  1. Yup broad-tipped bolts are good for people on a budget but then again you seem to not have 55 Slayer level required for using them. EDIT: oh wait thats referring to Broad arrows; not too sure about Broad-tipped bolts though.. EDIT2: Got this from the Rune Wikipedia and double-confirmed with JAGeX's Manual "A recent update has made Broad-tipped bolts only usable by players with a slayer level of 55 and a ranging level of 50."
  2. Orange circles are Baby Geckos Green circle is adult green geckos Blue circle is blue adult geckos Lastly, Red arrow shows the general direction where to find the red adults. Somewhere near a small pond and a tree icon on the map.

I leave a tab in my bank specially for Treasure Trails clue items; usually those hard/troublesome to get items like HAM clothing, gnome clothing etc. For items that I can smith or make on my own like those iron/steel/mithril shields or platebodies, I usually dump them after doing the clue.
  4. i agree with Mournings End 3; pretty interesting storyline. Actually it'd be great if they continue the story for some quests like the one about Dorgeshuun's Zanik, and maybe a Grandmaster Quest for the release of Dragon Kiteshield or something. I am sure most people will love it. Oh and mining needs an overhaul like maybe instead of one ore per rock, make it like about 4 to 5 ores per rock; something like Woodcutting whereby the ore veins don't get empty everytime an ore is mined. Higher level rocks like Adamantite and Runite perhaps keep it as 1 ore per rock or something. :? Yeah someone mentioned Eastern Lands in the earlier posts. With new lands comes new weapon types? The katana comes to mind since the guy at Port Phasmatys is wielding one already and it looks pretty sweet ;) Also someone mentioned more character customisation; perhaps the option to change the height or something? It'll make for an interesting update.
  5. Hope I made it in time ~~ here's my pix. Forum name: Teng URL: http://img386.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... terkf1.png :)
  6. :o When I solved for y=0, my x was -0.600? =P I guess I am not a math person. I let X= 1-(x*0.01) by the way and tried to solve on paper (I aint any good with programming or Excel) and that was the answer I got. Do I do a summation of profits to decide the break-even point or something? I got my equation to something like this: y+75000 = [(567)(X*44) + (560)(X*44) + (40)(X*625)].. Isn't there a need to multiply something to the Cost of flax since I thought they collect about 600 per day? If I did (40*600) before that, my X turns out to be 0.753 and my x=24.7 days. EDIT: Oh wait, after I posted this I noticed my mistake; I was multiplying the cost that takes the kingdom to produce the fishes instead of multiplying it with the selling price  I gonna try work it again.. EDIT2: Ok here is my newer equation.. when y=0 y+75000 = [(1200)(44X) + (1000)(44X) + (40)(625X)] -> 75000 = 121800X -> X = 0.616 => (1-0.01x) = 0.616 .'. x = 38.4 days :? Asianboy's 145 days makes me feel as if my answer is incorrect :XD: ah nvm..
  7. Thanks for fixing it, it's working now~ I am using I.E 7. As for the alternate route using Burgh de Rott Ramble, it's good for people who don't have or do not want to waste inventory space for a druid pouch to protect their food or running away from ghasts (all these running lowers the energy). Also, combat events on Route-1 can be evaded all the time, save for those non-combat ones like e.g river crossing. In case of meeting ghasts along the way in Route-1, it's suggested that no food be brought along the Ramble since Burgh's bank is a short sprint away anyway. Or if the player is game for some warm-up, the enemies along the route can provide it : Blue route is Burgh de Rott Ramble's Route-1; Yellow route is when the player goes to drop off their token or to get stuff from the bank. P.S: Players looking to recharge prayer can also use Temple trekking to go back to Paterdomus. In fact, Temple-trekking mini-game is a good way to travel to and fro from the temple to Burgh de Rott and vice versa.
  8. Thanks to all who answered so far and thanks randox for writing out the equation~ I think I do understand a little bit on those calculations there. Anyway what's the 0.01? Is it referring to the percentage drop? Like how much it drops daily since x=number of days passed? And what is the 50000 and 1131.2 referring to? Sorry for asking too much :D but I am really trying my best to understand this equation. It seems like I have to calculate this for every day till I make a loss to know how much money to place in there. I am placing 5 workers to pick flax and 10 to help with fishing. I am guessing there's two factors involved here: the daily deduction of 75k gp and the dropping of approval rating by 1% each day? Under what circumstances do the cost of gathering produce becomes greater than their selling price? Due to the approval rating? Or not enough funds for deduction? The resource prices that the workers buy are fixed right, regardless of ratings? On Tipit, flax is 40 ea, tunas are ~ 56ea, swords are ~ 189ea. I still don't really understand how the mechanics of MTK works. :?
  9. For players whose membership is going to end, is it advisable to leave a sum of cash in Miscallania or withdraw everything out? I am thinking since there's a period of time where I won't be able to have access to the islands, I won't be able to raise the popularity level to 100%. Should I withdraw the cash or just leave it there? :?
  10. Hi there, Under the Mini-games Guide section about Barrows, the map for Barrows tunnel is missing even though the guide says "The following is a map of the tunnels". There isn't any map there although I do remember there was one in the older guide. P.S Might I suggest another way to get to the Barrows area, that is if Darkness of Hallowvale is completed, players can also use the Burgh de Rott Ramble (the easy route 1) to move to Burgh de Rott and use the bank there instead of using the normal route (blue) through the swamp infested with ghasts.
  11. Gold can also be mined at that 'spiritual realm' (i don't know what to call it) at Keldagrim after completion of Between A Rock.. quest although you have to pay a charge to the dwarf banking for you. But that place has like over 100 gold ores for you to mine though.
  12. Did you not bring any ranging gear? You can search for Muggiwhplar's guide. It's a great guide and has helped countless people overcome that big evil thingy :D
  13. Ket Zek (Level 360) can alternate between magic and melee attack if you go up close I think, so it's better to stay far and range it and let it use its magic attack only. (Of course you have to pray Magic, it really hurts alot when you get hit by it trust me) And you cannot leave otherwise you have to start all over... :(
  14. 2 items as in, one for using as a place-holder, the other one for usage.
  15. The fastest, non-quest related location (i.e. doesn't need quest to access) may be at the Giant Spiders SOS level 3. I am not sure about bandits though as I havent been there before. I can get about 61k there with a whip; 42k with a rune scimitar when I was f2p. Of course if you have access to Salve ammy, Zombie monkeys or Armoured zombies(?) that might be the best place since it's reported to get you about 80k exp and above.
  16. Hmm, so let me try to get this right: If I have minimum 2 of every of the 496 items in my bank, I can utilise all of the bank-space? That's pretty good news to me :D Thanks~
  17. Nope, because the Assist system only works for flat-pack items. This is coming from JAGeX Manual: Skill Restrictions Construction You can only make flat-packed items.
  18. Hilo there, I have read that to better organise bank space, there should be at least recommended of 2 items each, with one acting as a place-holder or something. My question is let's say if I have 2 or more of each items (e.g. rune armor sets, chisel, pickaxes) does it mean I am able to utilise the 496 p2p bank-spaces since the slots are fixed in place? Or am I only able to utilise the first 62 spaces that f2pers have? Because if that's the case I wont be able to withdraw simple tools like chisel, hammer and rune armor set etc that are at the far end of the bank-tabs. Which means I have to re-organise my bank by placing those items in the front.. :? Anybody here who's got experience can advise me on what I am able to do with bank-spaces?
  19. Did you have a bank-pin number? Otherwise they wouldn't have so easily gotten all your stuff out of the bank unless you didn't play for a while and they happen to cancel your pin. For a start, maybe you should scan your computer, making sure that nothing malicious is in there before setting new passwords or recovery etc. Or if you have another pc, you can set a new password there or something.
  20. Ice Warriors have a somewhat high defence level so it's not a good idea. Fastest way means to fight enemies with low defence level and high hp like Experiments for example. And it's advisable to go kill Baby dragons to finish the slayer task otherwise you have to start earning those points again.
  21. Dragon scimitar gets the job done and is also way cheaper than the Saradomin sword. But if you really really like a SS then go and buy it because it's nice to throw cash into the sea and have fun in the game. Staring at those cash is not your definition of fun I hope. : Hmm but seriously a Scimitar is a good enough weapon without having to shell out 7m or so...for that special attack and that teeny bit of higher damage. Well that's just my opinion though..
  22. Meiyerditch ^_^ because I like donating blood in rl. Alright I am kidding ~~ Lletya because I wanna live with the elves.
  23. Range is a pretty neat skill to train. In f2p training at Ice Giants, it feels great to shoot down Ice Warriors harassing players mining blurite ore.
  24. White beret, Polar kebbit camoflage top, dwarven shorts/Santa skirt, Rune satchel, Lunar staff or something else and sometimes red-white scarf along with those.
  25. Actually Bandos and Armadyl can be considered armor from the earlier Age since the God Wars happened 'I dont know how long ago'. :? Did the God Wars happen in the 3rd Age? Another question: Whose followers wore the 3rd Age Armor? Anyway, back to topic, I like Verac's and Armadyl items (I like birds! :D ). I am not sure about Spirit Shields though cos I havent seen one up close before.. P.S I though that 3rd Age Melee plate looks slightly similar to Sir Tiffy Cashien's Temple Knights armor. The helm looks similar to LOTR's Gondor soldiers' helm.
