  1. The set doesn't look that bad - they just have to take care not to screw up the visuals on the legs and it'll all fit. Why is everyone saying the cape should come last though? I don't see why - we were clearly told that the cape was not going to be anything like an achievment cape. What I'm excited for is the bonus for completing all diaries that we were told of in one of the Q&A's. Surely achieving level 3 in every current and future diary should yield some VERY hefty rewards - especially considering what they already give individually. As to what area next, I'm all for wilderness. Who's for hunting KBD, CE and rev's?
  2. Fair to assume there isn't enough information being provided to Tip.It and they haven't been able to find a formula. You can help here if you want viewtopic.php?f=30&t=788784
  3. I believe 2lum is merching swamp lizards; I don't know about RoWs Damn clans, always merching out whatever you need  Whatever merch clans get, they deserve it. They've been annoying the $%^& out of me ever since the GE - they're the only thing wrong with GE in my eyes.
  4. Exactly, cigarettes, alcohol, coke, meth, crack, heroin. The list of things more important than game "addiction" goes on and on. Not to say above substances are not harmful, but you'd be amazed how many health problems and ruined lives gaming causes. I can't be bothered digging up numbers, but I researched the topic about a month ago from boredom and it turned out to be pretty interesting. Some guy in China played for about ~8 days straight and just dropped dead at the computer because he couldn't be bothered to eat/drink thanks to a WOW tournament, I'd say that's a pretty good wake up call to people to show how potent computer addiction can be. Although, there is no reason why people can't start with both games and substances. Both deserve attention, and computer addiction is certainly much easier to cure from the addict's point of view. I think something should be implemented, but not 8hrs/day. There has to be breathing room in the game or you will just feel restricted. 10hr/day and 8hr/day average would be pretty good if you ask me. Since there are days where we all just having nothing whatsoever to do, reaching 8 hours doesn't really mean it's an addiction. I may have misinterpreted the website, but from what I read apparently some parts in China have cracked down on computer usage and will stop anyone from accessing their internet for exessive amounts of time
  5. void+dfs doesn't need a pony - bunyip does the job fine. Pony is just overkill and wastes profit/effort.
  6. They always go back to the cannon selling dwarf. If your cannon is completely set out (with all pieces, cannon balls irrelevant) there is no way to lose your cannon, it will go back to the dwarf no matter what. That's why you should leave your cannon in wildy if you find yourself interrupted by a rev (cannon protects over just about anything aswell).
  7. Helms are rarer barrows drops/rewards. And more helms are lost when people die.
  8. No anti-virus has definitions for every virus there is, so it's always good to try as many scans as possible. Kaspersky provides a free online scan that has worked nicely for me in the past --> http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner Not much you can do untill those recoveries give you your password back though. Remember to set an e-mail to your account when you get it back - e-mails work more reliably than recoveries.
  9. If cannoning, cannon suqahs to the north of town. Pray mage in prossy armour, initiate if you must. Bring super def pots. If meleeing or ranging, pick any spot south of town which has 2 or more suqahs. They are very easy to kill there since they only melee (and have weak melee attacks at that). Don't pray on south suqahs.
  10. They're just about equal - ss will have more accuracy by a very small amount while whip will have a small strength advantage (from defender). Don't go buying a SS just for garg assignments, unless of course you want to train strength  Choose your weapon based on what stats you want to train.
  11. Grats, a head in 500 kills is quite lucky  Mine took over 5k kills. Anyway, I think it'd be better to hang it in your house. Pets are nice but they stop you from using your summons and can be alot of hassle for a bit of decoration. If you want a pet cats are the best - you get some money on the side at least.
  12. Agreed aswell. Ignorance is bliss - training back then was fun because there was so much variety. Now if I train using a method that isn't the best way there's a small voice in the back of my head saying "wtf go do this the quick way". There is no game suited for everyone though. If RuneScape isn't for you then leave it - you shouldn't play a game if you don't enjoy it. When you get to the higher up levels, the grinding doesn't even get all that better. Sure, you can do it killing a big ogre in a massive dungeon, or in a crypt killing pink ghosts, but in the end it's all the same.
  13. It's been confirmed by jagex that ring of wealth does NOT have an effect on your treasure trail drops ;)
  14. It's a planned RuneScape game, not funorb. It seems to be some sort of a tactic game where you hold command of a small army and defend (or attack?) a castle. Not much detail has been released. It is very likely to still come out - but making content takes alot of time and effort (especially if this minigame is going to live up to all the hype Jagex gave it). Jagex also mentioned changing several features in the mini-game, which probably delayed the process further and that's probably why we haven't heard about it for awhile. Nothing can really be said for 100% certain.
  15. I've been hearing this downhill story for years (I remember seeing it around when I was still a mod) - honestly, I can't see it. The only thing that I see supporting it is the few posters who are into the whole "IB4L" thing. As seen by a few posters in this thread already, they act immature by typing in leet (or something similar) and put "jk" at the end of their post. Does it make them mature? No. Was it around before? Yes. Very very minimal differences. So who cares? If you've been around long enough to see TIF go "downhill" then you will know which posters are mature and worth discussion. If you don't like how some people are just ignore them - chances are attention is all they want. It's your responsibility to keep it in rules. Considering the difficulty of you checking it yourself vs TIF mods checking every user's sig, it's fair punishment to have it removed. If you want your links back mods will PM to you, you just have to ask.
  16. Are you looking for other games? Requiem is a great mmorpg (don't play it if gore makes you squeemish). Generally, most of the asain fantasy games aren't good long term, only enough for a few hours of entertainment (things like Silkroad, perfect world, rappelz). Knight online is decent, but buggy as heck and based on grinding your life out. Run a good search on "top 25 free mmorpgs" and that should be the best way for you to find a good game. There's only one RuneScape though  Don't play if you don't enjoy it, but sooner or later everyone seems to come back to it.
  17. Whichever melee barrows armour you have works fine. Don't use a full set since all barrow sets are two handed (and you need an anti shield). As for the other posts: I don't plan on guides for metal dragons (GP/hr and XP/hr both suck there :? ), I'm planning on a blue dragon guide but senior studies hardly give me enough time to even log onto RuneScape. I do plan on re-doing the black dragon section sometime, after blues.
  18. You don't need to talk to oziach. This is the rumour that just won't die  Drop rates exist for every item, it's impossible for one to not exist for each item. If you killed an infinite amount of iron dragons and recorded everything, you would get exactly 1/33.3 charms per kill. If you kill thousands of them, you will get a very close number to 1/33.3. What is true is that no kill or drop effects your chances for a drop in any future kills (if you kill 100 dragons with no drop your chance will not increase for any particular future drop).
  19. Strength is NOT the easiest, simply because of the whip. No. of skill capes means nothing, because pures add bias to the data. Attack is generally the easiest overall, however it depends on how you define easy. If you already have 100m you can buy prayer and it may seem easy there on, but that 100m would have been very difficult to obtain. Based on that, I say attack, closely followed by defence. HP is an awkward one to say, it's really something you shouldn't be directly training (you should never put SW/PC points into it, as tempting as it may be). Range CAN be easier using chins, but when you consider the money you fork out, it's not easier. I'd say the same goes for mage (I haven't tried any lunar training techniques though). Prayer and summon are the hardest - considering money.
  20. May ask what is the reason to alch there or is there any positives to alching there? Probably for the ruby ring store. If it's just for this, don't bother. Alching rings from this store is slow and a pain (much more so than alching noted items). As said, sara brews, recoils, and get a friend to come use vengence on you.
  21. Yeah sorry but I'm not too sure on why the installer isn't properly installing the framework for you :? To check your which framework you have open internet explorer (firefox, chrome and other browsers don't work) and type the following into your address bar and press enter: javascript:alert(navigator.userAgent) A message box will come up, somewhere in there it should say something like ".NET CLR 3.5.21022". I don't want to cause you too much hastle over this, so you can try this similar timer made by someone else at tip it: viewtopic.php?f=180&t=778195 - Note that it also is a VB app that requires framework 3.5 so if it doesn't work the problem is most likely on your computer.
  22. Are you sure you installed the net framework 3.5? That seems to be a common error of not having it. Another reason for the error seems to be: So make sure you try the setup[Caution: Executable File] file instead of the .application.
  23. I heard this was a bug so it might be fixed, I'm not sure. I don't know the details but somehow you get teleported to an evil tree - you just have to find a world which has an evil tree in ape toll.
  24. It means you were near an evil tree, which is a relatively new distraction and diversion for woodcutting and firemaking.
  25. You don't need to talk to the phoenix, just take the cave out (don't tele inside the lair). I got mine on about my 5th try, but on that try I got two phoenixes, since when I came out of the egg room, I went back to the lair, I used the cave exit again and got two in a row  It's a matter of luck though, I got extremely lucky.
