Since the begining I have thought that the SoF has set probabilities for each individual rare/ultra-rare items. So essentially, 200M has a 0.000001 chance, Huge lamp has a 0.001 chance, and so on. Then the SoF would randomly generate say 5 items off a list, rank them according to their predetermined probabilities and then place them accordingly. Then the remaining probability is divied up between the commons. Now obviously it may not work like this, but this is just my thoughts that have been floating around my head. Regardless, it's naive to believe that 200M and a huge lamp have the same probabilities even though they occupy the same slot.

Out of topic but, are you kidding??Tons of games get updated once every 6 months or so, with jagex you get new content every month It was kindof a joke, kinda serious. Jagex does release a lot of content fairly often, but for high level content, there's usually only one a month, if that. (Yes, I know that's better than most other games, but when people say "range/mage equivelant will innevitably be coming soon", soon needs to be put into context)

I would much rather have 3 different sources of 90-Tier weapons than having all 3 come from the same boss. It's just more interesting. And with 3 different sources, you'll inevitably have to wait for some since Jagex isn't really the fastest releaser of content out there.

I got access to the Whaler when I was half way through Scythe and had to start at his Arc story mission. It wouldn't make sense if you could just do the last mission before the previous, now would it? That would make for a confusing time.

If I use my special missions for the day, can I use an "adventurer reroll" and get another (like normal voyages)? Or is it only useful to get a different adventurer?

Yeah I just read the article. Just stay on trusted RS themed sites and I think people will be fine. But I guess it never hurts to protect yourself. One question, would this be able to bypass JAG?

For the first week I had none at all. Then I had at least 2-3 per day. And now I haven't had one in nearly a week again. It is obviously a "random" event, but these streaks of lots then none kinda bother me.

It's good to see P2P sales are more or less the same as the previous year. Ad revenue dropping is most likely because F2P is dead. Years of neglect has really forced F2P from being it's own segment of the game to a temporary place where people either move on to P2P or quit entirely. Jagex did restart video ads before login for F2P in 2012, so that number will likely rise next statement. I haven't a clue what 'Other income' is. IIRC microtransactions only started with the SOF which was early 2012, so not included in this statement.

Oh yeah, misread that. They were in the black for non-exceptional activities though. If only I spoke lawyer and unerstood that those 3 major expenses were....

The way I read page 4 is that they had a loss of 9.9M in a 9 month window, but still had a fiscal year end profit of 6.7M. I do look forward to SDC's analysis since they're always so good at plucking the right info and graphing it.

That quote was made by a person who is no longer at Jagex at a time when there were different owners and under different economic situations. While I may not 'enjoy' the SOF per se, I certainly don't hate it. It's too expensive to be game-breaking but prevelant enough that Jagex gets a decent income that they have already used on the game.

Speaking of monuments... I built a monument to the occultist in the first week, but when I go to the upgrade screen it says there is nothing there when it is. Though I get 2-3 occusltist missions per day, so it probably works... maybe?

I don't know, botwatch did ban pretty quickly when it was live. I think most people lasted no more than a few minutes.

I used to whitescreen fairly often. Updating Java worked for me.

If Jad is the reason you don't have a firecape, might as well use one on him. Otherwise, just use them on monsters with high value drops like Corp or Nex.
