Did the hype of the German TOKIO HOTEL get to other countries than Holland and Germany yet? ... The girls love them. Apparentely the person with the black hair (Bill, their singer) is a guy.

After the two concerts I didn't like I'm going to see TOOL 27th of June. Going to be my first concert of a band I like. Just got my tickets. :)

And still she manages to get what she wants most: attention. Paris Hilton rocks.
-
Hehe, that's Akon.
-
Yea, but they didn't have a very good team four years ago when they made it to the W.C. final either. Plus they got the advatage of playing in their own country.
-
Of course they well. Germany always plays good at the big tournament. They play in their own country. But if Ballack isn't there with them they won't get that far. He really needs to do it. They also did very good with their friendly matches just before the tournament. Oh, and I dreamed tonight that we (holland) lost to itally with 7 - 1.

I got a special plank for DVD's with sleeve, digipacks and box-sets. So It's all even. :) Not packed together tight of course. :P

LÃÆü cao di - Maybe better known as MONGOLIAN PING PONG, but most likely it is unknown. Nice movie, director shows what he wanted to show. Very nice photography and music. Also the children do a good job. Too bad it lacks in story-telling because sometimes it gets a bit boring, but still surprising at some moments. Not exceptionally good, but not bad either. 6.5/10 ven te verrassen. 6.5/10 Volver - AlmodÃÆóvar does it again. One of the must see art-house film of 2006. 8/10

The fourth one looks like she had a sex-operation. Anyway, I don't need those pictures to know not to use hard-drugs. I don't regularly use drugs, sometimes a hash/weed joint (I live in Holland, so it's perfectly legal), but that's pretty harmless (on the base I use it). Keep it dosed and don't do nasty drugs, then you won't be of too bad (that's just an advice for people who do use it). Best advice of course is to not use it at all. Oh, wait. That's the same person all the time. :P I thought it was like, six different persons. Upper picture being "Before" and the the lower picture "After".

Winners: Netherlands Runner-Up: Germany Third Place: Brazil Fourth Place: England That's the way it's gonna be. Germany vs. Netherlands in the final. This time we'll win. 8-)

Apart space for digipacks, apart space for box-sets. Apart space for giftsets. The rest is all from A to Z and on director so it goes like this: Kill Bill Vol. 1 Kill Bill Vol. 2 Kubrick, Stanley (Stanley Kubrick Collection) Kurosawa, Akira (Akira Kurosawa Collection) L'enfant Last Emperor, The Laurel and Hardy Silents 1 Laurel and Hardy Silents 2 Anyway, looking nice, Indy! Huge room! I wish my room was as big as that.
-
Hehe, that was just what I needed before going to work, thanks! :)

I've been wondering where you were all these years, Mr. Einstein! Here I am. :) Got any questions, my young padawan?
-
It's a nice sugestion, and I wouldn't have much problems with doing it. But I wonder if there's much animo for it. I guess we could give it a try next week. :)
-
Wonder No More. Yay! I've got one! 8-)
-
Pst, don't think in genres. The only thing it does is narrowing your mind.
-
A bit pointless to post half your playlist... At the moment I can't get enough of TOOL. If they are the best, I wouldn't know.
-
Ah okay. Tell me about it! :)
-
You see, nakedness doesn't seem to embarrass me that much? ;) Yea, but you were wearing a thong. I wasn't wearing anything. :P
-
!! Another guy on a Dutch forum is going alone as well. He's living pretty close to me and I'm passing the station he needs to get on. So we're most likely going together then! Woohoo, How2PK is going to TOOL. ^.^

How2PK replied to WutangFlu's topic in Art and Media
If you like you could make me a movie/world cinema related one. I leave it up to you what you want to make and how you want to make it; from size to colours and everything around it (though I prefer it NOT to be full size, unless you like that better of course). I've got complete confidence in your creativity and judgement. :) If you want to do it of course. If you want to put a name in it could you be so kind to put in "Daan" instead of "How2PK". :) -
Alright, the greatest movie of the first part of the 80's is over. Time for a new tournament. This time we're going to do best movie of the period of 1950 till 1959. For those who don't know. Yes, they did make movies before THE GODFATHER. The 50s is the decade of Marlon Brando, James Dean, Grace Kelly, Nicholas Ray, Alfred Hitchcock and Akira Kurosawa. But also the end of the Itallian Neo-Realism in the early 50s and the start of a new era: the French New Wave, in the late 50s which was an amazing influence to modern favorites as Scorsese, Spielberg, De Palma and Coppola. In the first part of the 80s tournament everybody could name as much movies as they wanted. We're going do it Philly style this time. Everybody can choose to add a list of 10 or 20 movies. That means no lists of 5, 15, 12 or 7. movies. At the end the 20 movies with the most votes are going to be in the tournament. The rest of the tournament is going to be the same the 80s tournament. The rules have changed a little bit. Otherwise we couldn't keep the tournament. Keep it friendly and have fun. PS. Phil, could you de-sticky the other Tournament thread and Sticky this one? Thanks. :) [done - Phil] Alrighty. After a while we're going to start this tournament. There are 17 movies automatically qualified for the tournament. 16 of these had 2 or more votes. One of them is one of the 27 movies with only 1 vote. The movie with the higest rating on IMDB is added to the 16 automatically qualified. Otherwise it's not possible to keep everything going smoothly. You will vote for the other 26 movies with 1 vote, and 13 of them will qualify them for the tournament. 1. The Blob (1958) 6.1 (IMDB) 2. Lady and the Tramp (1955) 7.3 (IMDB) 3. Peter Pan (1953) 7.2 (IMDB) 4. Rashmon (Akira Kurosawa - 1950) 8.5 (IMDB) 5. Bellissima (Luchino Visctonti ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 1951) 7.9 (IMDB) 6. Umberto D. (Vittorio deSica ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 1952) 8.5 (IMDB) 7. High Noon (Fred Zinnemann - 1952) 8.3 (IMDB) 8. Tokyo monogatari (Yasujiro Ozu - 1953) 8.1 (IMDB) 9. La Strada (Fedrico Fellini - 1954) 8.0 (IMDB) 10. Les Diaboliques (Henri-Georges Clouzot - 1955) 8.4 (IMDB) 11. Kanal (Andrzej Wajda - 1956) 8.5 (IMDB) 12. Det Sjunde inseglet (Ingmar Bergman - 1957) 8.4 (IMDB) 13. Hiroshima mon amour (Alain Resnais - 1959) 7.9 (IMDB) 14. Les Enfants Terrible (1950) 7.4 (IMDB) 15. A Christmas Carol (1951) 8.0 (IMDB) 16. From Here to Eternity (1953) 7.8 (IMDB) 17. Guys and Dolls (1955) 7.2 (IMDB) 18. Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) 8.0 (IMDB) 19. Harvey (1950) 8.2 (IMDB) 20. Roman Holiday (1953) 8.0 (IMDB) 21. The Night of the Hunter (1955) 8.2 (IMDB) 22. Sabrina (1954) 7.7 (IMDB) 23. The Trouble with Harry (1955) 7.2 (IMDB) 24. Some Like It Hot (1959) 8.3 (IMDB) 25. The African Queen 8.1 (IMDB) 26. Strangers On A Train 8.3 (IMDB) 27. Ice-Cold in Alex 7.3 (IMDB) Behind the movie you can see the rating it got on IMDB. There are three movies with the highest rating. And that's 8.5 (Don't shoot me because they're movies I suggested, it wasn't 'planned' or something). So out of those three movies the one with the most votes is going to continue. 1. RashÃÆÃâÃâômon (Akira Kurosawa - 1950) 8.5 (IMDB) 16.330 votes 2. Umberto D. (Vittorio deSica ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 1952) 8.5 (IMDB) 2.164 votes 3. Kanal (Andrzej Wajda - 1956) 8.5 (IMDB) 555 votes So. The winner is RashÃÆÃâÃâômon and is automatically qualified for the tournament. The movies that are going to compete in the tournament! 1. Vertigo (1958) 2. North by Northwest (1959) 3. Rear Window (1954) 4. Paths of Glory (1957) 5. On the Waterfront (1954) 6. A Streetcar Named Desire (1951) 7. Ben-Hur (1959) 8. Rebel Without a Cause (1955) 9. 12 Angry Men (1957) 10.
