  1. Yeah I heard that too... Anyway, no matter what anyone tells you or where you download it, SCAN IT FIRST. You should scan everything without exception that you download. However, the official swiftkit download -should- be safe. Scan it anyway.
  2. It doesn't bother me anymore, it really isn't that bad. You can't give things out to starting friends, but at least they can get the full experience. After all, the best time I've had in RuneScape was when I didn't know anything and had to do things inefficiently. Oh the feeling of that pride from my first rune mace.... Ignorance is bliss.
  3. No matter what method you use, you still have to go out of your way to repair the pouches. Rings of dueling eat in to profit, at 1.6k per ring thats 56 nats wasted per ring. Abyss method has almost no delay to repair pouches. Grahhk method is also alot faster to repair since you are always near a bank. With the shop method you must run to shilo, or even worse, ardy. I bet in the time it takes you to recharge all of your glories I could atleast do half a run with ALOT less clicking. You also have to waste time getting level 89 to use that method. The only time I waste is getting my rc level high enough to make nats. The only thing I need to recharge is my run energy, which takes like 10 seconds. I'll take you up on that bet. I can recharge all my glories within 5-10 seconds, easily. I also only have to do so every 112 trips, very insignificant. You also assume people are getting summoning just to RC. Granted, not many people have 89, those who have it certainly didn't get it for the glory recharging. Thus, the time/cost for the summoning levels is irrelevant. Also, an extra 10 seconds for recharging run energy is a LONG time when you're skilling, even if it is only every now and then. In the end, the shop method has slower runs. Just time it, and you'll see that this debate is pretty pointless for anyone who either has the summoning level for graahk (very low level required, just about any combat-savy person will have it) or the cash for 28 glories (any serious RCer can collect 28 for the increased trip times).
  4. 8/10 for under a week, not bad. GTFO/10 for not picking up charms
  5. You don't need to do this anymore. An npc will unnote your essense for 2gp per ess. Oh? Missed that update. Well you're still paying 2gp/ess to use a slower technique :|
  6. Your profit goes down significantly using general store due to: Sell & Buy back. Must go out of your way to repair pouches. If you don't go out of your way to repair them, gp/hr goes down even further. Graahks last almost an hour, so there's no fuss with teleporting there, dueling rings are cheap also. For the old abyss techniques, they are still significantly better than the shop technique. The reason your getting bad gp is because your using low amounts of glories. You NEED 28 glories to do this. A Geyser titan brings down recharge down significantly, but with 28 glories it doesn't make that much of a difference.
  7. I'd read a bible before I would get anywhere near that much xp in a skill
  8. If you have a bunyip/unicorn Bandos is fine, but if you don't it would be better to bring barrows since you would have to go in to seperate trips. Piety is very nice, and veracs works a charm there. If you don't mind the prayer pot price then this is the best way to do these tasks. Goraks hit through protection prayers, not defence prayers, so piety works as well as any other place. However you might want to use a barrows top instead of veracs top since it has bad def. I'd say if you have less than 90 def, go with a Torags top (or any other of the highest defence barrow tops). For the other questions, they hit very accurately and relatively high. Bring 2 super sets (I like to re-pot often here since they reduce your stats slowly) and pack in as much high healing food as you can. Pineapple pizzas work a charm. Healing familiars are godly here.
  9. Just tele to ardy and run it, it's faster than finding a fairy ring, teleporting to zanaris and punching in the code. It's really not that far...
  10. Sharks should suffice, but use tuna potatoes if you feel like you might need them.
  11. It's been awhile since I did DT myself, I've only blocked/helped some friends since then, but from memory... Use pro melee on all. For dessous (blood diamond) bring 2-3 prayer pots, a super set and melee equip (mageing works, use fire spells). For fareed (smoke) bring 2-3 prayer pots and mage equip for water spells (melee works, but you need ice gloves from Heroe's quest I think). For damis (shadow) bring an absoloute minimum of 8 prayer pots (12-15 to be safe) and mage him. Not sure what element he's weak to, all the guides out there will tell you that. For the ice boss, bring 5 (not sure on this figure, since you have to kill ice trolls aswell) prayer pots and mage using your best fire spell.
  12. With your prayer level, definetly. Damis is hard to block, but it's possible with a friend (a friend blocking has *not* been made impossible, as is popular belief). If you don't have a friend to help you, you can always buy a large sum of prayer pots.
  13. I think you would call it something more than a "hobby".
  14. ....Wow. I'm speachless  I realise it's not his setup
  15. Combat level is a large factor. As for what you're doing wrong, you're 26king.
  16. That would destroy food/pot/gear prices, since the inflation would funnel into a specific set of items. But as already suggested, making a specific set of non-tradeable items from npc's using pvp only money would be a very nice soloution.
  17. Why did you make a whole new topic when there's this thread --> viewtopic.php?f=30&t=799383 Also MMG seems to be just telling people what they want to hear, just look at above pic.
  18. If you're AFK'ing with elemental spells, go south of faladar and attack the elemental mages, they can NEVER be hit by their own element, no matter what. Just wear dhides (and ROL if you're paranoid of dieing like me ;) ) and you're set. Also, if you're attacking something like a rat you're always going to kill it eventually. Even -65 mage attack will *eventually* hit.
  19. It's hard enough to find something less than 100gp/alch in members. It's outside the price range, but rune meds used to give low loss, I'm not sure if they still do. Never heard of anything else for F2P.
  20. How is everything cheap? It's all going up. And it is a big deal since the supply takes time to adjust (longer times for GE to buy) and people who have their money in cash are losing money, since the value of one gp is decreasing. Now people who care about their wealth have to make sure their wealth is invested in items that won't crash, that's not what Runescape should be about. 26k'ing can be fixed without RWT coming back. Whatever happened to PK'ing for fun? It seems like everyone has suddenly got the idea that PK'ing should be profitable or break-even. Back in the "old" days, PK'ers loved what they did even if they lost huge amounts. If you asked any PK'er back then why they PK, they would say for fun. Nowadays we have PK'ers who have whined Jagex into screwing over the economy along with the rest of RuneScape's players. Also drops do not = fun, PK'ers still say that the old wildy was much better than what we have now, even with the negative profit. They just need to drasticly reduce the chance of a good drop, giving things like food and pots. The potential of a high profit drop doesn't have to go though. Of course, I'm sure someone will/has come up with a better soloution that would stop the water-works coming from the PK'ers, but there's certainly no reason why what I suggested wouldn't work.
  21. Very interesting  I've always looked at that room as sort of a room-of-death, lol. You also probably gave the only real use to heal-other in RS (besides a few pk'ers who scammed one-itemers in BH), although getting someone to try that duo method would be hard.
  22. It's been mentioned a few times (mostly pre-summoning), but yes it does seem to suggest something. If you're a quester you'll know that he actually helps you summon some skeletons, and you can do so after the quest aswell (although for a very short time, and it doesn't accomplish anything after the quest). Necromancery (sp?) would be an interesting add-on to summoning but I don't think I see the need/benefit. Also, he's been there for years now. I have a feeling he was there before Swan Song, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
  23. ...which, again, can be circumvented. It's almost pointless to ban IPs. Also, this "special ID" you are referring to is probably the MAC address. I just happen to have a program here that can change it. As said in Russia... "there is always a roundabout". Aren't MAC addresses burnt into the network interface card? So I don't think software could change it :? Edit: Oh, forgot about router MAC addresses. My bad.
  24. Taking out the most expensive list is a huge bummer, that was the #1 place I went to for getting ideas on what to do and buy. Now my cash pile is growing and I have no idea what to do with it :-#
  25. I don't see how people can keep on saying that they don't care about the job-loss and suffering of these people. People get upset over this video game at RWT'ers, sure it's legitimate gripe, but that doesn't mean we go hopeing that they go starve to death along with their families. Imagine if you pissed off someone over a game and they laughed at you while you lost all your income and suffered. This is very much so a moral issue, would you consider it right for a man to steal a loaf of bread to keep his children alive? I believe so, as long as his theft does not give himself unneeded luxuries (Stealing large amounts of food). What is happening here is just a variation of the same tale. I hate to say it, and don't let it get to anyone personally, but claiming that these people deserve to rot and die is just scum-like.
