Although when you get down to it, slayer is a non-combat skill. In the sense that it doesn't effect your combat level. But that is just a technicality, slayer is a combat oriented skill which I would approximate 99.99% use combat to train (is it even possible to train it without any sort of combat?). It's like me calling my hoover a hoover, when it is a Dyson, but it is still a hoover.(bad example:))

However, despite that, it does work somehow. You cannot dispute the fact that the Wii has managed to outsell both the Ps3 and 360. It is in my opinion at the next level of console. The Ps3 and 360 are just gaming consoles, whereas the Wii has managed to go past that to a sort of home entertainment system. Much like many families end up having DVD players near their Televisions, people will end up having Wii's, or the next generation which adapts the formula (natal). It has brought gaming to generations that would without it never game at all. It has revolutionised the way we now think of advancing technology, no longer about graphics but about innovation. Gone are the days of sub-£20 games for almost all platforms. And I think the reason for that is going to be the reason we won't see any new consoles for a very long time. A lot of gamers are being priced out of the market. Even at the moment the Ps3 and to an extent, the 360 if you include Live are very expensive compared to consoles of the same age (Ps2 at 4 years old compared to the Ps3 at 4 years old). Until the prices come down, I can't see any feasible way for any company to make anything better than what we already have. The Ps3 is not being pushed to its limits, so making something more powerful and more expensive would be market suicide. Also, don't count out Nintendo. I don't quite get why people leave them out of the console wars, when they are the market leader. I can compare it to bands that start with a niche audience but soon become liked by everybody, and then the original niche abandons them. It seems exactly the same with most gamers and Nintendo. Now it has mass appeal, it has been abandoned by 'gamers'. If I could afford one, it would be the console I would buy in a heartbeat. As the Wii has done, and as other companies are now trying to copy, Graphics do not make the system, innovation does. Straight up in a fight, the Ps3 should beat the Wii, but it has not, and has failed miserably because it is a Ps2 with better graphics, with little or no innovation.

Is there any way of playing the old N64 LOZ games, Ocarina and Mask without having a Wii or an N64?

Actually, a fire cape is a reward for completeing a fight caves task, which you get slayer experience for. It's also required to kill ice wyrms, in case you didn't read today's updates. :rolleyes: Lol... can always count on somebody clueless to post about something I say. They have been giving out fire capes long long before they RECENTLY decided to let you make a slayer task out of it. And congradulations figuring out what requirement I was talking about. Fire capes have also long been the best cape to slay in, prior to the soul wars cape. Fire capes are primarily, without a doubt a melee combat cape. That is their one and only use. It makes sense to have to use one to kill a creature requiring you to have mastered almost all combat.

+3 Prayer bonus is really trivial in PvP situations, so I don't think so. +3 Prayer bonus is, at worst, a matter of sipping 1 extra ppot dose. I think he's right on the prayer bonus. It is usually used because of that and its high melee defence. The new helm has neither, so you may as well wear an Ahrim's hood.

Am i the only one a little creeped that those giant things are under our feet when playing? I'm glad there is a fire cape requirement, if you can spend hundreds of hours getting 90+ slayer, surely you can spend two more getting the cape.

Settlers 3 is a game that basically hooked me into management/RTS games. I have always loved that in the games, they rarely focus on military (except heritage of kings which I did not like). This lets you get on with building great cities. The reasons you disliked rise of an empire are the reasons I loved it. Although i would disagree that it wasn't simple, as after playing the tutorial it is very easy. I loved the fact you could sit there and watch an item such as meat, go from a deer to the storehouse. Then see a tanner take the carcass from the storehouse to the tannery, work the hide out the back of hid shop, then put the finished product on sale at the front. Seeing that for a numerous items in the game felt great. The attention to detail grabbed me. And the fact the cities didn't stick out of the landscape, they actually fit in was good. I will definitely buy paths to a kingdom when it is released.

I don't think her voice suits the slower parts, but the rest I think sounds good. The guitar is pretty good, the best part of that song.

I think a 'tri-pod' like stand for it would be a good addition, allowing you to set it up at a certain angle/area and it will start recording. You then go back to your own screen and act out your scene/action. Once done, you can go back to the orb and it will have recorded all the action that had taken place in its view during the time. It would need a time limit of around 5 minutes or something like that.

No, they have been changed to match their inventory icon now. I saw a blue one yesterday. Ah I see, i misread it as the other way around, that they had changed the inventory icon to match the worn look. Although never owning any of them, i did not know there was a difference.
