I think you misinterpreted what I said. You see, you and I obviously like the game because we play it. But somebody that has no knowledge of it will probably look at it, go "meh" and move on whereas if they see a fancy new game with up-to-date graphics and fast paced gameplay they will go "awesome!". Runescape has always been criticized for bad graphics (not so much anymore) and for grind heavy gameplay. And they are right, the graphics [were] are mediocre and all you do gameplay wise is point and click. Runescape might be fairly successful, but it will always remain in the shadow of more mainstream games made by well know companies. I never saw rs as a big grindfest until you hit high levels where even on members it isn't to bad with the item advantages, now f2p I don't even train combat because its a big waste of time. Anyone ever played Silkroad, not that game is a grindfest even when you are a level 1. Would you please explain to me what part of runescape isn't a grindfest? The ENTIRE game is "point and click" even at higher levels and on members servers.

I think this will be huge for santas, despite what everybody else says. Merchants will take advantage of this, and santas will be selling for max price for a few days before the update, and maybe a week after the update. After that they will either sink back past where they are now, or may hover a few mil over what they are now.

Computers we're that revolutionary. It was the MIRCOPROCESSOR that revolutionised the world.

10 year old wife gets divorced after being raped and beaten
Kill_Thomas9 replied to Happysniff's topic in Off-Topic
Huh? Political correctness is disgusting No, I said what the husband did was disgusting, beating and raping the 10 year old girl, the reason why I wouldn't blame the parents is it's in their culture for them to wed of their children early, not for the husband to beat the married girl. I'm not sure you understand something here. Just because you believe something tobe "correct" or "morally right" in your mind, doesn't mean the rest of the world has to follow your ethics, or even an entire country's ethics. You happen to be brought up in a country where things such as marrying that young is first off illegal, and second off highly frowned upon. That doesn't mean that us as a country sets the standard, and anything different than that is wrong. ------------------ No, you know your defenition of marriage. Once again, your standards don't set the standards for the rest of the world. -
Jagex has a suprise for us later this month?

Bandos Godsword is flying, when will it stop?

Appearently there are tons of people at gwd, so the price will fall soon. -
Clearly you dont know too many africans..... I say he is the steroetypical kid who goes to some great bording school of just rich white people, and only leaves once a year when he goes to his parent's house, who live in an all white community. Or he lives underground in a bomb shelter.
-
Uum... sorry, but you're just plain wrong. This is borderline racist. Racist would be if they made it so only white characters could wear armour and equip weapons.

I'm still confused on what you mean by that. Do you mean that you can have iTunes open, and then right click on runescape without having to first click on the client?

Jagex is planning 2 more skills! or a typo? proof inside!!!!
Kill_Thomas9 replied to Lodewijk66's topic in General Discussion
Jagex would have to be a bunch of morons to make sailing a skill. There are three good reasons why sailing will never be a skill. ---------------------------------- First: WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU GOING TO SAIL TO? Last time I checked the only places you would be able to sail to are karamja, and various other quest related islands that Jagex would never let us sail to (ie. Ape Atoll, Entrana, Lunar Isles, ect.). -------- Second: Anybody remember charter ships? They were put in less than a year and a half ago, and if Jagex ever had any intention of releasing sailing, they wouldn't have made Charter Ships. -------- Third: How stupid would this be to train? Level one: Sail Small Wooden Boat. *Click on boat* *Sailing animation* "Congratulations! You have advanced a Sailing level! You can now sail Masted Small Wooden Boat!" *Repeat process for 3 days* Level 82: "Congratulations! You have advanced a Sailing level! You can now sail Large Masted Adamantite Boat! And you can say "Ya there will! Someone posted a screenshot of the new skill icon", but if you look at the icon closely, you'll see that the icon looks like , because none of the colors blend or fade nicely like they do on every other skill icon in the game. So go ahead and insist that the guy on the homepage standing on a boat is sailing. I don't see why he cant just be riding a ship to a new island for a new quest in which you get a new staff. Oh yeah, and about the "Arrgh matey! There be pirate grear droppin from them implings!". In case you didn't know, pirate gear has existed for what may as well be forever in runescape. I don't think that "Maybe people want to dress up as pirates for sailing, because the only people that go sailing are pirates, and I get really into my roleplaying when I dress up " is a valid areguement. -
Take a chill pill and quit flaming people for no reason. Nobody is ranting but you so get off his case.

To sum it up: Jagex removes all freedoms, and half the game. They add new cb skill and GE. -

Fix'd.Fix'd I just read an article on the big sur fire, and clicked on this thread to post some info on the fire, but looks like you beat me to it. (P.S., how come you "fixed" fix'd"?!) :ohnoes: :ohnoes: P.P.S. You're a person of higher authority, right? Is there anyway you can get the admins to let more than 3 quotes be embeded within each other? Because as you can see, I have to create 2 quotes now.

Most of these are probably lies. That's just the type of ignorant attitude that makes people look down on you. And yes, I'm sure a few of these aren't real. But to say most are lies would be a lie in it's self.

We need to make prices go UP!! So when your friend asks to borrow your item the first time, say YES. The next time he asks, say NO. That way he will like the weapon so much, that he will go out and buy one of his own. Hence, prices will rise.

You mean like when you sleep over at someone's house, and every morning you wake up at exacly 2:10 AM, and have to go to the bathroom really bad. Then when you go to the bathroom, the sink turns it's self on. Then the next time you sleep over you're sitting watching TV, and you feel something like a hand move through your hair, and your friend is staring at you from the other side of the room. You say "Did you just see th-" and your friend say "Yes". If that is what you mean, then yes.
-
Yep. 1.75 miles from my house. I'll post another picture my dad took of the flames when he gets home so you have a better idea of how close it was. --------------------------------------- Fix'd. Fix'd

Runescape Night-Day mode + You think Jagex planning this?
Kill_Thomas9 replied to Dire_Wolf's topic in General Discussion
The Night and Day can be adjusted based on servers/worlds? So that, if your in Canada...you use a Canadian Server...and you see the night+day and the change.. Also here's how the atmposhere will be, when it comes to campfires at night. Good diagram. I like the idea. ----------------------- Try to think outside of the box here with me. You could have accelerated days, meaning a day could be twelve hours (or any other incriment of time) so you would be able to notice the difference. Another option would be to have a 22 hour day in order to have a 2 hour offset. With this setup, daytime takes place when it would have been night a week ago, and vice-versa. (This would also work with 11 hour days, so you could notice the passing of an entire day over just the half a day you are awake, and would also have the benefit of the offset day.) But I have to say, being a WoW player, it is first of all very fun to have day/night cycles, and makes the game much more realistic. (Especially with sunsets and sunrises in Booty Bay in the Eastern Kingdoms. The clouds are great, and make it seem actually tropical when they turn purple and such over the ocean.) Another great thing is we have a specific server to play on, and each server has it's own time. The server I am on happens to have the same time as my local time, so the sun sets when the sun sets here, and the sun rises when it rises here. That also means daytime is during daytime, and night time is during night time, which makes your gameplay much more imersing. -
