  1. abyssal area is much less crowded, but it has some other monsters running around aswell. If your combat is high enough to stop abyssal guardians from attacking, use the abyss. There's a spot right next to where you teleport in which is free of abyssal walkers and has 4-5+ abby demons. If you don't like the abyss, you can always go to the slayer tower and bring ~200 air strikes. Just shoot a demon in the room and your guaranteed to get it before the crowds.
  2. 2 super sets, ~8 pray pots if praying 10% strength (works great there imo), 2 bunyips or guthans. You won't need both. For armour, standard melee defence gear. They have *very* low attack so you can afford to lose defence for offense (dropping a barrows top for prossy top+10% strength works good). If fighting in the slayer tower, remember a nose peg. If fighting in abyss, remember your dramen staff. ~20 high alchs summoning pot teleport emergency food (bring ~4 monks or pizzas just incase they get some very lucky hits in. Chances are you'll end up dropping these, so don't bring alot - leave yourself inv space, you'll need it.) I think that's just about it. You can choose whether or not you want to take ring of wealth, but it has been proven to slightly improve whip drop rate. Sorry, I don't have any pics since there really is nothing to them.
  3. You give an interesting point about the rune defender, but I have to disagree here. While they may have the same hp/min the titan has three large factors going for it over bunyip here. 1. Titan can heal over your max hp. Not much of a big deal compared to 2 & 3. 2. The titan regenerates it's spec bar while you are at max hp. The bunyip doesn't do squat if you're at max hp. We can all agree that spec bar = hp, so the titan technically recovers hp while you are at full hp, preparing you for emergencies. 3. At tormented demons, damage often comes in one or two large hits followed by fairly long strings of zeros (depending on your prayer switching ability). When it comes to inconsistant damage, titans and unicorns are superior since you can rapidly use 3 scrolls and have healed either 24 or 42 hp, assuming maxed hp level. 2hp/15secs isn't going to do you much good if you are at 40hp. Although you have a long string of 0 hits to heal over, I certainly don't feel comfortable at that hp with only a bunyip slowly ticking my hp up. Also on another thing you mentioned, while godswords might rip apart whips here, d hallys own godswords. I suppose that's a matter of opinion though.
  4. Your missing the point, if you lose your torso it's gone. You must spend an INSANE amount of time for it again. If any obby mauler dies they can re-buy their equip and get right back into whatever they want to do - they don't have to re-train their stats. I got a torso a few weeks after BA came out, I'm pretty sure BCP didn't exist back then so it was somewhat worthwhile if you wanted to see your max (which I did, of course). Now there are so many replacements it just isn't worth bothering. My torso has been dormant in my bank for months - it just isn't worth using. I can't be bothered with a BCP but there's nothing I can't do better with a torso that I can do than with a barrows top. If you want to be cheap and max, go for it, but maxing only stays fun for so long before you want to try out your max where it counts - real pvp and pvm. In both of those, torso just sucks.
  5. Thanks \ I thought they gave a bit more xp, but since they charge up all glories instantly I'm getting them :P
  6. Monks, they offer -alot- more xp/hr and the gp/hr difference isn't so big since monks are very fast to fish compared to sharks. I'd say monks come in at roughly the speed of lobsters. As for the speed of sharks.... Painful. Remember your fishing summon :P
  7. I'm considering 89 or 90 summon, but before I go out and use that money I'd appreciate it if someone could answer some questions first :) 1. To get the geyser's ranging attack boost, what do I have to do? Is it worth using this boost? 2. Is there any good use for the free hot bowls of water? I think they make guthix tea but I'm pretty sure that's mostly useless. 3. When charging glories on it, do I have to "use-->Geyser titan" individually or does it have some sort of "Charge X"? 4. The scroll attack "Boil" says it has damage based on an opponent armour, in what way? Higher range defence = higher max hit? 5. Talking very roughly, how much xp/hr would a geyser titan get me if I was under attack all the time against something like nechraels, dust devils or dagganoth? 6. Worth spending ~2-3m for it? Thanks! :P
  8. I hate to suggest it, but fire giants. As soon as you can make decent crimson summons , switch over to dust devils if you can. I'd switch over to crimsons at level 32 summon, making honey badgers. Waterfiends are a bit too tough for those stats, but you could range black demons if you're interested in range exp. And of course, slayer will get you many charms as well.
  9. Slightly less crowded. Same level aviansies. NO KC required to get into chamber (required for Kree though) You don't need a sara item, but there are some zammys walking around so bring something with zammy protection. The chamber is much better for aviansie killing IMO, go for it.
  10. Aren't those spread out though? With other monsters, stronger than wild dogs, roaming the same area? Greaters are a great assignment for anyone 127+ anyway, if you bring 200 air runes and 200 minds the crowds don't matter at all, you can air strike a greater before someone runs up to it 99% of the time. Disturbingly enough, no one I've ever met there has been smart enough to do something similar.
  11. They can all be meleed, but you will be meleeing them for a long time. Even with 99 attack, veracs (or GS), piety, super sets and best equip, I hit long strings of 0's when I'm unlucky there. Magic is much more consistant, it's best to bring fire wave (or a charged god spell) and melle. Bring range for ahrim if you want, but meleeing him does the job just as well. A quick search for barrows guides in the archive of wisdom will bring up alot of results, many of which are extremely good guides.
  12. Hunter, lvl 63. Hunter makes farming seem fun.
  13. DDS is easily the most powerful special, but gets boring. D long and mace spec are very fun but not so great (although d mace works great at monsters such as KQ). Do NOT use D B Axe, EVER. If you're considering it, ask yourself "is an entire special bar worth 1k cash or less to me?" (aprox cost of one super strength dose). If that answer is no, don't get it. I would happily LIVE off of special attacks if I could refill my spec bar for ~1k cash.
  14. A little off-topic, but if you're getting 75 just for slayer ring, get 72 instead. It saves you alot of cash and hastle and you can easily make slayer rings using the new crafting pots. If you do a full inv of slayer rings you won't have to do it again for a long time, so the fact that you have to pot up to do it doesn't really matter at all. You can also assist it, but that's pretty annoying to have to go out and ask for each time.
  15. It's sad how long some people spend on this game, but you really shouldn't assume those kinds of things about people. In any case, Zezima wouldn't have been around for so long without Jagex checking him for bot use.
  16. On iron dragons, whip is always better. If you have around 80 or less attack and are NOT on a slayer task, then use a leaf bladed sword on steels.
  17. The greaters in BH crater sound very interesting. I need a place to properly cannon those damn things :P Gravestone update is simply epic, quick "off and on" DC'ing is the cause of 100% of my deaths and I finally get a use out of gravestones. Add an extra minute on gravestones and thats enough for me to go upgrade to an angel of death gravestone right now
  18. I have no problem with it. RS Filter's are pretty lenient now, although they DID used to be irritating as hell, I'll give you that. If you manage to have constant problem with the RS censor the way it is, I can see why you would have problem with getting kicked  You could always open up a web-based IRC client using a free proxy, while using your normal connection for RS. Proxies are typically slow, but for IRC it should be more than enough. Just get a trustable proxy.
  19. I know, that's why you use RS's clan chat system, which works even better than most IM's. I never log in to vent/IRC servers or add randoms on MSN unless they are good friends. Which brings me back to the point of make sure you know your friends. It doesn't take a genius to have a secure computer, if someone really fails THAT badly at keeping your computer safe reinstall your computer with Linux or Mac OS X and throw out the most over-rated, piece of trash OS in the world, Windows. I'm not sure if Linux/Mac stop DDOS, but they give you near-immunity to millions of viruses, no anti virus required.
  20. They can get your ip easily, thats all they need to do it. you don't even need to click on a link even being in an irc chat is a risk as they can get your ip from that alone. :shame: I'm logged on RS right now, show me my IP. (TIF mods don't count ;) )
  21. I think the people who fall of it are either stupid or need to get proper friends. No one should click random links, ever. Even on Tip.It, you should always copy link location and paste it into your address bar before entering it, making sure it's not a trick. The people who do the DDOS'ing need to get a hobby or a job, but there have always, and will always, be idiots like that around. It's all about learning not to do stupid things - you simply can NOT get someone's IP via the RS client so someone who plays it safe will never have a problem.
  22. I don't think I ever recall an aby demon outhitting my bunyip, but I'll definetly use it for the odd slayer tasks : Thanks everyone, I think mith drags sound like fun. Don't even want to hear about waterfiends and KBD after these last few days  I should get 21/hp min at my hp, bunyip is only 8 I think, so I'm happy :D
  23. Just got 88 summon \ I've been planning on using pony at TD's and aviansies (Hate B2P, even if it is only on the rare occasion when bunyip isn't enough), but I'm sure there are other places where it's good at. Without just saying boss hunting, where do ponys shine brightest? I really want to try them out to their fullest :D As a side question, what is the hp/hr or hp/min for a pony? I know I read it somewhere but I can't find it.
  24. I'm proud to be the laziest SOB on RS  I will buy anything and everything at maximum and sell everything at minimum. I won't take a step to get something for myself, hell, most of the time while I'm standing at GE I will buy an item instead of checking if I already have it. If I'm standing at GE and need to go to varrok battlestaff store I will always teleport to GE (using bought runes) to save myself one minimap of walking. I rather spend my time doing what I need to do instead of getting distracted by silly diversions.
  25. Very, very limited. Theoreticly, you could use it just before you run away from a pvp fight. That's pretty useless, leaving it's only practical use - pushing people underground in castle wars and dropping rocks on them for a one hit kill.
