as they drop so many fire runes and coins, not to mention them being such a quick task. [hide=Summonas Monster List]* Aberrant Spectres * Abyssal Demons * Banshees * Basilisks * Black Demons * Blue Dragons * Bloodvelds * Cave Crawlers * Cave Horrors * Dagannoths * Dust Devils * Elves * Fire Giants * Gargoyles * Greater Demons * Hellhounds * Iron Dragons * Kalphites * Kurasks * Nechryaels * Red Dragons * Scarabite minions * Spiritual Mages * Spiritual Warriors * Shadow Warriors * Terror Dogs * Trolls * Turoths * Warped Tortoises[/hide][hide=Chaelder Monster List]* Aberrant Spectres * Banshees * Basilisks * Blue Dragons * Bloodvelds * Brine Rats * Bronze Dragons * Cave Crawlers * Cave Horrors * Crawling Hands * Dagannoths * Dust Devils * Elves * Fever Spiders * Fire Giants * Gargoyles * Harpie Bug Swarms * Infernal Mages * Jellies * Jungle Horrors * Kalphites * Kurasks * Lesser Demons * Mutated Zygomites * Shadow Warriors * Trolls * Turoths * Warped Tortoises[/hide]
  24. [hide=Fixed guide] [/hide] Enjoy. Not there are numerous things wrong with that guide. If your using more then 3 prayer pots then your doing something wrong. If you've not done desert treasure, but have started fairy tale part 2 the fairy ring DLS is lot faster then the mentioned method. I prefer to use house tele, mounted glory to edgeville bank and fairy ring to house tele canfis run to bank, bank, run back towards the pub.
  25. This is rather painful, as I can only manage about 45 Kills an hour, at green dragon. Oh well thanks for your help. Sounds like a good method With your stats you should be able do to 1 trip every 15 minutes. Wear full proselyte (and any prayer gear you have), anti-dragonfire shield and take a antifire pot and p pot. Use the bounty hunter tele (games necklace) and run to the chaos tunnels. Its one room away so just melee protect and drink the anti dragon fire potion and start killing. Now to get out of there use lumby tele (or house if you have alter and mounted glory) then use games necklace to tele to bounty hunter bank (a sip of super attack and strength helps speed up the kills) and repeat. With a BoB (only bull ant) and house alter I get about 70 bones per hour (thats picking up any 2k + drops and charms), I sell the dhides to buy more p pots and antifire pots and still profit. Not to mention a lot of prayer exp. There's a full guide on how to kill green dragons in the player made guides section.
