  1. You're on a PC right now, aren't you? What does bill gates in the number 2 spot have anything to do with him being on a computer? Are computers now less effective because he is no longer the richest man in the world or something? You're comparing the ability to write a cheque to actually saving someones life? Ah yes, and who has killed more people. Hitler or a front line German WW2 soldier? exactly, someone else made a similar statement one the first page. You would do a lot more good by signing a $100 million dollar check for malaria than jumping in a lake and saving some kids life, it's pure logic. Why do you have to jump on the subway tracks just to be respected as a life saver? Because one is heroism, the other is aid. It is alot harder to jump on tracks and save lives, that requires character, bravery, and a little bit of crazy. Of course, one persons life is nowhere near as valuable as an 100 million dollar check to save a millions [in my opinion, dont try to argue this with me please]. But everybody likes a hero, so they're going to get more publicity and respect..... for mabye 2 weeks? Well the singning of a chek is basicly getting a other person to be the hero for you. So if everybody would just donate and nobody would be there hero nothing would happen. It doesn't takes money to save lives it takes people willing to make it happen ( the need for money is because not everbody wil do it for free (the factory wants money for the medicine but the doctor might not want money, so if the factory doesn't wants money for the medicine the giving money to charity wouldn't be needed. and no the factory does not need money to make medicine, it needs stuf, but if the stuff was given away it would not need money. so on and so on Think Stalin. "when one person dies, its a tragedy. When 100 thousand die, its a statistic." Its the same idea here.
  2. Same idea as malo. Wars are not popular things, and politicians like to pull support quickly so to not lose votes. It would be a VERY bad idea to leave Iraq right now. At least at this point terrorists are killing ~90% their own people and not Americans, or westereners in general. And where did you get the idea of Iraq becoming a satellite of the United States? That will never happen.
  3. There is no such thing as government money. Its tax payers money. Then why don't I correct that:
  4. sounds like a waste of goverment money to me.
  5. Ceader Point, Ohio. I was just there today. 17 roller coasters, the most in the world. I went on this one today (among others) fun, but scary as hell. I was just on it today. The line was only 10 minutes too. Kingda Ka is a carbon copy of it, but 2 feet taller to get the record.
  6. Well for your price point, a 8600 gts would be the best thing out there. It comes in at $200 even and is the best thing you can get for your money. The next step up from that card would be a 8800 gts, but this comes in substantially over your price range at $280. Both will play those games you mentioned just fine. Note that the brand I have down there, EVGA is a very good one for graphics cards. below those you could try the 8600 gt or 8500 gt, but those don't have a price/performance ratio nearly as good as the other two. The superclocked edition of the 8600 gts is factory overclocked, so you will probably get around 15% - 20% more performance out of it then the stock card.
  7. bill gates lost it because he gave 20 billion dollars to his charity.
  8. I'm fairly certain that teeth can't have allergic reactions. Bone normally dosent have any capacity to change in any way veary quickly, and it definatly donen't have the facilitys needed to turn themselves yellow or orange, at least not via melenin. And yes I know most of that was brutly incorect grwammer but right now Im not to worried. My gums had allergic reactions to braces, so I had to get gold plated braces.
  9. getting a business laptop marketed for business (such as a dell latatude) usually contains no or a very small amount of bloatware. Your other option is to get a high end computer from a boutique manufacturer, such as falcon northwest
  10. Why would he live in the united states? that number is probably for the company Jagex uses to host the website.
  11. I remember this movie where a guy faked a pilot. Can't remember what it was called but you should try that. :P Catch me if you can?
  12. I remember seeing somewhere that someone talked to a mod in game that said they saw the idea, but were unable to impliment it because of technical problems, so this might be it.
  13. Higaria. the ability to put 3 production modules on 1 carrier outweighs anything else.
  14. I have taken a similarly configured computer of a friends of mine and installed a 8600 gts just fine. Dell uses the 305 watt PSU in all of their computers, aside from the high end XPS. The numbers recommended for a power supply for those cards are VASTLY inflated. Without running multiple RAID arrays, or putting multiple cards in SLI or extreme overclocking, that PSU is fine.
  15. your power supply is fine. Unless you are planning on getting a 8800 series card, which is out of your budget, that power supply is fine. Dell fits cards like that as an option on those computers themselves. these cards are all good, with the top one being the fastest (and most expensive) and the bottom one being the slowest (and cheapest). they should all work with your computer: The 8600 gts superclocked the 8600 gt the 8500 gt All of these cards should work with your computer. All of the cards I have listed here are by EVGA. They are a good manufacturer and I have never had any problems with them, but who you pick is up to you. Note: the 8800 gts is 30$ higher then your price range, but it is significantly more powerful then the other cards here. I just thought I would mention it.
  16. I get regularly reported for auto typing. My guess would be that I have been reported at least 30 times for it. No black marks though. (I just type fast)
  17. The biggest reason I would not like to mess with the files at this point is because I do not have a windows install disk or any repair disks. It was a pre built computer, (a dell) and If I mess up my windows install Im screwed. So I would like to cover all my bases with these things.
  18. change your passowrd immediately, if possible. you got scammed.
  19. the thing about a corrupted tc/ip file seems similar to my problem, but I would like to try scanning my computer with a antivirus program before messing with core system files. Is there any free virus programs I can load on to a flash drive and use? I might go and buy a copy of norton antivirus from the store, however.
  20. Not a bad build. I see no build problems. Even though that power supply is cheap, the reviews are not bad, so it seems like a good deal. For budget systems, Amd processors are better then Intel right now.
  21. Us at tipit here should file for disability benefits for being addicted to runescape. Hmmm, mabie we could be allowed to play rs at work......
  22. Alienware is owned by dell, and ill bet that this computer manufacturer makes faster computers.
  23. I would go with an Nvidia chipset If I were you, as opposed to an intel one. They are not as stable, but they are faster. Here is a good board with one: Either a 650i or 680i chipset are good, but if you ever consider adding another card to make an SLI setup, you will need a 680i chipset. EVGA board
