  1. Unfortunately at this point we're not sure what the problem is :( Once we have more information/ideas we will let you know! Sorry for the inconvenience!
  2. Taking Lives - Had seen it before. It's not as good of a movie once you know the twist. The Last Song - I put off seeing this movie for ages because I didn't like that Miley Cyrus was in it.. But I wanted to see it because I love Nicholas Sparks. I didn't like Miley Cyrus (as an actress or her character in the movie) but I did enjoy the movie.
  3. As Kalda23 said, we recently increased our signature limit to 500 pixels wide by 250 pixels high by 150kb in size. We have a lot of stickies around the forums and sometimes it can be hard to make sure they're all up to date :) I have fixed the Gallery sticky to reflect the change. Also, we have stopped using that signature replacement so it will not be updated. Sorry for the confusion!
  4. Not necessarily, and that's actually what I like about other MMOs. I hate combat in RuneScape because it's so mindlessly easy. In other MMOs there are a wide variety of skills which presents so many more opportunities for strategy. There's a lot more thinking and planning that goes into each fight. Memorizing the spells/attacks isn't difficult because they're not all presented to you at once. You get a small handful and then slowly get more as you level up. But having more attack options adds variety and strategy to the game, which makes it more interesting and fun than RS in my opinion.
  5. Thanks for sharing - these are some great photos! A lot of fun to look through. And I agree with Pirate_Felix - that guy is win! :P I added some hide tags to save us from the massive scrolling! Hope that's alright :) Keep sharing!
  6. Killers - kind of fun! My sisters saw it and hated it and while I could see how it was a bit cheesy, I still enjoyed it.

Is this the Golden Compass/Subtle Knife series? I read these when I was younger too, but I don't remember anything religious. These are excellent reads, and I would reccommend them to anyone who hasn't read them. I remember finishing the third (final?) book and just sitting there thinking, "When was the last time I actually felt emotional about a book?". They were very powerful. They are extremely religious. But as previously stated, you probably wouldn't pick up on all those religious themes until you're older. But they are incredible books - probably my all time favourites :) And yeah, I definitely got emotional during the third one!
  8. Note to self: all questions up to this point have been documented :) Keep them coming you guys! Some GREAT questions so far!
  9. Yeah I LOOOVE that one :P Congratulations to all winners!
  10. Well when I started playing RuneScape I didn't really consciously choose to play it over other games. It's just the first one I found, thus I played it. However that being said, I think I stuck with it so long because RuneScape offers a great feeling of accomplishment when completing a goal. I haven't found this in many other games. For example, I have played LOTRO and while there are accomplishments, they're all pretty easy and expected of most players. But in RuneScape I have always felt a huge sense of achievement when completing a goal or getting a 99 because it takes a lot of patience and dedication. It can take weeks, months or years to obtain.. but at the same time, it doesn't feel like a meaningless achievement. In LOTRO I could complete every single deed and it would in fact take weeks, months or years.. but it would feel meaningless to me. But that being said, I've also gotten incredibly bored of RuneScape because of the massive grind :P
  11. Ask The Staff! Is there anything you'd like to know about the Tip.it Staff? Are there any questions you've always wanted to ask about a specific team or how things are done? Now is your chance! We are giving you guys the opportunity to ask the Administrators, Crew and/or Moderators anything that your heart desires! You can ask questions about how the team operates, what exactly their role is, what their favourite skittles flavour is... ;) Anything at all! We cannot guarantee that every question will be answered, but we will do our best! Some things we may not be able to reveal (due to security, privacy, etc.) or we simply may not have time to answer every single question. Post your questions here and please make it clear who it is directed at! Example: Please note that this will not be a live question and answers session. The various teams (Administrators, Crew and Moderators) will review the questions that are posted here, prepare answers and release them hopefully within the next week or two. Ask away! - Tip.it Staff

I've read Percy Jackson. Love all of them :) Especially a fun read for people who are fond of Greek Mythology. Percy Jackson and the Olympians is such an awesome series! Also, Rick Riordan recently released the first novel in his The Kane Chronicles series. The book is titled Red Pyramid. It is very similar to his Percy novels, except it focuses on Ancient Egypt instead of Greece. I really enjoyed reading it.   I bought Red Pyramid and am looking forward to reading it :) So I'm glad to hear that you liked it! I'm a huge fan of Ancient Egypt!

I can play the guitar, bass, and keyboard quite well. However, the one instrument i have no hope of ever learning is the guitar hero controller. Same D: I've been playing guitar for 8 years but I fail at Guitar Hero. I can put my legs behind my head.
  17. Yes  I love Chinese food. *is eating that now* mmmmm
  18. I watched Leon last night. It was weird.
  19. As I believe was previously stated, when we moved from phpBB to IPB, we lowered the flood control from 60 seconds to 45 seconds as a compromise when this inconvenience surfaced. I still think that's a fair compromise :) Unfortunately we're never going to please everybody. We have to find a good balance, keeping in mind that flood control is annoying but it also has benefits (which have been previously stated). The rest of the admin team and I still feel that 45 seconds is fair.
  20. We are only freeing up names of old accounts that have zero posts and we're not actually deleting any accounts ;)
  21. I don't suppose this rule can be bent a little, if the account in question had less then 70 posts and was last active over 6 years ago? For now I think we're going to stick to those rules :)
  22. Men can still get *breast* cancer!
  23. Guys. What's better, ass or breasts? BOOBIES OF COURSE. They are unique to the female race ;D What about man boobs? But yeah I don't really understand the appeal of asses either.
  24. YES - VARIABLE CHANGE!
