thanks for the topic. although its kind of dishartening to read this, you have to understand that is a loser and will most likely amount to nothing in life. although its hard, you should just ignore him/his posse and just stick with your friends. makes me feel happy if finished highschool.

(im aware of the irony in my comment, but ive posted things about the actual topic beforehand.) your narrow mindedness really annoys me, not everyone who plays sport professionally has a perfect life, they have to work hard. Let me give you an example so you can understand what im saying - Glenn McGrath (australian test player, announced retirement today) grew up in the bush and when he moved nearer to sydney to play cricket, he had to live in a caravan. seriously, you should just drop this, its an argument of stereotypes and really getting annoying and childish.

now that that [cabbage] is behind us, i thought id discuss Warneys performances lately.. Brisbane - not really too many wickets here, the wicket never really suits spin here as it does in the other grounds around the country. Adelaide - wow! second innings was incredible. Shane bowled a huge spell and looked a constant threat to the batsman, eventually snagging about 4 wickets (and a run out) which was possibly the catalyst for the turnaround of the match! Perth - As damaging as ever, especially when australia had the foot to the throat in the second innings when facing the tail enders and Pietersen. How about that last ball against Panesar the first over after lunch? : The Ashes are ours!! With a great effort so far from Warney. It will definately be some time before we find a replacement even half as good as Shane Warne.

mate, you just dont get it? do you? you dont understand the game of cricket nor do you have any respect for the way we feel about our cricketing heros. The facts are these: they have to work extremely hard thier whole lives if they are even going to stand any chance of being selected for the australian cricket team (where the 'few million a year' [as you say], are) even then they have to work very hard to maintain thier place in the team and the respect of the fans. Now the purpose of this topic is to discuss the life and achievments of Shane Warne. the next time you start to stray from the topic, im not even going to dignify you with a response, as all you are saying is unjustified rubbish. So if you have nothing constructive to say, JUST DONT POST

luckily for me, i live in australia and we dont really have school shootings here. we had one really bad shooting in tasmania in the 90's though (not a school shooting) - it was called the Port Aurthur Massacre. about 35 people were killed. after that, the gun laws in this country became more strict.

im just going to leave this argument at the fact that you wouldnt understand the game of cricket... these people (take mike hussey for example) have to work very hard, for years before they get selected in the australian team. Even then they are under constant pressure to perform and maintain thier spot. But hey, lets not argue, lets keep this post about the retirement of Warney. ok? looking foreward to the boxing day test!! :D

i disagree. he has commonly been regarded as the 'second best spinner' and the like. if it werent for warney, he would have been in the team as a perm. fixture over the past decade or so.

clearly you dont understand the game of cricket or the legends that have played the game over the years. If anyone else has these kind of comment, please, dont post here (i think i speak for the author of this post when i say this.) sports stars have to work seriously hard to get where they are.. think of mike hussey (if you were familiar with australian cricket, you would know who he is.)

this reminds me of something. Back in school, in C.S (christian studies [i went to a lutheran school], but you could call it 'religion class') we learn how to argue your point i.e. put your opinion across, while litening to and respecting others point of view and opinion, even if it dosent conform to yours.

i was talking about Warnie with my dad (also a cricket-nut) we both agreed he could play until he was fourty, he was simply getting better with age, like a fine wine. Seriously, these last 3 test matches he has had awesome performances. The next two are going to be a cracker now, Imagine the MCG crowd when warnie goes on for his first spell, and then when he gets his 700th!! :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

im not an american, but im familiar with this bloke (seen him on the news etc.) He seems to have a good head on his shoulders and strong, decent values. In my books he'd do a much better job than George Bush.

yea, i believe being an optimist rather than a pessemist lengthens your lifespan. Why? well being pessemistic about life is kind of an indirect message to your brain that 'this isnt worth it, id be better off dead' not very scientific i know. :lol: :lol: :lol:
