There are too many old school games which are good to mention (because they are mostly all better than new games imo) You sound as if you like RPG and RTS games, maybe try baldur's gate, older C&C games. But mainly, google 'best pc games ever' and you will mostly find lots of old school pc games.

I've had the same done to me in the past, lost Full bandos, fury, d boots, whip etc that I was wearing while hopping worlds, the hacker had changed my password while I was on-line so when I logged out was unable to get back on. they dropped it all in the party room. Luckily my bank pin saved the rest of my things. I would suggest starting off with barrows or slayer to get the money to buy your general gear with, then maybe boss hunting.

But what right does Argentina have to it? They have no historical rights to it, they have no people rights to it (being that the population is mainly British). The only right they have to it is the proximity to the islands, which are not exactly close. Spain and England had claims to sovereignty of the islands. Spain left the islands uninhabited and withdrew from the islands leaving England with the rule there. Argentina then gained its independence and then claimed they owned the islands. They have basically no rights to it.

I know what you are getting at, but from previous attempt at mass bans (penguins) the temporary bans handed out were very short and nothing compared to what they should be for the offence. It seems very odd that Jagex seem to have a large gap in their banning process. The longest temporary ban I have ever heard about is 2 weeks (all of rs, not just this bug). From that they go straight to a permanent ban. Surely an intermediate should be there, something in a high months.

Indeed. 14 days is pathetic. a 2 week break from the game is something many voluntarily do. It will have 0 effect on stopping people abusing bugs in the future.

Temp is 14 days. Friend just told me, he made 100mil from it. Imo that is pathetic and actually outrages me. If people find out all you get for cheating and making 100m is a 2 week ban it will make people more likely to abuse bugs in the future. I'm so disgusted by it I may even post on the RSOF about it.

A year would be acceptable. I think anything shorter than 6 months is a travesty. That is no deterrent to other people who may abuse bugs in the future.

I agree. You would expect people who have played the game for that long to know not to cheat, but it's their fault, so good riddance of the cheaters.

Indeed it is. Personally I find it a bit disheartening only that few amount of accounts have been banned. And temporary bans imo are not enough. People need to be taught a lesson, not let off the leash like that. Although seeing that Jagex do not care who you are when they do the bans is a good sign.

The only reason Argentina want them is for money. Almost all the inhabitants are British or of British descent and have been for years. The dispute has only started since Britain decided to mine the oil rich seas around the islands. Argentina want the money, not the islands. Britain will not initiate a war I know that for a fact, but if Argentina decide to invade again, I would fully support our troops taking back the island for a second time. I will say again, Argentina just want the money. It's like selling a friend an old watch you think is worthless, then he finds out it is worth millions and demanding that you get it back, it just is not going to happen. If pushed we will fight them yet again.

The same can be said here in the UK. I hate to sound big headed in the English language, but I see the reason as being the fact that you can get by in a lot of the world by speaking English, so a second language is rarely required. However, if my native language was German, i would struggle to get by in a lot of other countries without using a second language (usually English).

As I said, it is only artificial deflation. It gives the sense of deflation in that the prices change as they would, but GP does not exit the game (unless players are planning on mass training of construction) But it is doing what everybody has complained about for a long time now. Raw prices are rising, expensive prices are lowering.

I do agree that during the first few months are the best times for MMO's, as they usually do not attract the idiots and usually people are fairly helpful as they are around the same levels. This. As MHL said, people are freeing up money for this weekend to invest in summoning and herb. Therefore there is practically no demand for those items and people are trying to sell them to gain the cash for the weekend. Another example is that of the "God Armour" Bandos is going down by 1m a day and Armadyl is down 700K each today. AGS down 4m today, SGS down 3m today, ZGS down 1m, and BGS down 1m. Yet another is the Arcane SS which is down 3.5m and BSS is down 266K. and DFS is down 1.4m After the weekend they'll head back up. But how will they 'head back up' when those people have spent all their money on the weekend? I see this as a good artificial deflation technique by Jagex. It has done what we all wanted for so long. Raw materials are sky rocketing, and expensive's and rares are plummeting.

Indeed, Wikipedia a great source if I want somewhere to start when looking at a topic. It is like a text book, has the general information you need, but if you want to write something Academic, you will need to dig deeper. Also, a few years ago, somebody from my course at uni edited something about the course and the teaching staff on wiki, but I forget what and where it actually was.

Putting archers in towers and walls was something the developers messed up on imo. Doing so gave the archers no range boost, so an army of archers would come to your wall and pick your archers off one by one as they were basically on equal terms.

The whole legal system in the UK is a fail. Basically imo, the enforcement of Human rights in life is holding back civilization. I personally believe criminals null their human rights when they commit a crime and should not have as much as they do. Giving people the short sentences that they currently get is no deterrent for criminals.

That is rather strange. One thing that is bugging me is that the Us team is yet to do a public launch of their car. Only 2 weeks to go and they don't seem to be too into the game.
