  1. I got P2P on the 17th and didn't get a random until yesterday, when I got 2 in a row. So I don't think they're all that common.
  2. That was the first one I got. Needless to say I was a wee bit confused until I learned what the updates really are.
  3. All I'm getting from the last few pages are people who are tired of the game and don't have the dignity to leave the game without ruining it for the rest of us. 'I don't like how Jagex has handled bots, so I'm gonna bot and show them who's boss!' or 'I no longer enjoy the game, therefore everyone should quit because everyone is wasting their time' are a terrible way to think, and may give some insight into the way you value yourself in relation to others. As I tell every person that comes into the FC I moderate to complain about the game, if you don't like the game, quit. It's healthy for people to grow out of games. But don't drag the rest of the community down with you. Leave with dignity and respect.
  4. these bans had nothing to do with botwatch. These players were posted on hlf and reported multiple times over months and months. And these are not even all of them. One player outright stated he botted 2496 and was going to bot 200m wc at ivy on hlf, and I don't think hes been banned with this group. My mistake. Someone said one was "snatched up" so I assumed it was botwatch. It is very sad that jagex doesn't ban those that openly admit to botting though.
  5. As we saw several months ago, botwatch isn't ready to take the reigns in regards to banning. But as jagex tweaks it, I'm sure some names have come up time and time again. I think this is a sign that jagex at least feels comfortable enough to trust botwatch with some human oversight. And if you're going to have a human checking the botwatch outputs you might as well start at the top.
  6. Well, fish masks were on the common slot for quite a while, and on the SoF for months whereas the new hat requires an item that (as far as I know) is very rare and will only be available for 3 weeks. These will inevitably be far rarer than fish masks, though less rare than other discontinued items.
  7. What is the best setup for LRC? So far I've got; Familiar - War tortoise Aura - Quarrymaster Pick - Dragon Armour - Torag plate/legs I'm probably going to bank all of my ores so I assume war tort is my best bet since I can't use titans yet? Are urns worth the lower inventory space? A recent quest offers a bunch of exp boost for mining. Is it worth getting, or a waste of time?
  8. The general concensus is that waterfields are the best source of crimson charms, and therefore the best exp (since only blues are more exp/charm on average and blue are far more rare). Now, looking at your stats, it's clear that you won't be killing waterfiends for some time, so my suggestion to you is that you train slayer and get your charms that way. From personal experience, slayer monsters are usually some of the better charm droppers there are, and by training slayer, you're not grinding one monster for hours and hours at a time, so it breaks up the monotony well. Also, you're training more skills at once, which is always better. Just for future reference, questions such as this belong in the Help and Advice subforum, as General Discussion is for discussions.
  9. Man, you all make me want to get P2P just for POP. Is it worth it if you only have 1 90+ of the required ones? Or is it just a waste?
  10. As I said in the first post, I know about the POP update. The thing is that I'm 99% sure that bots were back en masse before I went to sleep as I recall reporting a couple dozen vial-bots, but this morning, I can't find a single one (of any kind).
  11. Has there been a server reset in the last 12ish hours? I logged on this morning and not a single bot could be found in W7. I'm certain they had returned after the POP update, but I can't find any now. There are 3 possible reasons for this; An overnight (for me) server update stopped all the bots like usual; A bot-nuke was released; Botwatch was released. Oh, I guess there's a fourth option, I've gone crazy and this is all in my head.
  12. Is it possible to name your ship Serenity? I think that alone would get me to buy membership.
  13. I got blocked for saying "You profited off of Jagex's IP, obviously they're going to go after you". So yeah, he obviously can't take any kind of negative publicity. EDIT in response to Kim's post 2 down: I got blocked from the channel yesterday after I first saw the video and wanted to add my 2 cents. I in no way posted because of anyone else, nor do I suggest other people comment copypasta to his videos.
  14. By now it's too late to get his accs back, so there's really no harm in coming 'clean'. But I do agree with your first 3 points, it's really him trying to justify his actions with the same poor excuses everyone uses. I really don't like how he says he's sure that Jagex had no evidence against him. Obviously there was some because Jagex always errs on the side of caution. Naturally, evidence can be 'wrong' in the sense that they perm'd his friends that he was transfering GP to assuming it was RWT, but to say Jagex had no evidence whatsoever seems to be a gross underestimating of Jagex. You're so wrong in so many ways. You really have no idea. Jagex, in most cases, had no evidence that any of these players were involved with RWT by any means. The only thing they had was large amounts of money (gp) disappearing off their accounts how ever often they chose to sell. This is nothing more than a suggestion that RWT might be a possibility, or another being that they are just very generous and like to give their money to random people across Runescape. Now, obviously, I don't know for sure. However, I do have first hand experience in helping Jagex track and take down RWTers in my homeworld. It's not just the fact that GP was transfered, it's also the context in which it is transfered and the methods used. There is ALWAYS a trail, it's just a matter of knowing what to look for.
  15. I think they're hoping you'll use it on the other guys. So they give you armour that is only really awesome within their realm and arguably useless elsewhere.
  16. Exactly. It's just another case of a Jmod being unprofessional in dealing with company secrets. Just like a certain member of this community who claims to have recieved advanced info on updates. It's not the accepted practice, but it happens.

  18. Tome of frost is +48. The best part is that it allows you to weild a batwing wand which has +450 and a 4-tick speed rather than 6-tick.
  19. 0:13 - Line 4 " This did not work on any other monster "
  20. How do people even find these things? It didn't work with any other NPC so it's not like it's an old glitch that was adapted to QBD on release. And who would accidently subble upon it? Someone decided it would be a good idea to water-strike her to death?
  21. I'm pretty sure the lack of adventure is due to you having played for years. Your experience makes the newbie content seem dumbed down and redundant. My cousin recently started playing and he was having the time of his life adventuring around the game in his first days. Tldr: nostalgia distorts people's views of the difference between the past and present.
  22. Eoc is the evolution of combat, a complete overhaul of the system. (http://services.runescape.com/m=rswiki/en/Evolution_of_Combat) Runespan makes rc'ing fairly afk and increases exp like 5-10x. (http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=runespan.htm)
  23. Value isn't the same as actual currency so resource bots don't directly bring in gp just value in the form of items. They may cause more gp to made through the system if the resources are eventually alched but I would argue that resource bots work more or less neutral because on the whole the gp gained by alching is not significantly high compared to the the value of the materials that simply disappear.
  24. No matter how low Jagex priced gold someone would always be there to undercut them. Also the runaway inflation would be nuts. Rwt for now is within the system so no gp is created other destroyed just transferred. Jagex selling gp would kill the economy.
