  1. I ran into someone with a fair number of points (for F2P) in their inventory that was quite angry that they hadn't been doubled when the weekend started. I had to explain to them that only points gained during the weekend were doubled, not previously gained (but not claimed) points. What Jagex should have said is that the number or runes gained per siphon would be doubled, giving you double points in the process.
  2. There is a rumour going around now that more people siphoning a node makes it last longer. In my experience, this is false. Has anyone done any tests to confirm this one way or the other? Is the fail rate of nodes related to the fail rate of the elemental creatures (ie: fireball fail rate = fire essling fail rate)? What is the formula for calculating exp/h assuming you use the 9-rune method to prevent the creature from disapearing? This is what I've got, but something just doesn't seem right. 3600 seconds per hour / .6 seconds per tick = 6000 ticks per hour / 2 ticks per attempt = 3000 attempts per hour / number of runes gained = success rate * experience per rune = experience per hour
  3. Yeah, I haven't been able to play for weeks without seeing the same Stella Artois comercial before logging in.
  4. No one's saying that F2P won't get a combat overhaul. What we're saying is that F2P players won't have access to the beta, or at least will have limited access compared to members. Obviously there are features of the combat overhaul that will probably be members only, but in general I expect the overhaul to change free aspects as well. I guess I didn't word that right, by 'this' I meant the beta. What I'm saying is that if the beta is P2P only, no member is going to waste their time trying out F2P wepons and armour, leading to all the (F2P) problems that they're trying to have the community find will make it through the beta into the actual game.
  5. Quite honestly, F2P combat is so different than P2P that this needs to be F2P or this 'rebalancing' will inevitably fail.
  6. While that is technically untrue given parts of the multiverse theory (infinite universes means at least some are complex etc), I believe that the probability of an omnipotent creator is higher than the probability of a universe randomly creating itsself in a complex way, much less in such a way as to support life.
  7. Well technically, there can be many 'correct' religions assuming they adhere to the same god. Chritianity, Islam, and Judaism are all Abrahamic Religions, so if God is real all 3 religions are true* but only one diety is real. * Depending on your definition of 'true'. Christianity claims in the divinity of Jesus and the other two do not. So if God did send Jesus, rejection of his teachings could result in the other two religions becoming 'untrue' even though they adhere to the same god.
  8. Finally after a long long time I got this 80 Runespanning and all 80+ EDIT: And now all skills 2M+ exp and exactly 10k points
  9. Was unaware the cosmetic items were P2P only, though shoulda figured....
  10. Siphoning a Fire storm when it turned into a member node. I kept siphoning and even got the exp that the P2P node should give. It didn't give runes though.
  11. I was planning on doing that later on after I got general exp rates. Do you or anyone else, know how many siphoning attempts you do per hour?
  12. I'm going to camp each creature using the 9 rune trick and post the exp/h you can get with just the creatures (at level 77 rc). Air essling - 22500 exp/h Mind essling - 22700 exp/h Water essling - 26300 exp/h Earth essling - 26200 exp/h Fire essling - 33900 exp/h Body - 36800 exp/h
  13. I just hope bonfires aren't too AFK. With Runespan, and now this, they're just making it into AFKscape.
  14. I noticed this in F2P as well. There are some P2P nodes that pop up (probably as a P2P teaser) that can't be siphoned. This leads to a bunch of P2P nodes allowing only a few F2P nones to spawn. Quite anoying.
  15. My tests are showing the same rate. Kinda makes me sad thinking back to the old days when I got 75 rc on air runes @ 5k exp/h..... so it goes.
  16. Black hole turned into a 'runesphere' that the wizards moved around. EDIT: Runesphere turned to 'pure energy' and disapeared along with the wizards.
  17. Am I the only one who really hates how they've increasingly referred to the world as Runescape as opposed to Gielinor in-game?
  18. I would love to see Andrew apply and get an interview just to see how current Jagex management would react. Or, we could all apply and swamp Jagex in thousands of applications and just make an HR nightmare.
  19. I've had this a few times, but it's pretty rare. Even though I don't like it, I understand the need because F2P does need to be more than a 'dead weight'. I recall a fair number of years ago they tried to do this but removed it because F2Pers didn't like it. Somehow I doubt they'll be as accommodating this time  Overall, it's so rare that I don't really care a whole lot.
  20. I thought they implemented a system to automatically mute spambots. Wonder what happened to that or how it got broken. They were really going hard on the automated system for a while and it worked great. Until, either by accident or clever marketing, it went 'viral' that saying certain phrases got you muted. People would walk into a crouded place or chat, and say "Omg my main got automuted for saying [name of RWT site], that's BS" or something of the sort. Naturally, all the kids there would say that site, get muted, and repeat the whole process. There was a LOT of mess to clean up with that, so Jagex took a step back with the automated mutes. Though lately I've noticed that there is essentially no automated mute system in place. If there is, it's very easy to avoid using simple tricks like spaces. TL;DR - too many false positives to have an effective auto-mute system.
  21. Could try my spreadsheet of skill related money makers found here. Or my RC spreadsheet found here. They're both not really 100% complete, but they give a decent idea on the general trends. The RC one won't be much use for making money, except the GOP section at the bottom.
  22. First time hitting 750M :shades: Feels weird to say that I have 3/4 of a Bill now... I Know it's not much compared to many people here, but considering it was all made in F2P (all I do in P2P is blow it on skills), I don't think it's so bad.
  23. didnt you quit a year ago and still post every update about how shitty rs is now? If im not confusing you with someone else Nope, that's him. Funny how he bashes the bad community, but is himself refusing to leave it, or even make it better. @pal2002 People care about bots, and do what they can to get rid of them. The problem is that Jagex's system is set up to minimize false positives, which gives rise to a lot of bots slipping through the cracks. I understand this, even though I know it means more bots in RS. I personally spend over half an hour a day reporting bots. That may not seem like much, but that can number well into the hundreds. That's aside from the countless spambots I mute sitting at the GE while doing other things like studying. I know I'm not studying efficiently when I am logged on RS as well, but I do it for the community. So don't you dare say that no one cares.
  24. Just watched the sketch and must say it's comedic gold. Even though I often feel like I'm missing something as I'm not British, I do enjoy the 'classics' of British comedy.
