200M in all Skills
Sorry, my post was less than clear. I was still on the divination discussion from last page. I meant the time it has taken the current master diviners from 1-99 divination, not all skills.

200M in all Skills
Has anyone posted the total number of game-hours it is from 1-99? And perhaps the exp/h at 99 to find the number of hours to 200M. I'm curious to see how long it will take "normal" players.

20-Aug-2013 - Divination
I meant in terms of training gathering skills by actually gathering something rather than say ivy where you get nothing in return.

I am holding off on saying it's too slow until people get closer or to 99 so we can see the total average exp over the whole skill. Personally I think a good 1-99 time would be 250 hours, making an all around average of 52k exp/h. More or less in line with the other gathering skills using "conventional" methods.

I assume that's siphoning only? Is making portents worth it for the exp?

Portable rune rock at 94 is what caught my eye. With rune ore being floor priced because of rune item alch price, I can see that being quite lucrative.

Curse you, work! Looking forward to training this evening. I got to level 5 before work and it seems fun enough. Kinda worried how this will affect the market though with the ability to transform ores and such.

Ah, thanks. I get my news from Tipit. Rarely do I look at the news section of the RS homepage.

Does someone have a link where I can read more about Wreck3d becoming a JMod? What position will he be taking on? On-topic: Fashionscape

According to the unofficial Wiki, T2 huge lamp costs 7.4% more but provides 5% more exp, so yes.

- Runescape Dying? [Discussion/Observation]
As I say every time this topic pops up, going back to "what made the game great" won't help at all. It's the same reason OSRS is bleeding players. The MMO market has changed dramatically since 2001. You have to change to stay competitive. Veterans won't stick around forever no matter how much they love the game. Once you start changing the direction of the game you kinda have to stick to the plan because changing your mind half way through would just fragment the game further.- Runescape Dying? [Discussion/Observation]
When they introduced micropayments into the game, Jagex said that it was due to a long term trend of declining income. From 2008-2012 Jagex watched as their profits slide as veterans quit (it's natural to become bored of a game after near a decade of playing it) and new players came in at a much slower rate than they once did. It's my firm belief that this is why RS3 was developed. Jagex is doing all they can to gain NEW players. Veterans can only keep this game afloat for so long. And honestly, if you were new to the MMO scene, would you pick a game that is over 10 years old, or would you pick a much newer one that is designed around the wants and desires of the current trends.- 200M in all Skills
Yeah, I sold 10M nats the week before they jumped. I knew a bot sweep was coming.... just couldn't wait that extra week *facedesk*. Jagex plz unban all bots.- Behind The Scenes - August 2013
It might help to introduce some randomness into the process. Ie, arbitrarily assign different properties to the same ingredients for each player. That way each player has to experiment on their own. Inb4playerrungameofchance- Behind The Scenes - August 2013

Temperatures have increased 0.0 degrees since 2008. There has been a loss of 0.0m^2 of ice. Coal is a renewable resource with a refresh time of ~30s. Global warming is a myth and I refuse to switch my cannon to wind power!- 22-Jul-2013 - RuneScape 3!

Not really. Those companies (Gamerica/UOL and Axeso5) have the licencing rights to RS in their respective languages. It's not an advertising deal. So basically you wouldn't ordinarily see Jmods on those worlds because they don't speak spanish. So these guys take over doing the Jmods events? That's how I read it, yes. The CM team for English RS are all Jagex employees and are located at Jagex HQ, so they all get JMods accounts. Since the people running the foreign language servers are not technically Jagex employees (so far as I'm aware) they don't deserve, or maybe that they can't be trusted with, JMods accounts. This LMod position is a way for Jagex to encourage non-English events without having to grant non-Jagex employees all of the rights and responsibilities of a JMod account. At least that's how I interpret this.- New Moderators - Local Moderators

Why would the people who pay to support the ongoing development and maintenance of the game not reap the benefits of it? EDIT: failed grammar Oh I agree with that. It's just that there has been a lot of talk of jagex saying one of the two skills would be in part f2p and it would have made sense to have been the gathering skill. I haven't seen a primary source for that so it may well be false.- Behind The Scenes - August 2013
Divination is P2P......figures.- Since F2P Runescape no longer competes...
I would assume it's minimal. I've suggested to Jagex that they open cosmetics and lamps from SoF to F2P in an effort to have F2Pers buy spins, but there was no reply. Presumably Jagex is under the impression that if you're not willing to pay $8/month for a ton of extras, you aren't willing to pay for spins. Which makes sense. I've seen some pure F2Pers buy Runecoins, but it's not many.- Since F2P Runescape no longer competes...
According to this F2P provides Jagex with just 3.3% of their income (pre-2012, which included SOF/SGS and video ads). Right now, there are 8283 F2Pers online out of a total of 60,600. This is 13.7% of online players. Not insignificant, but still a fairly low number. Now, being a primarily F2P player I would love more updates. But the numbers just don't support it. - Runescape Dying? [Discussion/Observation]
