  1. Unless there are people with warnings already, such as though who've bought back their banned accounts. Or have recieved temp bans in the past.
  2. True. But that would require a fairly good detection system that they just don't have now. I'm not saying it can't be done, but they've said very little about the back-end parts of this update, and have focused telling us about the visual. I hope you're right, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high.
  3. I agree, Kaida. 3-strikes is too much for bots. Especially since the majority are throw away goldfarming accounts. All the RWTers have to do is bot until they get 2 warnings, transfer the GP to a mule (or sell it off directly from the goldfarmer bot) and then create new accounts.
  4. That's the original dongle from the idea years ago correct, Mercifull?
  5. How does the splitting of the Godsword into 4 separate (rather than simply alternate versions) swords fit within the godwars lore? I was under then impression that the lore said there was 1 sword that was shattered into shards. But this seems to indicate that there are 4 completely different godswords (through a lore standpoint, not stats). I could be wrong though, not much of a lore buff, just currious.
  6. Oracle has released a new Java update that patched the security flaw. http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-57503787-263/oracle-patches-java-7-vulnerability/
  7. Tipit's newbsbot compiles all homepage updates and posts them here http://forum.tip.it/forum/27-runescape-news/.
  8. Jagex has said that they 'have ways of ensuring the number of rares in the game remains constant'. I assume that means that they dump the rares from banned accounts, but it could mean a number of things.
  9. As far as I know, Jagex has only ever said once how much they confiscate from RWTers in their Jagex versus RWT DevDiary. I don't know the exact inflation rate, but I'd say since GP is 1/10th the price it was back in 06, your estimate in the low trillions per year is close. Though, that is what Jagex finds and bans, much more gets through.
  10. It's more likely that they ban bots constantly (albeit slowly) and purge the names from the HS when they purge it of F2P accounts than to assume they wait and do 'mass' bans every week.
  11. My thoughts have been included in the appropriate thread where they should be (http://forum.tip.it/...ults-970-spins/). Just because you don't agree with someone doesn't mean they're corrupt. Being corrupt is "Having or showing a willingness to act dishonestly in return for money or personal gain." This forum moderator has nothing to gain from this. Their only goal is to keep order on the RSOF based on the rules and proceedures given to them by Jagex. I don't blame them one bit for getting rid of those people who don't know how to follow a few simple rules.
  12. I haven't been able to load the homepage either, though I can access everything else (I get there via Google).
  13. As soon as the bot nuke happens, frosts should clear up and be decent money makers again. So if that's something you were wanting to do, I would suggest getting 85 Dunge now in anticipation of that bot nuke.
  14. When I got cere robe top in F2P it said it was a P2P item but I could still claim it and wear it.
  15. Ships? Pirates? Sailing! If we're all so into metaphors, I think of it like this. A chef starts a little restaurant where he spends most of his time in the kitchen, making new dishes. Everyone loves these unique foods, so the restaurant becomes more popular. Eventually because of demand another one opens in the chain. The chef takes on the responsibility of running that one as well. He still can cook, but his time is slowly shifting more towards the actual managing of the business. 10 years down the road and multiple restaurants in the chain, the chef is no longer able to do anything in the kitchen as he spends all of his time on the business side of the restaurant. He may be making a boatload of money, and it's his 'baby', but he's not doing what he truly loves: innovating in the kitchen. I don't blame that chef for selling the chain to start another small restaurant where he can do what he truly loves, and not just sit behind a desk signing papers all day.
  16. It also helps keep negative IVP posts from showing up on Google searches. With so many posts concerning IVP on the RSOF, it's inevitable that some will get onto the first page in Google search, and they just can't have that.
  17. Remember, bots can stay online for 24h/day
  18. I've got 4/5 of the pieces using only my 2 daily spins, a couple 'earned' skiller tickets, and a few quest tickets. In all maybe 100 spins. So I'm either really lucky, Den is really unlucky, or both.
  19. It's pretyt much exactly the same as it was, except now there is no 4-hour limit between buying and selling. There is still the max items per 4 hour limit though. Also, most margins on items are crap because everyone merches these days.
  20. http://www.autohotkey.net/~Meredith/phat.html I was bored InB4 this is used to gamble on RS. Opening Crackers to gamble? Don't be ridiculous. Someone could just make an IRC bot that simulates cracking crackers just like Hedgehog's. Though dice bots will probably stay the most popular.
  21. More cracker results. Quite interesting IMO.
  22. I guess that confirms the debate about whether the rewards are randomized when you get the clue, or when you solve the last one (if people were still wondering that).
  23. I have noticed that the number of people online is going up roughly the same speed as the accounts created counter. I don't know how that would work, but it may be worth considering.
