  8. Let's try to keep the profanity or acronyms of profanity to a minimum people, and that includes quoting those who said it in the first place. You can get your point across without it. Thanks

    JaGEx >_<

I was reading this up until the point where it became a bickering contest, but there's a very simple explanation for the trade limits. Obviously it's concerning RWT, but a lot of people don't understand why RWT is a problem. Let's say you want to buy a spiffy AGS, but don't have the GP. So you decide to buy some RS geepees with RL money. You can either use a credit card directly, or you can use a credit card to put money into a paypal account. Either way, you've used a credit card. Since this is a youth-oriented game, there's a good chance the credit card you used was not yours, it was probably your mom's or your dad's. A fair number of people doing this didn't ask permission first. So mom and dad get their credit card statement, and see a $10 purchase from RSGOLD4YOU.com (I made that site up, it's not a real one). Of course they don't recognize the charge, so they dispute it. That initiates a fraud investigation by the credit card company. The credit card company will check out RSGOLD4YOU.com and see that it's a closed business in China. The money is gone, the account is closed. A little further digging will reveal that RSGOLD4YOU.com was a company that sold in-game gold to players playing a game called Runescape owned by Jagex. Since the credit card company will not be able to recover the money, they will write it off. But they will also put up a little red flag on Jagex's file as being associated with fraudulent activity. Multiply that by several thousand transactions and now Jagex has a problem. Too many fraudulent problems and the credit card company will decide that it is easier to decline any transactions related to Jagex and RS related purchases. Add in the Gold Farmers paying for memberships with stolen credit card numbers, and you could see a big problem had developed for Jagex. If Jagex couldn't accept credit card payments, then you all could say bye-bye to any and all updates, and possibly the game itself. So the trade limits were introduced. People couldn't break the trade barrier, so good-bye RWT. The casualties included friend transactions and merchanting (to a smaller degree). So instead of complaining about something that Jagex HAD TO DO, you should be thinking of a creative solution to the problem. Jagex could offer unrestricted trade to people with a quest cape. It would encourage people to buy memberships, to grind out all the quests and skills needed to do them, and give something special for quest cape owners. Since a few of the quests require pretty high combat levels, it would also create a long-term goal for people. Jagex brought up the idea of a 'security key' for securing RS accounts. They could also program the accounts with 'security keys' to have unrestricted trade since they had already jumped through the hoops needed to get 'secure' status in the first place.
  11. Thanks for the info : It was a bit irritating that they were 20 minutes late, we had to walk back to BH bank and spam them to get them to finally come over. Guess they were waiting for more people. As a result, we had 2 people leave 10 minutes after the fight started even thought they were full food and pray -.- We figured the fight would have been over by then. Obviously they were just inviting whoever they could find online to get the +2.
  12. No smoke. Jack Daniels does the trick just fine ;) And it leads to interesting team names :D GF Sparta, was fun.
  13. Come around about 5 or 6 EST, most people don't get on until then  Ofc we'd accept the same rules as last time, say 5 EST on Monday? Matched Melee+Binds Rings OK 106 War World Classic Center Bounds Oh and OT: <3 Mori, thanks for the fight :P
  14. Yes, actually we would love to fight you :P Cookie was a bit pissed that he set up a fight with you guys, and when you closed you didn't let him know so he could cancel the fight on our forum. Sucks getting ready for a fight when your opponent won't be there when a simple PM could have saved us time and effort for sign-ups and all that. But sorry about the flame anyways, it was uncalled for. And if you do want to have a fight for your swan song, we'd gladly accept :
  15. It's not like they won't be crashed anyway... Might aswell make an event out of it? :P QFT
  16. Sad to see that TPR, especially since you guys were going to be the first fight for our new team on Monday :| Chemistry is hugely important though, hopefully you guys get it worked out if you re-open. If anyone on your team is looking for a new team to war with, you can PM me and I'll share the info
  17. Strong point: good organization and binding Weak point: pulling high options
