Oh, you have found humourous references in Runescape. Look a little harder and you will find that the entire game is built around humourous references. If you are American, you may have to work a little harder because Jagex is a British company, and they use a lot of British humour

Personally, I couldn't give a fig about 'pures'. I rarely venture into 'Wildy', if I do its only to do a clue scroll (so I'll be carrying bugger all), or to craft a couple of K nats (so I'll be carrying bugger all). As I see it, pure PK'ers can only be doing the game a service by driving the economy (players get PK'ed, lose their stuff and have to earn it back). I'm a skiller, I farm, herblore, craft etc. which means that I hardly ever spend anything, in fact I sell more than I buy, so from an economists point of view, I could be seen to be more harmful to the game than a PK'er. Should we start a new thread to discuss if skillers are harmful to the game?

While we are on the subject of grammar/spelling, is there any chance that Tip.It could introduce an English version of Tip.It. (That's English as in 'realise' not 'realize'; 'colour' not 'color' ), so that I don't keep getting red underlines in my posts? Wait, don't answer that, its 'NO' isn't it?

Absolutely. We all know its Christmas, so all of Runescape should know its Christmas too. The only problem we are running into here is that not all 'Scapers' are Christian. i.e. where is the Runescape 'Ramadan event'?, the Runescape 'Yom Kippur' event? I'm agnostic so I'm just playing Devil's Advocate here, I don't care which religious event we celebrate, but I DO think that Jagex need to start being aware of the potential ramifications of excluding certain religious groups in this ever-more litigious society. DISCUSS....

Well, I suppose pures could be seen as an abuse of imperfections in the combat equation. You're not seriously suggesting that Jagex would be bothered by that are you?

Exactly. Always give, never lend. If you are in a position to provide a 'friend' with something they profess to need, and you can afford to give it to them, then (If you feel happy about it) do so, if not then explain your reasons and withold your generosity. If they really are a 'Friend', your generosity will be repaid - probably with interest, if not then you have cost yourself some money, but saved some time and future money by revealing to yourself a 'non-friend'.

I feel I must apologise for muddying the waters here. Clearly the original post was talking about weapons released this year but I have confused the issue by mentioning the Rubber Chicken. In which case I have to give my my vote to the Black Salamander for its Barrows ownage!

So you've done DT with a handful of HP. What advantage do you get from this in the game? Disadvantages include: low level CW noobs get to brag about one-hitting an ancients mage. Seriously, I really don't understand what the big deal is about who can complete a quest at the lowest level, given help from their food-dropping friends. Do it on your own and get a proper sense of achievement.

I don't think any holiday update is gonna be worth any player effort unless it allows us to interact with 'the game' and 'other players' beyond the duration of the event. I.e. the 'rubber chicken'. What a great reward that was!. Compare this to the 'Easter ring'. Fun for a few hours but then everyone has seen it and we all say ' Whatever....' We can all befuddle a newb by changing into an egg, but nothing beats the confusion generated by being smacked round the head with an artificial fowl.

hmm, seeing as how I just came back from a long Runescape break from before construction - that never occured to me Looks like I'm off to build a house. You have GOT to build a house! They are so good in so many ways. OT home tele, kharyl portal, myreque shortcut is THE method now. That's why I'm blowing a fortune to get 61 Con. -.-
