I was making a joke about how people can't take a joke anymore. Either that's true, or my wording was bad because it was late. Regardless.... the people who come up with these things and the higher up management/investors probably never have contact except for important matters anyway. I HIGHLY doubt that the random JMod who made this little easter egg had anyone influence them at all. People have to remember that most Jagex employees take great pride in this game and the community, and just because the investors seem determined to suck the life out of the game, doesn't mean that the game staff will do it when they're not directly told to. Now, I don't know if this is true, but I heard of JMods quitting over the SoF update. If that's true, it just goes to show that the only thing that has changed in Jagex is the management, not the feeling 'on the floor'.

Back in my day Jagex could put easter eggs into the game and people would laugh. Today, people overanalyze things and make assertions that Jagex is making reference to their undereducated and slightly barbaric userbase. Dang kids these days....

I actually tried this with one of my older accounts the other day to see how easy it was. I filled in all of the information that I would expect someone to be able to find; IPS, location, age of the account, etc. Essentially everything except the recoveries and the old passwords. It was denied and it essentially said that so long as I didn't have at least one old password, it would always be denied. So as long as you make your recoveries random and not able to guess (ie: 'who was your first friend' - 'potatochips') and keep your passwords secure (ie: unique password for RS), you should be fine.

This was fixed with the new store update today. The general store now buys maples for a flat rate of 24 gp each, and willows at 12 gp each.

Once you can 1-hit iron, I think you can get maybe 1k ores/hour mined with depositing. You need 25k iron to get 72, so I would say minimum 25 hours. Though starting slower since you're a lower level, and normal inefficiences, I'd guess more like 35 hours.

My calls for how the playoffs will go. No real surprises except maybe Vancouver. I really think if the twins and Luo step up their game, they can take it all. If you have access to the dwarf mines resource dungeon (15 dunge iirc) then you could mine outside the dungeon, enter to use the deposit box, then return to the ores outside. Unless you use mousekeys to drop, I'm pretty sure it's just as fast as dropping, but with profit.

Unless they changed it, it should be 2 minutes. It appears to others after 1 minute and disapears another minute later. That is, except for a few exceptions like in the wilderness etc.

The problem as far as I can tell is the fact that the RWT companies make a ton of ads with slighly different URLs so that when sites like TIF try to block them, they have to block hundreds of individual URLs. Google ads only allows a select number of blocked URLs, so it makes it hard to prevent RWT ads getting though.

I've been looking at the RSOF and I've seen a few mentions of a screenshot making the rounds saying that's it's done and just waiting for release. Anyone have proof of this? Or is it just RSOF being the RSOF?

I've been sitting on a stack of GP for quite some time, nervous to invest it into anything because of the looming botnuke 2.0 because if it comes too late, my investments will keep crashing because of the massive volumes of raw materials coming into the game now. I've looked on the RSOF for hints about when Optimus will be released, but can only find a few vague claims by people. Does anyone here have any evidence as to when Optimus will be released?

Not new. It's actually REALLY old. Ever since they switched the report interface which was years ago. Now RWT is reportable under encouraging rule breaking (when they mention they buy gold) or macroing (when you see those level 3's that RWTers use as mules, mostly because they don't talk so it's the only rule you really can report them for). So what you're saying is that it's 15k exp for $1. That is WAY too high. Essentially, the max is buying 3M exp per day for $200. :wall: EDIT: Just realized that's at all 99's, so it will be a little less for non-maxed players, but still too high.

Quite honestly, most of those actions are not really indicitive of a real troll. Trolling in its 'purest' sense is just posting a non-inflamitory comment in hopes of inciting an inflamitory response. Most 'trolls' on the internet these days are just rude and over agressive douches who think that posting stupid things is trolling. I do really think that this is -at face value- a good idea. It will help in instances of online bullying in particular. However, until we see the complete Bill, we can't really say for sure. SOPA at face value was positive too, until you get into the exact wording. Such is law... intent and execution are rarely on the same level.
