I remember a few months ago when I tried my first time at CE. The only tips I found anywhere was to keep a full inv. This is probably the only up to date guide on CE on the entire internet, great choice for making a guide :thumbup: 10/10.

"many years" - from my pov he is mocking the kid that he played more then lets say year or two and he is lvl 98 I might me mistakin :? With what daniels said. He's saying that Timmy played for many years so he must have been aware of the rules and you said that just because you play for a long while you don't have to be a high level.

If you ask me, the Summer's quests have been finished. When I did the 2nd quest it felt like there were some loose ends left. I can't remember what exactly is said at the end now, though.

Some things to note: We have a quest line involving lost ghosts (souls) in the wilderness. A new cave has been spotted in the wilderness near the west zammy temple, looking almost identicle to the ones in the previous quests. I think there's a significant chance that if it's going to be released via a quest, it will be one of the corp beast quests (can't remember name of the quests atm).

It's something to look into, I have limited experience with void since I only got it a week or two ago (haven't used it since, either :lol: ).

Lol'd when I saw this. How many people have two champ scrolls of the same type? :lol: Camp'ed down there for 4.5hrs for these :P First scroll was in my inv when i got 2nd, so if you don't use them you could probably get as many as you wanted.

The spirit shields (the good ones) are better. Some people hold rune defender to be close to it. No, for melee xp/hr defender IS better, without question. Never, ever, ever buy a DFS just to train melee, invest time in a rune defender. However DFS is one of the best at tanking bosses and is a great shield for range if you can't safespot. It's debatable whether or not defender or DFS is better in PvP combat. Of course, DFS is a great melee shield at dragons aswell, since defenders don't work so well there ;)

None? It's ALOT of effort just to be able to sit back and say you have a 1 att 1 str 99 def char... But if you really want to do it, go with 99 strength. You can turn it into a obby maul pure later on when you realise it was pointless making the char. If you don't want to do that, 99 def is probably the next best, since you can show it off all the way, instead of waiting for the 99 cape to show off your level. That and you won't get mauled instantly in SW meaning you will actually be able to help with capturing the obelisk, lol. 99 Pray sounds nice but really limited if you want to keep the rest of your stats at 1. Same thing with summon.

I'm not sure what it is, but you can also use the lunar spell Dream which adds either 2x or 4x, can't remember. Stops you from doing things though.

Don't kill dusties for d chain, you may as well make a will and wait to die since the normal person will be dead by the time they get a chain from them. Drop rate is something like 1 in 10k-20k. KQ is the only proper way to hunt a chain, you could try duo but it wouldn't be worth the time. If you can kill aviansies/green dragons do those. (I have sigs disabled so I can't see your sig if you have your stats in there).

Only from abby demons. Abby demons frequently drop exactly 3k coins, ALOT more than other monsters. Anything less than 3k I leave. If I don't already have a cash pile and don't intend on making one (no alchs) then I'll leave even 3k drops. I rather keep the time saved over a couple gp. Time is money.

Reminds me why I hate the media, dramatisation and exageration of every little thing. Some kid loses money on the internet on RWT, so new. His name's "Timmy", people might feel bad with that name, so suddenly it's decided an article must be written telling us of this cataclysmic event. Also, why would he take a pic? The only use for it is to share it, just proving he RWT'ed. I suppose he's only 11.

Since you don't know how, I guess you didn't give out your password or anything to a friend. Did you ever login to a Runescape link someone gave you saying it would give you money/join an elite clan etc? Could have been a phised site (steals pass, looks like RS). The most likely is you downloaded a keylogger, so running a virus scan or two should be top priority. As for the recovery, I think you have to wait an hour after entering your recoveries to get your pass. I can't remember why that is but probably a security measure.

Possibly, I still can't code in it though lol. My VCE revolves around dreamweaver, VB and netbeans (java) so I'm reluctant to stray away from these :P

Bone bolts were nerfed a long time ago, they haven't been worth using since then. They're simply too slow to consider even for low def monsters. Also, don't use bronze bolts. The difference between bronze and iron bolts is HUGE, much bigger than any other two bolts. Always use minimum of iron, but try to use broad if you have the slayer.

Sorry, VB isn't able to do that and I don't know how to use any other languages that allow for multiple OS's. :(

Who cares if people get 99 att 1 str 1 def? It's not hurting anyone. SW rewards are extremely bad xp/hr wise even with perfect win ratio. The only reason the rewards seem good is because the game lets you save up a huge amount of exp reward and get it all in one go. You see people click buy-100 buy-100 and earn 1.5m exp, but you don't consider the 34+ hours it took to get those zeal points.

Range/Mage doesn't hit higher than melee at all. Mage has a max of 32, 30 if we're being realistic. Getting a max hit out of all the ammunitions in Range is very difficult (mainly talking about dragon/onyx bolts there), but I think dark bow hits ~84? One in a million chance of getting max due to two seperate hits aswell. Melee has godswords hitting in 70's, dharoks hitting 110+ PvM, DDS hitting 90+, etc. Anyway, melee isn't as overpowered as people make it out to be. It isn't all about max hits. Range and mage both have extremely high accuracy while melee at times can be all hitting 0's. Range has the combination of accuracy, speed and powerfull hits. Mage has extremely high accuracy, stat nerfs and ancient spell combos. Mage is a bit below the rest, not by as much as people think. The reason why melee is so preffered in boss hunting is because mains tend to favour it more (it is cheaper after all) and you can virtually melee in any armour. Melee, range and mage. With range your stuck in d hides and mage in robes.

I'm looking to hunt avatars in soulwars with ruby bolts, but does range bonus (accuracy) effect ruby bolt spec frequency? Because the damage from the non spec bolts is so negligable i'm thinking of just using full torags and switching to whip/dclaws at 20% hp (when ruby bolt would hit 40's). Would that work? Or am I going to have to get slaughtered with karil/black dhide defence for any chance of a spec?

I think some sites might let you customize stats you don't have, but I'm not aware of any sorry. Just look around for rs sig providers. You could make your own picture if you really wanted and are good with photoshop but you'd have to update it alot.
