WHile I hate people who waste their beta access on non-combat related things, I actually really like that someone did this. Back when crackers were release, no one cared enough to get a drop rate, and now no one is stupid enough to pop that many crackers. Like he said in the vid, I would like to see someone compile all the results from all of the smaller tests and get as many samples as we can to find the true phat rate.

No, I figured that if I was gonna get P2P for the cape, I might as well finish off 99 there as well. My methods to 99 were this: 1-75 - air runes (5k exp/h = 240h) 75-94 - F2P runespan (40k exp/h = 170h) 94-99 - P2P runespan (100k exp/h = 50h) My exp rates are lower than most figures because I afk'd it a lot.

Wait until after the combat overhaul until you call it completely useless. For now it may not be great, but with the new combat system it could be a really enjoyable piece of content. Or, it could suck a lot. But I'm waiting before I condemn to to the rank of 'dead content'.

Skilling maxes at like 250k/h with GOP (rune mining is higher on average I think, but I've never heard a firm answer for gp/h) and combat is essentially break even. Gambling is there in F2P, but not as much as P2P. So yeah, merching is the best bet.

We've gone over this question countless times on TIF. The overwhelming response is no. Other than a few people who play RS full-time, Runescape is pretty much solely a 'time filler' that people play when they're bored or have nothing else to do. While working IRL for minimum wage would be a lot more productive, there aren't many jobs that you can do in the times that a lot of people play RS (ie: a little before school, during breaks, late night, etc).

I got 240k exp in 2.5 hours sticking to the same two islands, doing whatever nodes came along. So I'm sure 120k/h is attainable without too much effort.

I just got P2P and am planning on runespanning to 99. What sort of tips and tricks do people have? What nodes or creatures should I be siphoning? Should I stick to one particular island that people find good, or should i just pick a random one and hope for good spawns? I am 50k to 94 rc. Thanks.

Had an offer in the ge way below price for months in hopes of sniping one (better in the GE than in my bank I figured). Went away for the weekend and came back to this... Quite happy that a long term goal of mine is complete. Quite sad that they are now 720M and I have 50 gp to my name (thank you SOF!).

At one time didn't Jagex tout its 'incredible amount of F2P content' based on the amount of time S Diamant Y had to his account? At least I think that was the player.

Are you sure it's a glitch? I would assume that's it's just badly designed mechanics. Regarless, you can pretty much guess what it is by the name alone. And no, it's not worth it. Assuming you have enough ess to do it indefinitly, you can get 42k exp/h at 60% success which is what I averaged at 80 RC. Just camping one island, siphoning the good nodes, and bodyhounds for ess when there isn't a good node, I can easily top that afk'ing.

So 5 hours a day is 150h in one month or 300h for two. That's 87k exp/h if you want to be done in one month, 43k exp/h if you want to be done in two months. Realistically, that's pretty much any skill except maybe slayer because you don't have access to top gear and weapons. You could do double or even tripple (or more) 99's. Combat through slayer can train a bunch of 99's and get slayer quite high. Or mining and then superheating and alching can doe mining, smithing and mage. Tbh, there are so many options of things, you can just look for a combo of things you want to do and do them to 99.

My general word of advice is to not 'go for 99' for the sake of a random 99, rather train the skills you enjoy and if you're close to maxing, then finish it off. But if you really want advice on a 99 you can get in 1-2 months, you'll have to tell us how many hours approx. you play per day.

Isn't that offer only for first time members? I thought that in that thread someone said it was. Anyway vox1st, I would say that if you enjoyed being a member before, you will enjoy it now. Perhaps only buy a month or two at a time just in case you find yourself not wanting to play anymore. Also, for the money grubbing, it's mostly because Jagex is now owned by investors and not actual gamers (as it was when the Gowers owned majority). Therefore they try to suck up all the profit possible to please the shareholders and not what the Gowers did which was a lot less 'make as much money as possible' and more 'make enough to live comfortably and still invest in the longevity of the game'.

Are you sure Chaeldar assigned you fungal mages? According to this she doesn't assign any fungal creatures. The only thing similar would be the infernal mages but those require 45 slayer, and your signature only has you at 40, so I'm fairly confused. There are a few possibilities; 1 - You were assigned a creature you don't have the level for 2 - You went to a different slayer master (Duradel is the only one that assigns Fungal Mages) 3 - Tipit's slayer assignment list is incomplete and should be updated

Dragon hatchet DOES increase the logs per hour over rune hatchet. I've heard that it's 10-15% better, though I'm not sure of that has been tested properly.

Does this update even include F2P? Because if it does I've wasted today lol. Yes. I've been getting double runes all day and I'm F2P. I think that this 'Mad May' is all about giving F2Pers member items in hopes we subscribe to claim them. First the common horns/tatoos that I got on most of my F2P accounts but can't claim because they're member items, and now points that are utterly useless in F2P. Oh well, guess I'll have horns and a ton of runespan points waiting for the next time I get P2P.
