Getting 95Ranged....
Sept 11th 2008: Thats like Safespotting at mossies...Too crowded and way to slow... Sept 17th 2008: I dont think 30k-40k a hour is a correct number... The fastest exp in F2P for ranged is,was and will always be Ice Giants at about 20k exp a hour. I vaguely remember the same topic being asked before and I managed to find the posts above. On Sept 11th, juxtaposing Ice Giants and Moss Giants, you said that safe-spotting was too crowded and way too slow. Then later on, you said Ice Giants is the fastest exp for F2P's Range. Currently, it's back to the description of 'dead slow and boring' again. ;) So.... what now? Guess Ice/Moss Giants are 'Busted'... As for Lesser Demons, you'd be competing with other safe-spotters for them, as mentioned by gold514191, unless play-time is right. Our very own Forsakenmage trains there though so it wouldn't be any wrong to go there to get some exp + chance at a Rune Med drop. 'Plausible' but not the fastest definitely. Giant Spiders... with a decent defence and some mix-and-match protection, they will be any F2P high-level players' friends for that journey to a 99 combat stat. With no armour (not sure if their chitinous exterior counts as one), them attacking constantly one after the other plus there's an abundance of them... need more be said? Minimise screen, watch video clips, pick up arrows from all 4 directions every now and then, move to next room to start the aggression if they stop attacking.... Lather, rinse, repeat... Exp is definitely less than compfreak's 64k per hour for a F2Per but surely faster, if not the fastest, than Moss Giants and Lesser Demons for speed training that is. Quote from Phyto's Guide: "With speed training, you are normally ignoring drops and most of the time even losing money. Although it has a big price tag, the rewards can be amazing." (Nice and detailed guide by the way Phyto) Link to guide: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=180&t=745185

Should F2P Range Get A Boost?
Umm, I feel that F2P range shouldn't get a boost (my own definition of 'boost' is the ability to hit harder and more accurately) : because firstly, there isn't any monster in F2P that warrants the addition of better range equipment since most higher level monsters are pretty easily taken care off with the Maple Shortbow and Green Dragonhide Armour (with the exception of revenants). As for the PvP aspect side of things, I am not too clear about this since I have not gotten much PvP experience therefore I can't comment on how a Ranger's arrows would affect another player in Runite armour. But a Ranger should be able to finish off a mage with quick, rapid shots (with a max damage of 18 with prayer; faster rate of attack and higher damage than a Mage's Fire Blast) If JAGeX boosts F2P's Range, I am sure the Mages will rant about it. The only reason I can think of for F2Pers to have addition to the Ranging gear would be addition of crossbows, perhaps up to the same +26 bonus of a Maple Shortbow, and bolts that can deal slightly less damage than Addy Arrows due to the ability to wield a shield. This will allow F2pers to have a wide variety of Ranging gear but without allowing them to perform higher hits than what Addy Arrows allow them to. Essentially, this isn't really a boost but more of an addition to their arsenal of range weaponry. Still, I can't really see this happening anytime soon.

Stop telling free players to buy membership!
Yup, I know. I was just trying to list down most, if not all, of the reasons that most f2pers gave to not be able to/ to not want to get membership; not answering for the majority of them. As for why they ask for more stuff, I don't really know. As for the part about the Mcdonald meal prices, different countries have different prices. For sure I know that a meal here costs less than the membership fee where I live, but that's besides the point. Just clarifying, there's nothing to it. :)

100% f2p - an achievement?
Exactly. It's an achievement. A pointless achievement. I think Forsakenmage, NJE03 etc. will be very sad when they hear that. Ok joking there~ I still feel that 100% f2p is an achievement in itself; as long as one doesn't go about asking for recognition about this then it's fine as it is. Most top f2pers are usually quiet and reserved and won't go about bragging (erm.. do they? :D ) Anyway, some players chose to challenge themselves to maxing out on f2p and in my opinion there's nothing wrong about it. Ultimately, there's nothing on paper that seperates a f2per's 99 and a p2per's 99 unless JAGeX decides to do something about it (e.g how much exp gained on f2p/p2p servers; it will be pretty complicated though). I would say it's more of the player's own personal achievement than anything else. Still, I think the least that everyone can do is recognize this feat and not to flame/write disparaging remarks about it since it doesn't really affect other players in any way :?: Come on, be nice TIFers~ :D

Halloween 08
 Chill a little Omali ^ ^ Jessy was being sarcastic there you know. Yeah I agree with Jesse it wouldn't make sense nor be fair to those players who missed previous events (e.g. Easter Ring, Xmas Scarves, Scythe etc) and yet newer players can obtain the holiday items from Halloween 08 henceforth if they ever subscribed to members, regardless of when they first started playing. Holiday items are meant somewhat to show others how long a player has been playing RS.

Revenants?!?
Go and read Mod Emilee's thread in the RSOF....it has all the FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs) there. ;) http://forum.[Please Use QuickFind Code].ws?15,16,624,57747890 "Are Revenants on the PvP Worlds?" No, but they will remain on non-PvP Worlds.

MSSW4 Rants
Ummm....Sephy, I am sure that right-clicking and then selecting 'attack' will allow someone to attack another person with the same skill cape. Players wearing the same team-cape don't have the default left-click 'attack' option only. :)

Stop telling free players to buy membership!
Mmm hmm, F2p is alright as it is. I started from RS Classic, then moved on to RS2 and now the current Runescape therefore I am really appreciative that there's High Detail and an almost full-screen mode (albeit with the ads on top) that f2pers can play on. And my guess is that the ads don't pay for updates but rather only for the f2p servers. There are probably many reasons why some f2pers don't/can't get membership which I am probably sure most TIFers heard about. Let me try to summarise: 1. Parents don't allow the use of Credit cards (usually the case of younger players) 2. No Target store near the vicinity or in the country of residence. 3. Feel that the time spent on playing won't warrant P2P worth paying for. (real-life activities etc) 4. May not know how to utilise other methods of payment like Paybycash, Western Union, PayPal etc. (usually the case of younger players) 5. May not have the more easily accessible (and secret ; without letting parents know ) means of payment in the country (e.g. SMS, VISA Gift cards etc) 6. Feel that f2p is sufficient for playing needs and/or overwhelmed by the amount of content in p2p. 7. Feel that paying money for a Java game is not worth it. (compared to real-life commodities or daily necessities) ......and the list goes on. Anybody can add on to the list if I have missed any reason but I am pretty sure that's about all. :-k

Degrading Time of Corrupt Dragon Armour (I iz F2P)
Well, if the degrade-timer starts and doesn't stop once the weapon is first equipped, I don't see any reason any non-pker will buy them for aesthetic reasons. Well, I wanted to buy a Corrupted Dragon spear for fun (hey, thats probably the only pole-arm weapon that a f2p can hold) :D but looks like it isn't worth it now.

Ankou. Exp and Money? (F2P)
Ultimately, it's which monster you prefer killing at the time of play. Everyone can tell you this and that however, it's up to your own to test them out yourself and see which one you like. Noone can stick to the same monsters for long unless one is really 'disciplined' (although using the word 'discipline' doesn't quite fit into playing a game) :-k that's why lots of people recommended Slayer for variety and money in another thread.. to prevent boredom.. From my own experience, Lesser Demons' drop-rate for worthy items are not that good; usually dropping coins, steel axe or wine but then again noone can say exactly what the drop rate for certain items are since it's entirely random. For example, someone can say "I get a Rune med every trip there." but when you train there and got nowhere near to his claim of Rune med drop, you'll probably think it's 'rubbish'. In fact, I daresay that C.Soldiers will give more worthy loot-value at the end of a trip than the Lesser demons; them being only 1 Cbt lvl difference. Anyway, Giants have got the bonus of dropping Big Bones as well, plus their attack is slower than the demon's "6 out of 10" attack speedbar. I am guessing that you are a very active player in RS so why not just spend few hours hacking away at certain monsters and get your own exp rate + loot worth and then decide which is best for yourself? :? As the saying goes, :geek: 'one man's meat is another man's poison'...

Ankou. Exp and Money? (F2P)
When others are trying to help you/answer your queries etc, the least you could do is to avoid an ad hominem argument; just disagree with the idea and move on...period. -.- That aside, since you acknowledged that without all stats being 90+ and that you'd be doing more bank runs than killing, I infer that there will be lesser Ankous killed and the 'more bank runs' means literally that. More trips to Edgeville bank to restock or something and this ultimately hinders the exp and loot gained per hour. I am guessing 'No', they will not provide you with decent EXP as well as decent MONEY. In fact, if you had looked up Tipit's Bestiary yourself(I looked it up for you anyway), you will find that the drop is lacking for Ankous. The only worthy stuff they drop are the Adam Arrows and that tiny bit of law runes. They are only good for P2Pers to train on esp. with Salve Ammy(e) equipped. The fact that Ankous don't give decent enough loot plus the fact that they hit harder than C.Workers means it's a no-no even for people with 90+ stats (imho)... ;) As for Ilovecardj's Ice Giant suggestion, it's a good suggestion mainly because Ice Giants are at a somewhat similar level to C.workers but have more Hp which means the Hitpoint:Level Ratio is higher as shown in the Bestiary. I have been there training Range on-off and I have seen high level players cleave through them like nothing. The downside would be that it might be occupied with f2pers looking to get their prayer level up etc + there are only 3 big blokes and a few dozen ice boys wanting your attention at the same time. Now for a nice summary of the monsters that are viable for training 8-) : Giant Spiders for good exp only, C.Workers for that 'good money' + not so decent exp, Ice Giants for good balance between exp and booty. And don't even think of Ankous, Lessers nor Greaters...

Ankou. Exp and Money? (F2P)
There, you said this yourself in another thread. I guess you answered your own queries?

Forget this degrade BS, F2P now deserves dragon weapons...
"I have a dream! That one day, all f2pers and p2pers will live together in harmony and we shall all share our weapons with each other! No more discrimination or whatsoever~~" :XD: Just Kidding! Ok aside from that, I feel that Dragon weaponry aren't really obsolete to members yet (especially new members) and it's a some sort of 'rite' into p2p-ship or p2p-dom (don't really know how to word it but hope you get the idea). It's sort of like a symbolic thingy. :) For members on a budget, D Scimitar or Longsword still works pretty fine if you don't have an Abbysal, SS or other better weapons. Actually, in this case for the corrupted Dragon items, I am thinking it's some sort of advertisement just like the Gnomecopters. Now perhaps the point system might be appreciated by loyal members who have subscribed for more than a certain period of time? Not sure how this will affect the Combat Triangle though. Might be unfair to long-time f2pers; but I think loyal p2pers should be able to get some sort of appreciation when they become f2p due to whatever reason. Offering D Weapons straight into the game for f2pers (quest concern aside) might be pretty unfair to p2pers who first subscribed for the Dragon weapons in the first place way way back in classic or even now. Also, f2p mage and rangers will be the first one to rant about this in the 'Rants' section and what next? "Mystics should be made f2p!"? "Better crossbows?" #-o Now, about giving Achievement Capes to f2p, that's another matter altogether :XD:

October 15th 2008 - PVP Worlds + Game Log In Improvements
Mmm hmm -.- Protected item + 3 Best items (when not skulled) doesn't count into 25k value worth of 'risk' items. That's assuming if the friend is not 'skulled'. Then again, it's kinda silly to be having 5m geepee and 5k Adam arrows in the inventory just for this 'test' since having more than 25k (f2p) or 75k(p2p) doesn't affect how fast your chance of better drops come, according to the KB...

October 15th 2008 - PVP Worlds + Game Log In Improvements
Isn't that a little....(how should I put it)..extreme, in the sense that in another post, you said that you lost 3 Red Halloween mask and 50 million due to being keylogged, and that afterwards you were being 'stingy with your money'? And here you are with a 5 million geepee inventory and 5k Addy arrows just for a PvP fight......:? 'wow'..... *impressed* :^o

Question about Capes of Achievement (Answered) ^ ^
Oh.. so ultimately, regardless of what skill you got 99 first as long as you gotten another 99, they (your first 99 and subsequent ones) automatically becomes trimmed no matter whether you bought it or not? Hmm.. alright I got it, thank you~~ P.S: I was asking because I felt that Ranged(t) Cape is kinda ugly and I was wondering if it can be bought untrimmed first, but looks like it doesn't matter now

Question about Capes of Achievement (Answered) ^ ^
So... as I was browsing Rune HQ site (don't be mistaken, I still TIF~), I read that subsequent Skill Capes can be bought Untrimmed provided that's the first ever Skill Cape that you bought. What I meant to say is that for example if you got 99 Attack first, but didn't purchase the Cape, and then you got 99 Defence afterwards. My question is, if you purchase the Defence Skill Cape first, will it be the untrimmed version even though your first ever 99 is another skill? :-k As far as i believe it to be, the first skill cape will always be the untrimmed version whether you buy it before or after the 2nd skill cape. Just wanted to confirm it that's all. Quoted from Rune HQ database: "If you have one or more of the other skillcapes when you purchase the (Skill) cape, then it will automatically be a (Skill) cape(t), and will also come with the (Skill) hood. If you don't have any other skillcapes when you purchase the (SKill) cape, then it will not become trimmed until you purchase a second skillcape." (Sheesh so confusing..)

F2P PVP weapons
If you are referring to the Corrupted Dragon Weaponry that F2P can use, I think it's only wieldable at 60 attack. For Ancient Items, I am guessing their stats only work on P2P servers? EDIT: I am guessing that you phrased your title wrongly? Because there isn't any Dragon Weaponry that gives such a high bonus. :D Yeah if the requirement says so, then you could wield it; provided what the KB says is true... :?

Multi-Site Steel War 4 (Oct 18, 2pm Edt)
Sheeesh...it's gonna be 2.00 am Sunday for me... I want to come to my first ever TIF event too ~ considering I been here since 2005 and I usually miss TIF events because of the time zone thingy. Will try to make it, otherwise just hoping that we'd win.

Question about Corrupted Dragon Armour
=[ Yeah and the worse thing is that it degrades once you equip it, even when not in combat(?) according to the picture in the other thread.... From the KB if you take the words literally, "You can wear these for 30 minutes before they crumble to dust." Wearing/wielding the item will cause the timer to start even when not engaging in battle....

Bow Enchantment
Hmmm, it would be a nice idea. This reminds me of the prestige class character 'Arcane Archer', in the game Neverwinter Nights. Being able to shoot arrows imbued with fire or ice etc... therefore in addition to the normal red splash of damage inflicted by the arrow, there might be an additional splash of another color to show the damage by the type of element. It would use up the Special bar of course. Although I am not pretty sure how this would affect the Combat Triangle or PvP, or if Mages would complain about it.

The one thing you would add/improve on in Runescape
"Make Achievement Capes F2P." :ohnoes: I think I can envision some p2p people throwing $5 bills folded into paper-planes at me... and maybe a note to go along with it "Pay $5, you @#$! f2p nub!" Ok just joking!! : EDIT: On second thought, I am sure most p2p will want to be able to put on and take off Achievement Capes as and when they like on a f2p server, no? That would be nice

Ingame Cosplay Costumes
:D Abarai Renji from the anime 'Bleach'. =\ Don't look that good though... Couldn't find any better hairstyle and hair colour. Will be better with Desert Boots. Well in general, most Shinigami characters can be of that clothing style. Captain class Shinigamis is possible too; I have got the Zaraki and Ichimaru look and maybe I will post them up. EDIT: Ok I posted the rest of the pics although it isnt that accurate but it looks decent right? A Legends Cape would go nicely and also Desert Boots for both of the Captain class. I Bleach ~~ EDIT2: Ooooo I saw Renji in that link and it was awesome~~ EDIT3: Ken-chan with the eyepatch and defence Skill Cape is looking great~~

For us old players...
'*' = magic spell '*' = arrow  Oh and back then I think Silverlight only weakened the Lesser Demons. Now it allows you to hit 60% harder instead(?). A rune shield, when wielded, would have looked like Saradomin-trimmed square shield in Classic \ Rune Large Helm plume was red in color like the Zamorak-trimmed helmet of now.

gear comparer
http://www.tip.it/runescape/?rs2item Thats the URL for it. It's actually the Item Database; there's a 'Compare Items' button there.
