  1. I think the graphics are great considering what it is. Going for better graphics, you'd lose your ability to access it from anywhere (probably won't be able to install it on every machine you want to use). For me, I'm too cheap to pay for members #-o , so why would I pay for better graphics :?: :?:

    How Long?

About  that far on a map. Ultimately the question is as pointless as my answer ... but just to join in the pointlessness ... I'd suggest that Jagex are having heated discussions about where/when to bring these in. There would have been certain standards set in terms of levels to craft certain runes which these may not fit into. So what do they do?? Break the mould, don't release them as craftable? My guess would be ... if they ever do come out ... that they will come out sometime next year, following a very difficult quest. The Talisman would be dropped by a fairly high level monster as a semi-rare drop, and in the beginning the altars wouldn't be accessible through the abyss (maybe needing a second mini-quest with Zamorakian mage and a number of visits to 'point' the portal at the altar). But maybe I'm just being mean since I'll never use it??? An important question they will need to decide on, is should they be doubleable? Double-bloods or double-souls? That decision will pretty much decide what sort of RC level they will be needed at. Hey, how about double-souls at level 100????
  3. =D> =D> After putting so much time into a character, I am very impressed by your maturity that you can recognise what it is doing to your life and taking steps to change it. This is the first step to you controlling the game rather than the game controlling you. Once you are 'addicted' to real life, you may be ready to come back to RuneScape every so often. Good luck ... and don't get addicted to the 360! The risk is still there!! Since it's broken, that might be a blessing to you so you won't immediately go onto that, but from the sounds of it, you're on the up. Have lots of real lol's, woot's and rofl's.
  4. To bring an end to the argument: The KBD can never lose his crown to another dragon ... ever ... it's impossible ... no other dragon can fit through the door to get down to him. He's stuck in a closed in room forever so can't be challenged \ [/winning argument]. :-w
  5. My Wheel Theory The general 'wheel' concept is essentially the same as the dice concept above. Each drop is assigned to a slice of the wheel or side of the dice. Rares might only have one slice (then off to the second wheel), and coins might have 10% of the slices. However a computer cannot truly generate a random outcome as it can't actually spin a wheel or roll a dice, so the outcome is based on specific input criteria. My Theory I believe (without any real evidence), that the input criteria to choose which slice is spun is based upon user, server, and time (among other more generic ones). This would account for the specially good or bad luck that some people get. Another question is "What determines the slices of the wheel or the sides of the dice? Are they always static?". I'm not sure they are. ROW affects slices/sides to some extent. Maybe not all drops are available on each particular spin???? Thus ends my theory ramblings ...
  6. If he is indeed the King of all [real] dragons (are metal dragons 'real'? Or were they manufactured?) ... then surely he would have his guards ready for calling upon. They could beef up his difficultly by allowing him to call in 3 more dragons (green, blue and black) to assist him. Could also make it he attacks with all 3 heads at the same time (on different people if >3, otherwise on the same people). Could make it REALLY difficult to solo him if you're being hit by 3 different attacks concurrently. Probably wouldn't need too much of a stat boost if this were to happen, otherwise max hit 40 per head = 120 :ohnoes: :ohnoes:
  7. See bolded above. Maybe ... just maybe ... that is the exact reason it needs to be moved??? They might want to put something else there in an update later this year??
  8. Randoms are random, only in the sense that you cannot force them to occur. Different randoms can be triggered depending on what you are doing (e.g., you'll never get a rock golem while fishing). Independent of all that, and going back to what I think the original post was about, the rate of randoms has increased. I have an ingame friend who has been 'box bombed', so I had to take all his gems off his hands. I also got my first Drill Seargent last week, along with half a dozen different randoms while getting 2 crafting levels. Previously I had gotten none. HOWEVER - you cannot really compare randoms randominity while doing something different, because location is a big factor in determining if a random might occur, along with what you are actually doing (or not doing). My theory is that if you are seeking randoms, go to a popular bot-spot and do repetitive things there and you are more likely to get some randoms.
  9. F2pers are going to have to be really careful about using some of these in high risk situations. I can see the scenario now ... someone goes PKing and eats something, then uses the hotkey to switch to prayer menu ... BAM ... Runescape home page!! Imagine if P2P had ads too ... one more hit on Jad needed, go to prayer menu ... bye bye Cape If they could make it so the ad changes don't take context off the game window, then it wouldn't be a problem.
  10. Times shown on the site are GMT-5, so this means that i'll be 10pm on 27-June GMT. They really should show a "it is now 2.37pm GMT-5" somewhere. Congratulations on the soon-to-be level. I have been impressed to see how quick you knock through levels. =D> EDIT: GMT-5 is the server timezone and is the one used if not logged in. Once you are logged in, you can set your timezone in your profile. So if the post says "2hrs 50 mins to go" and you are in your local timezone, check on post time and add 2hrs 50mins.
  11. How about the Skill Cape Guild. You need 1 skill cape for entry, but the more you have, the better benefits you can have. Benefits could be relatable to the caped skill, or relate to similar skills, e.g., a WC skill cape owner gets extra xp burning logs in guild. Also the Skill Cape Guild provides access to the level 100 attainable items: - double rune mining - level 100 slayer monster dropping high value item that isn't too rare - triple NAT crafting or a gigantasaurus pouch - monsters that drop 'god' bones - boosted high alching (1.25 times high alch value) - convert POH to castle with moat So you get extra benefit from gaining lvl99 in a skill but also get a boost on leveling the other skills. Of course the 'easy' 99 skills should give less benefit than the 'hard' ones.
  12. I can see it now ... all of a sudden they become an useful/important weapon following a new quest or stat change, and the price skyrockets ...
  13. My personal opinion is that they are working on a bank update and are working on a chat/friends list update. The real question (to me) is how much resource are they focussing on these at the moment. I'd suspect that they are in the trial phase where they are trying out a few different ideas to see which could work best (or which would get the least number of rants!). I'd also take a stab that F2P would get a little more bank space if/when the bank update is done. I highly doubt that it'll happen this month though.
  14. If these were your options, then #2 may well be quicker. For me though, I usually buy kebabs from Al Kharid (see the AOW guide for more on this) so it is definitely quicker to Jail Tele. If your target is Port Sarim to get to Karamja, then the benefit may not be there.
  15. While I agree that something could have been done to the Dragon Sq (and who says that something isn't going to be done), it would be illogical to use it as a base for dragonfire sheild. Only the antidragon sheild has the protection properties and the visage only allows for the storage of the firebreath. If the Dragon Sq was used as the base sheild, then you'd need 2 rare drops (or 1 semi-rare and 1 very-rare) in order to create the sheild. Also someone mentioned on page 1 that the recharging is free. I'm not really sure if fighting dragons counts as free . Will be interesting to see how rare the visage is ...
  16. I use it if I'm training combat at Ice Giants. Home Tele -> Walk to Al Kharid -> Stock up on food -> Jail Tele and walk down to caves. Saves having to take Tele runes. P.S. - I'm F2P
  17. That would require programming - which wouldn't work on the forums and would have to be a download, and lots of work. I know that I, for one, just put the item list together out of boredom and nothing better to do. Oh yeah, should have made that bit out more clearly .. it'd require a lot of funky programming (nothing that I'd have the time or skills to do) that would be either a download or a web tool, but definitely not a forum thing. Your work getting the list is great!
  18. Hey, maybe you could have a special back-base that enabled you to setup your cannon on your back. Portable carnage :-k
  19. It all comes down to what you want your end result to be. Manipulate your parameters so that you'd get a higher or lower result. Option 1: All accounts not banned -> low combat level Option 2: Option 1 but guess at macroers numbers and exclude them -> A huge jump over Option 1 Option 3: All active accounts only (includes macroers, but not all the forgotten accounts, lost passwords, quit accounts) -> big jump over Option 1, but not sure how it'd differ to Option 2, since there are high levels who quit I'd expect Option 3 would be the one that most people would be referring to in their guesses above, and 35-45 for F2P + 50-60 for P2P would be my guess in that category.
  20. Good guide. My suggestion for the Tips area, link to existing AOW or Player Made Guides. That way you won't need to reinvent what has already been done. As a courtesy, ask for the guide writer's permission of course. Just make sure you only link to them if they are actually good! But even without that, it's still a good guide. You could even expand it a bit further by splitting out requirements under Easy, Medium and Hard quest types, i.e., to complete all Easy quests levels needed are ... What I'd really like to see, is taking information like this, add to it the quest dependencies, reward information and my already completed quests. Then I can select/enter what I want to achieve (reward, certain quest completed, etc) and the system would autotmaticaly give me a graphical outline of the order of quests, along with the requirements for those quests. Ah, I can dream ... anyway, I'll shut up now :-#
  21. I was wondering about this, whether armour just affects being hit or also how much you're hit. The bow's special only negates your armour's protection against being hit, so the protection about the value of the hit is still in place. Therefore higher level armour will cause "worse" specials compared to low level armour.
  22. Just to take a slightly different tack on this for a moment ... if you use poison arrows (I'm assuming you can also poison dragon arrows) and the special, you guarantee that you'll poison your opponent. Being a lowly F2Per, I don't really know what I'm talking about, but if your goal is to poison someone, this is a pretty safe bet. Also if poison 'stacks', i.e., 2 hits = 2 different poision counters, then it can only be a good thing (unless you're the opponent). But again, I'm only F2P and the DDS special may 'always' hit enough to guarantee poison so it may not really matter ... just a thought. I do enjoy watching these discussions though.
  23. I decided to be generous to someone I met while fishing, gave him a Rune Battleaxe. Then after more talking and he mentioned he was saving for full Rune, I gave him 100K. Sure it doesn't sound like much ... but I am F2P and I gave away over a third of my gp. However I still taunted the beggars at Barb Village begging for food. Man they are annoying!
  24. Yeah ... me too. I broke both of my arms at the same time and still had to go to school. Still climbed around as normal too ... kept on getting told off! Probably would play if I broke my arm, just not do something too risky!
  25. You are all WRONG!! (except the comments about dragging up an old topic). The Zoo is actually under the control of the Ape Atoll monkeys. They have planted their spies there which is why the greegree also works in the zoo. Everyone is distracted by the penguins, then in fact it is the monkeys calling all the shots.
